  • 10-13 2010 the mini 123 flashlights now have IPX8 waterproofing.

  • fenix ld20 is using the xpg-r5 as of first of 2011

  • Did your 123 come with the little key ring that your lanyard attaches to? When I recieved my mini 123, it didnt have anything for the lanyard to attach to. I was curious if it was an error on their part or if it's something I have to get on my own. Thanks.

  • @car97 - Yes, it came with everything you see in the video

  • Gonna order a quark mini123 first and later a blue or black preon 1

  • 4Sevens has horrible customer service.

  • @jbum03

You have an entire forum @ candlepowerforums that would disagree with you.

  • 144 lumens for the s3 . . .

  • @rbahng yeah, but 210 lumens for the xm-l t6 for one hour, thats basically more efficient and brighter than some surefires.

  • Mah is milli amp hours so basically how long it lasts

  • As many have said, nice review, thanks! Sub'd

  • hi, i am looking to find my husband an awesome xmas present and wanted to know what u recommended from 4sevens? i am leaning towards the regular size quark 123 and maybe a freon (i believe that's the name?) i have NO clue about flashlights so any input is appreciated. thanks in advance!

  • @ChristinaLovesSushi - The Preon has the size and shape of a pen; its a great pen light for the money and carries easily in a shirt or pants pocket. The quark123 is brighter than the preon, but its more substantial than a pen light. I have both and I find that I carry the preon more on my person, where I use the quark "around the house" or mounted on a rifle. Both are excellent lights, and your husband will be stoked to get either (or both) as a gift!

  • @ChristinaLovesSushi your husband is so lucky lol. Urban's right, i have the preon 2 and i love it. As for the 123 i'd probably get the mini unless he's going to mount it on a rifle or something like that. Usually smaller means you'll carry/use it more.

P.S. usually you can get them cheaper if you dont go to the manufacturers website, try google or amazon first and see what comes up.

  • Nice part 1 of review. Just for your info, you might have missed it, but this is in fact waterPROOF to IPX-8 standard, which means it's pretty well completely waterproof. This is a copy/paste from the 4Sevens website page for the Mini 123:

    "Water resistance: IPX-8"

  • Any issue with accidental activation while in your pocket?

  • @irhombus - No, but with the included lanyard, I don't wear it in my pocket. As I stated in my vid, give it a good 360 degree turn off, or it has a greater chance of coming on when you may not want it to.

  • interesting light, I don't mean this in a harsh way but you could kind of "get to it" a little quicker. but you are well spoken and I enjoyed it.

  • @bigallay - Heh, I'll work on the "diarrhea of the mouth" in future vids!

  • Thanks for the review, it's a great light!
