i have a mare who is the grand daughter of cherokee run and she is sooo pretty she is also the grand daughter of lear fan, her registerd name is deer fan, i love her and i love the studs to!
Seeing Discreet Cat was awesome. He was such a nervous racehorse (I remember once, his trainer said before his races he would shake like a leaf) so it was so nice to see him so calm and happy. He clearly loves the life of a stud. The people at Darley say he's got the prettiest face at the farm, and I have to agree! :)
Henry is so gorgeous. I was so happy to meet him. I really believe he ranks as one of the best looking racehorses I've ever got to see in real life. And he's so well mannered. Henry was the whole package. :)
wow. i wish id of got to meet all those horses. Ive recently started getting big time into racing b.c of where i work they breed them. its a difficult process since we live in nc. lol. but the horses are all born in ky. Right now we have a filly out of aragorn. anyways thanx for posting this it was exiting getting to see them.
i wish you would have seen Bernardini and shot him...i started my bloodstock carrer in 1997 and that year my favorite filly was Cara Rafaela, the dam of Berni...i also have footage of Henny Hughes as a yearling at fasig as a yearling where i really wanted to buy him, but $180k was way too steep...i also shot a drop of video on Any Given Sat. after he sold at keen...i have to transfer a bunch of stuff from vhs, so i can download...the footage u did get is awesome...love Henry & Invasor...nice
I was a little mad that so many of the Darley boys were in Australia but that just means I can make another trip down there soon and see them. :) I'd like to see that footage of young AGS and Henny. Thanks for watching!
Brilliant job and Well done you! You have memories for a lifetime. These open house events are great opportunities for people to see these giants up close. I adore the picture of Henry the Navigator's eye - you captured his spirit. All the Shadwell and Darley boys are stunning. Jazil would rather chew on his lead shank. Where was Daaher? Thanks for sharing - there are so many people who would have never had this great experience if you hadn't posted it. Cheers to you.
Thanks so much. I have to say, I've seen a lot of racehorses and Henrythenavigator was one of the most stunning ones I've ever seen. Oh and Daahar was busy eating at Shadwell and we only had a few minutes to spend there so we just left him alone. I'm really glad you enjoyed this. :)
WOW. Awesome video and pictures!!! I lost count how many times I watched your video to get a glimpse of all these great horses. How did you get to visit all these farms in one day... how did you plan it? Thanks!!!
Hi friend. Thanks for watching. :) The reason I got to go to so many of these farms is because of the Keeneland sale that goes on the first week or so of November. Because all the breeders are in town for the sale, most stud farms hold open houses. I looked up some of my fav. farms and called to see what the hours were for that day and then headed off to go see some of my favorite boys. :D Thanks for watching and glad you liked it!
ahh ohh! EKK! War Pass,Jazil and Invasor are so my babies! I hope you gave them a hug for me!! xD Looks like an awesome trip! I LOVE your hair cut btw. Im guessing that was you in the clips.
My 3 fav horses I saw were, you guessed it, War Pass, Jazil, and Invasor! Small world right? War Pass is much bigger than I ever imagined! And thanks for liking my hair. It wasn't cooperating much cuz it was windy all day lol. :)
Hehe ya! They are all awesome! ^^ I mean who could not love those stud muffins!? I never thought War pass was so big? actually,I thought he was quite small. Maybe my TV is is messed,or my vision..either one. No,your hair looks totally cute here! My hair cut is similar and I can never get it to look that good. I also like the song you used,I just love this video! I've seen it like 10 times! LOLZ! I just love these guys!
That was a cool "field trip." Great job. You definately have talent! Was looking for my favorite of Darley...Where's Bernardini? Can you meet him there?
I wanted to see Bernardini too but him, Hard Spun (my favorite boy in the world), Any Given Saturday, Henny Hughes, and Street Sense are all in Austrailia for the southern hemisphere breeding season. They'll be back in Decemeber. I was sad not to get to see them, but maybe next time I go, they'll be there. :) And thanks for watching! :D
Thanks! Henry was probably the most photogenic horse at any farm I went to. It was impossible to take a bad shot of him! He's gorgeous and he is a major ham for the camera. :)
do they offer public tours or something?
