  • He was a commie? lol I am joking, what an amazing person.

  • a real OG

  • Holy duck. He was born in 1800. That's awesome.

  • @GreenLantern771

Still in the 19th century. Which is really cool to me.

  • Jiroemon Kimura , who took the title as world's oldest living man from Breuning can surpass him if he lives roughly two weeks more...

  • @LINAZAS and now he is the third oldest undisputed man ever :)

  • he was born in my birthday

  • 114..... ther are some ppl are 170 and they arent in the oldest ppl in the world.... screw tv...

  • @MrZaa7eef

Well,to tell the truth, most people who say that they are 170 or anywhere close to there are usually baloney. But there are probably people a BIT older than even Jeanne Calment (122) ,like maybe 125,or such, that are still around today. those people in the middle east, call me racist, but due to lower standards of living and bad health for many,i dont find it too plausible.

  • I'm amazed that someone can experience so much and still be so sharp.

  • Have to correct Mr. Breuning: World War 2 did not help the country get out of the Great Depression. Although people were being put to work, standards of living did not elevate, and all the production was being used to fund the war.

  • R.I.P!!!!

  • These are the most valuable words I have ever heard firsthand. I wish i could have met him and talk about the good old days I never got to see. Rest in peace Mr. Breuning.

  • Walter is cool...! Love to just hear him talk about life.

  • He was 12 when the first Ford Model T was built. He was 15 when Titanic sank. He was 21 when US entered World War 1. He was in his mid 30's during the Great Depression. He was nearly 50 when World War 2 ended. He turned 60 during "I Love Lucy's" original run. He was 67 (over average retirement age) when JFK was assassinated. He was 81 when Lucas' Star Wars hit the big screen. He was 93 when the Berlin Wall fell. He was 109 when Twitter came about. And what a cool guy.
  • @andros1984

You can't really compare Twitter to those other things, lol.

  • @KingDiamondHead Absolutely, lol! I think it's a rather bizarre juxtaposition from Titanic to twitter, but it expresses his longevity.

  • Soooooo pissed that he died. Even 4 months later I'm still pissed

  • if theres any red dead fans if you realize walter would be the same age a jack in 1911

  • This guy was a freemason.

  • Foe some reason old people are cuter than babys!!!!! :) I cant understand wat he's saying!!!:(

  • He was the last man that could possibly remember the 1890s at all, being born in 1896.

If only I could of asked him...

  • @hurryupche You fucking piece of shit, go die in a hole and shut the fuck up you miserable piece of shit. It's too bad you can't deal with life and you're the most craziest psychopath ever. Everything that you called us was a lie, that's only what you are. You belong in a concentration camp you racist asshole. Down with Hitler, that rotten scumbug piece of shit can burn in hell for what he did. Hail Jesus the lord our savior, too bad you're a nazi, can't wait until you're arrested. Hail Jesus

  • @TheInvincible1997 can I ask you something? You call your self a follower of Jesus but look at what you just said, do you think Jesus would approve?

  • Just pointing out that he got a couple facts wrong. FDR was elected in 1932, not 1930. We entered World War 2 in 1941, not 1942. And he couldn't have remembered when they invented the car because it was invented in 1885, nine years before he was born.

  • @noahfuckyourface you should atleast give him alittle more credit. And you're wrong about when the first car was invented. People have had been experimenting with steam engines for non-locomotives since before the civil war. And you if you were to see a car before 1910 u were just in the right place at the right time. People stuck with horses well into the 20's and cars weren't seen too often. Just be lucky you got to hear Walter share his experience and advice cuz I am.

  • @rredman84 I understand that he had seen a shit ton more over his life than I have. He just got a couple dates wrong. And if there were cars before 1885, he still couldn't have remembered when they were invented. If you were born in the 60's you couldn't say you remembered when computers were invented, but when they came to the general public is a different story.

  • Can't believe he left. Such a sweet gentleman. Rest in peace, Walter.

  • Can't say enough about this guy. I watch this vid once a month or so to remind me of the big picture of life. R.I.P. Walter. You were a great man!

  • who'd believe he was in his 80's or even 70's if i told you?

  • These words comes from a man with 114 years of experience, and at 4:49 he summed up the most valuable guidelines that generation after generation miss and ignore. Kudos to this man, we should all have those values. After watching this small interview he got all of my respect. Rest in peace Walter, you truly deserve it.

  • This guy lived to see 3 centuries and 2 milleniums.

  • rip , the man spoke true wisdom.

  • dad?

  • the amount of history in this mans vains is amazing. rip wally

  • This man is the true definition of centennial

  • Inspirational man.

  • r.i.p.

  • I think also before titanic? amazing guy..

  • It's a shame to know that this amazing library of human knowledge was gone!

  • To think, this guy was alive during William freaking Howard Taft's presidency to the invention of the iPhone. Just let that sink in for a minute...

  • RIP you lived a good long life.

  • My grandpa and lot of my relatives worked at the railroad as Breuning did.

    RIP Mr. Breuning!

  • He is one of the world's wisest man.

  • Unfortunality Walter breuning died on april 14 2011

  • Aww I just wanna give him a big hug :) He seemed so happy, RIP.

  • Rest in Peace Walter, you were an inspiration.

  • this is adorable! <3

    r.i.p walter breuning! < 3

  • @neymoura on the yahoo article.. you can search it up

  • He was still coherent when he died, its sad when a persons mind is trying to out live their physical body.

  • I guess this gives Bob Barker a chance to become the oldest man in recorded history someday. Bob would have to wait a long, long time, he is only at the tender young age of 89 or 90.

  • I think it seems sader that he died while he was still a coherent person with a personality. It would not have been as sad if he were a human vegetable laying in bed all the time and did not interact in life!

  • I don't get why some people who are human vegetables can beat out a man like him, he seemed completely functional!!!

  • I think death is always random, some live to 74, some 96, he lived to 114 and Jeanne Calment lived to 122. I don't know how to explain that!!!

  • Requiescat in Pace sir Breuning. You have our respects.

  • I really wish I could've had the privilege of meeting Mr. Breuning. Reading about him in articles and watching his interviews really inspires me to live my life to the absolute fullest. It makes me sad to see him go but his legacy is here to stay.

    RIP Walter Breuning

  • This is amazing! He has such an amazing memory. R.I.P Mr Breuning, you deserve every respect and to always be remembered.

  • he has sympathy for Hitler.. he said he does

  • I can't believe it .. I was following his interviews and articles, thinking he was going to steal the title as the world's oldest. He remembered hearing stories from his grandfather about the Civil War when he was a 3-year-old boy. I've never seen someone that old still have all their marbles like that - he is one in a TRILLION. Rest in peace, Mr. Breuning. :(

  • i cant believe he is gone. im so sad!

  • cant get more bad ass then this.... RIP walter

  • too bad he died R.I.P

  • when he was 27 (which is my age) it was 1924. He still had another 87 yrs to live! When he was 60 it was still only 1957! He's witnessed all of humanity's kindness, cruelness and successes. What dreams he must have had! R.I.P old man Breuning. Your my inspiration.

  • @CorrectSuspicion Oh, so he is now the world's oldest man!!!

  • @Pugslee3 yes and he'll be 114 as well the next 5 days if he dies the new oldest man is 111 years old

  • He was a obviously a very nice man. I'm saddened to learn of his passing and I hoped he would live for quite a while longer. RIP Mr. Breuning.

  • R.I.P Walter.

  • rip walter

  • How could he have died? He didn't even have to take medication. He was perfectly healthy!! Obviously he was assassinated. . .

  • Rest in peace :(

  • aww man..RIP.. =[[[

  • R.I.P

  • Wow what a wonderful human being, an inspiration.

  • WALTER BREUNING 1922!!!!!!

  • He should walk in one of those relays for life because he himself is a cancer survivor and this would make others fighting cancer feel better (dianosed with colon cancer when he was in his 60's. I'd say he lived a FEW more years after this).

  • This is a good way to live... exercise your mind and body, get educated to the fullest, and always be kind and helpful to others. After living his life... you cannot take what he says for granted. He is to be commended and respected, his example followed. Thank you, Walter Breuning!

  • He is the definition of ......... The Man Of Wisdom

  • @Marzojty17

Not anymore though! He's dead! May he rest in piece!

  • @Hockeyvalley

    Are you serious!? R.I.P

  • @Hockeyvalley

Sorry I spelled that word wrong! Peace ofcourse sorry!!!!

  • This guy is amazing!

  • aww he seems really nice and happy

  • 114 and still has real teeth, I'm impressed to say the least.

  • @laxe99 Nice. :)

  • He is third oldest man ever

  • He talks about the early 20th century like a person in their 60's would talk about life during the 1980's!!!

  • Every day is a good day

  • I love how according to him the secret to outliving yoda IS NOT getting laid. WOOHOO!! LOL!!

  • @calrone r u a retard?

  • He was bench pressing 500 pounds when WW2 started or he wouldn't still be alive lmao what a bunch of belugas the people were that said he was too old he would've been like Chuck Norris on his worst day. Walter, that is.

  • Cut him some slack on not mixing up his words on wwii haha. His brain and eyes have been functioning for 115 years...thats 30 years before the first television was created as well as 30 years before antibiotics. Oh and his heart has beaten 435494880 times (he was 71 at the time of the first heart transplant.)

  • @guccimain89 is heart beated WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more then that.

  • @Wildkayleighkay scuse me. missed a zero. It is to the one more power. multiply that times 10. its about 4 to 5 billion not in the hundred millions i beg your pardon

  • Wow, what an amazing fellow. I'd love to speak with him or any experienced senior about life in the 1920's.

  • am i the only one who caught him saying ww2 started in 42? at 1:48

    i love this guy!

  • @quwerty90 The old timer is actually right because he's referring the year in which the United States join. The USA "joined" the war after the 7th of December 1941, following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Learn your facts mate!

  • @quwerty90 He's talking about america's involvment in ww2.

  • @DzekoVelez oh okay thank you

  • I love old people x) theyre so cool, he reminds me of my great-grandfather

  • nike air max TN just $49 for sale at usee shopping.com

  • this age will be common by near the end of this century as life expectancy continues to rise. there are already over 12,100 people over 100 in britain and it is said to soar to 208,000 by mid century and then in 2080 there will be over 2 million centenarians and 21,000 over 110 or more. in years to come we will see more of people at this age and i believe that if u stay healthy and on your feet and feel young inside you can live a long happy life and with medical advancments for strokes, cancer.

  • Walter Breuning is a legend!

  • He outlived not only all old people , but supercentenarians themselves

  • "Every day is a good day" - that is the key to longevity.

  • Amazing.

  • Very Blessed..

  • 2 people are school dropouts.

  • I just read that Walter Breuning's birthday is the same day as Corinne Drewery's. Well, they are both 63 years apart.

  • I would be of the same age as him at 2108.

  • @CorrectSuspicion born in 93 or 94?

  • @bornbroken7 11/11/94

  • @CorrectSuspicion same here, my birthday is April 3,

  • God I wish I was this mans age so my life can be over already.

  • People born in 1914 are young enough to be Walter's children by age. Nuff said!

  • anyone noticed the guy on the bottom right at 1:49 is naked?

  • 2 people disliked this? You assholes! What the hell? How can you dislike the wisdom of this man? I'd give $1,000 to talk to this man for one hour.

  • I love this guy and I watch this video once and a while just to keep things in the right perspective. My grandmother died on Sunday, and her funeral was today. She was 98, born Jan of 1913. She was a lot like Walter. She never complained, always making the best of what she had. She lived in Milwaukee and loved The Packers, Bucks, and Brewers, but especially the Packers, so I am glad she got to see her team win another Superbowl before she went. I will miss her!

  • damn he still can remember things from the 900's and i can't remember where did i lost my virginity

  • Now i am in the age as was Walter the period 1921-1922!!

  • Man, it's amazing. He was 80 years old 35 years ago.

  • @farvin111 I know, and he was a middle-aged guy in the 40s!

  • @farvin111 Hence, him being 115 years old, idiot.
