  • Utterly Amazing in ervery single detail. It doesnt get much better than this people. x

  • her voice is so sharp so fine so beautiful :)

  • LIz simply makes the lyrics come alive...inspiring...

  • I ♥ U

  • i like the elegant and spare riff. would be nice music for a scene in a movie where a flying car explores an alien city

  • What a lovely version. Thanks for sharing! :)

  • I've loved Liz Frazer longer than some people knew who she is.

  • This is not the best version of this song. There are acoustically superior versions worth finding.

  • Headpohones on lay back and listen eyes closed ,,,,,,,,the BEST,,,,,,,,

  • how can 7 people dislike this? absolutely amazing song live!

  • E A R G A S M I C

  • Increibleeee!!!,acojonante!!!,sin palabras...te teletransporta a otra dimension...MAGNIFICO!!

  • It`s GREAT !!

  • she is one of the most consistent singers I have seen , as she sounds is as she sounds.

  • simplemente, EXTRAORDINARIO...........

  • MINDBLOWING. What happened to the creativity in popular music that the masses could truly get down to? The revolution starts when the 99% can agree upon something and this my friends is the power of MUSIC>

  • This is a fabulous version of this song.

  • This woman has the voice of an angel ... listening to her sing in Cocteau Twins used to give me goosebumps

  • some special,,,for me....beautiful,,,,o)

  • this shows you how music speaks to people. The 2nd top comment is from a 70 year old drummer, and im a 15 year old teenager... The vocals are so beautiful and send chills down my spine. I hate pop music, and this just... speaks to me. Wonderful work Lis Fraser. Beautiful job.

  • @smallmanification Good lord both of you in the top rated section check out the Cocteau Twins. Wanna know where the inspiration on the latest Sleigh Bells album came from? There you go. There has NEVER been a vocalist in my mind who's even approached Liz Fraser.

  • BRAVOOOOO....!!!!!

  • great wee scottish lassie singing, gone yerself lizzie xxx

  • This is art.

  • Why does this song make me want to rush to the emergency room?

  • rainhaaaa

  • Is she blind ?

  • What? MTV still plays music? Really!

  • What? MTV still plays music? Really!

  • The good music died in the ninetys... And the end of the mankind comes after this.

  • I first heard this song at the Nakid Lounge Coffee Shoppe in Sacramento, CA. I went WTF?!!! Cocteau Twins?!!! I know that's Bitzie because I have the Pink Opeaque memorized NOTE FOR NOTE (also I saw CT in concert as well). This was YEARS before HOUSE sucked it up as their theme song. I swear to GOD, many people do not know the song has lyrics or a woman's voice singing on it!!! I am getting insufferable in my old age. The Sex was better, the drugs were better, the music was more better...

  • this music gives me the chills in the most positive way

  • Even my uncle agrees that this generation has been some of the worst in a long time.

And this is coming from a 48 year old man who was always up to date on the latest musical trends, so you better believe he's seen quite a bit come and go, and then even come back again.

I remember he came into my room once and I was listening to Massive Attack, and he was just like "I'm proud of you." and I looked at him, and we both laughed our asses off. I knew exactly what he meant.

  • @EnDZYm3 Your uncle sounds like me and Im 50

  • @knhead

Well, you two are pretty close in age.

  • i thought this was the start of elizabeth's voice changing, as to me

it does sound remakeably like sinead o'conner's [then jem started

to sound like elizabeth and now liz sounds like jem] but anyhow

this song is a triumph as its surely the most played song as a

backing track on television, usually in the right way, unlike melonella

that was once used on a cookery programme for chopping melons

    [anti-imaginary]

  • Timeless!

  • ---------------I love it------------------

  • super.

  • Both thumbs up!

  • Fucking brilliant!

  • I'm a 70 year old jazz drummer, and I find this song and Liz Fraser absolutely marvelous. It is now in my "vocal" file. I have to check out more of her music...

  • @mrsticks28 Try Cocteau Twins ;)

  • @KurdtKoebane1 why am i still met with blank looks when i mention CT??

  • @tony501 because it's lame to be young and ignorant. CT rock my world and will always rock my world...

  • @TheOddgothgirl Ditto, was talking to a guy today and he had only heard Pearly DewDrops in the day! How do you explain thats only the front door to a house packed with great albums and songs within. I love Aikea Guinea, best video too, in my opinion, and as for the Sleeve, i had the vinyl 12inch, absolutely loved it!!! still do, the cd case doesnt do it justice really!!!

  • @mrsticks28 get any of the cocteau twins early stuff and anything after :)

  • @mrsticks28 Then listen to Cocteau Twins!

  • @mrsticks28 If you want to find out more, explore the entire Cocteau Twins catalog. It's truly revolutionary music--some of the many great artists who came out of the 4AD record label (including the incredible Dead can Dance) from the 80s. I envy you because you're about to find music that will change your life...

  • @mrsticks28 you really need to check out song to the siren by this mortal coil, her voice is epic on that :) shes divine :) plus that song is a tim buckley cover so check the original , they are both very good :) gl

  • @mrsticks28 Then I am sure by now you have checked out the Cocteau twins and This Mortal Coil. If not then there is a good starting point for you :)

  • @mrsticks28 Try everything she did with the Cocteau Twins especially their older material. cheers !

  • @mrsticks28 There's never been a vocalist like her. Full stop. Liz Fraser is the embodiement of using one's voice as an instrument.

  • IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Supeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer like

  • OMFG I never knew Liz Frazer was the singer of this song!!!!!!!!!!! Wow she is awesome.

  • Moi, j'ai 46, et ça me fait le même effet, so, don't you worry, there's nothing wrong about that, it just means you're still alive, and that's great! Merci Liz!

  • Juste magnifique!J'adore!

  • i learned about elizabeth fraser when i was just about 16 and wandering around in my own head, when one a.m. long past after hours this dj said, "kitten, check this out..." he dropped "evangeline" on me, and i had my 1st religious experience :*)

  • Massive Attack have always choosen well with female guest artist on their albums.Stunning.

  • do you remember back? The time when MTV was full of GOOD Music? I miss these times... My best 90's will be gone forever :'(. Now only mainstream Justin and Rihanna shit.

  • Dr. House ♥

  • One of the greatest records ever made...period!

  • No...I was in LA about twenty years ago....the guy serving me in a 7/11 on hearing my Scottish accent, asked me if I liked the Cocteau Twins... I remember thinking how can a wee girl from the Grangemouth Area be making such an impact amongst the young trendies in California, the reason is simple , she is one in a million, William Wallace for Wars, Alex Ferguson for football, Liz Fraser for the most wonderful vocal you would be lucky to enjoy in a lifetime....hope that clears things up cosmic pa

  • Liz, you are a genius, up there with Alex Ferguson and William Wallace.Xx

  • @rachelcat07 up there as in Up, Up there (dead?)

  • @CosmicPandaMan No, They mean it in a sense of top of the list. Like, up there on the genius list. :)

  • @RoozzCreation oh :)

  • goosebumps

  • Thank you!

  • Unique.

  • MASSIVE COCTEAU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Those cymbals/high hats add a whole new dimension to this already bamf song.

  • Nothing, is true. Everything, is allowed.

Her Credo, My Credo, Our Credo. WE ARE ASSASINS:

  • @toscaloosa67 shup up assessing crep

  • @toscaloosa67 we are assassins true.

  • she's so cool

  • that fade in is the shit!!!

  • is this the song used as the intro to House? or.. is it just me?

  • @waffle1683 Yes it is :D

  • @waffle1683

    It sure is! Awesome song.

  • @waffle1683 YEAP THE SONG IS USED FOR THE INTRO OF HOUSE GREAT TRIP-HOP SONG

  • I am in love with this song but Whoever mixed this needs a little work on vocals though; hell it might just be the bad quality-audio.

  • love that deep rich bass they added on this live version ; still a top all time classic.

  • @TheMightyBlighty No, my name is not Dick.

  • is it wrong to be a 41 year old male and cry?

  • @TripeSmuggler hell no!!

  • Comment removed

  • @TripeSmuggler no way bro. it just goes to show you how brillant this song is!

  • @TripeSmuggler Not at all mate, Liz always makes me cry happy and sad

I can't imagine a better mix than MA and Cocteau Twins influenza, I love Liz and I dont know her

  • @TripeSmuggler No, man!

It means that you are a human being. :-)

  • @TripeSmuggler of course not!!

  • @TripeSmuggler it would be wrong if you were virgin

  • @TripeSmuggler No, not at all

  • @TripeSmuggler not at all.... I've got this on my favs as I love Liz and I love Massive Attack. We were about when they were about so it takes us back to our youth :) That's me greetin again

  • I wanted to get this of my chest, WTF is Tulisa ruining an amazing, beautiful, soulful vocal such as this? I don't like disrespecting but people shouldn't try and live of the musical and vocal genius that Liz Fraser has and at the same time make it sound so bad.

  • @TripeSmuggler touche fcking turtle man ...

  • @TripeSmuggler means you're still a human beeing!

  • @TripeSmuggler No its not wrong to cry but it is wrong to be a TripeSmuggler...I had no idea the demand for tripe was so high that there was a illegal black market!!!

  • @TripeSmuggler no tripe - it isn't wrong!

  • @TripeSmuggler Nah its naturale! :) At soe point we all have to realize that lif is going on and on.

  • @TripeSmuggler Boys don't cry. But men sometimes do.

  • Comment removed

  • @TripeSmuggler No, good music usually evokes that kind of feelings.

  • @TripeSmuggler That would depend on the circumstances. If you had just accidentally shot a "Passlode" nail gun through your foot it would be perfectly acceptable OR if you had just drank a bottle of whisky and your father had just died a day or two before, yep, okay. If your only crying for a song ....hmmmm. NAH ! Unless your a gay PC faggot or something, a bit TOO MUCH in touch with your feminine side,. If you know what I mean ;P

  • The best female vocalist of the past 50 years. I always imagine Liz Fraser being alive in the 1500's, and royalty and the wealthy coming from all around to hear her sing. Like a Mozart of singing.

  • This is fucking real music..this is why I love music!!

  • the voice of the angels.....

  • Never thought i would say something like this .

But the drummer needs to tone down .

  • @pcrvg0808: You're CLEARLY a total cunt.

  • @tnsandland You need one to know one ?

  • It's weird seeing her looking older. I always remember her when she was just 22.

  • @sirtinycreep She has grey hair now and looks nothing like she used to. I saw her accepting an award with Robin Guthrie in 2010 or so, and I didn't recognize her standing behind him until she started talking about being in the band.

  • @Polyfusia She's let herself go. She could have least dyed her hair.

  • OMG ELIZABETH

  • MTV: hey remember when we where all about music!!!

    Veiwers: Yeah!!!

MTV: well too bad up next a bs reality show !!!!!

    Veiwers:FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU-

  • As a vocalist, Liz Fraser shows massive talent on this "Tears for Fears" song. It's a startlingly beautiful attack on my senses.

  • i am speechles <3

  • Definitely an influence for Portishead in my opinion...

  • anyone know if its birth or death? has Massive attack commented on it?

  • JUST AMAZING

  • goose bumps! Great track!

  • need no drugs....just close my eyes an listen....

  • @bavarianoutlaw serious...

    Love, love is a verb

    Love is a doing word

    Fearless on my breath

    Gentle impulsion

    Shakes me, makes me lighter

    Fearless on my breath...

need no drugs... i just close my eyes and listen...

  • I love this song!

  • Fabulous song, love this performance in particular! Cheers!

  • con todo el respeto... la musica tiende a comerse la voz

  • @Fancy1403

Es culpa de MTV. tengo un DVD de Bjork en vivo con MTV y pasa exactamente lo mismo.

  • This is what class sounds like

  • As a HUGE fan from BEFORE this was featured on "House" (which I also like) this is simply Inspiring! I had no idea she also sings "Song to the Siren", another fave of mine!

  • Absolutely incredible vocals!

  • magnifiqueeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • this song calms me down

  • Life Affirming, and easily the best version on youtube. Grazie...

  • if only you were younger Liz I would so fall in love with you as the only Goddess of the entire universe!

  • What a fantastic climate the build here. Thanks for posting this!

  • quality - this is not about 'house'

  • well...well...well... It's all well. Yes, I admit, House made me like this song. But Liz made me LOVE it. =)

  • I will always love you Liz. I was on Lessa's Facebook page today, and I gave her a big nod too! I am so grateful for Massive Attack, Cocteau Twins, and Leesa for bringing it all together for me. I am so grateful.

  • Elizabeth fulfills me and I love her for it. :) I hear the quiet soft tones and hear her voice in my ear...and mmmmm the beast is calmed within me. Ive never lost that. a! :)

  • Вери, вери гуд!))) Сказочно.

  • The beautifull song that presented me to the wonderfull world of massive attack and the creative scene of bristol, and cocteau twins.

  • is this a live performance?

    it's beautifully shot...

  • This song has always been mindblowing

  • kargia

  • fantastic. thanks. what year is this?

  • Elizabeth Frazer (Fryzjerka) since Cocteau Twins forever is the most amazing vocalist. I love her voice for more than 20 years. And M.A. is a mark of its own.

    Genialne połączenie... Btw,

Taka muza w 'Housie' - nieźle świadczy o twórcach serialu

  • This song seems to explore a particular layer of consciousness. It sort of begs a soul to dig deeper than the outer layer of what seems to be visible to the naked eye.
