That setup has maybe 40 LBs of holding power (being generous), enough to reel in a fish over 100 LBs... but you would need at least 80-100 LBs of holding power to pull in a fish of 400 LBs. A 400 LB fish would have snapped that rod in half, or stripped his spool.
