i wish there was a link between 2nd gen and 3rd gen. effy did that for 2nd gen and that was what enabled 2nd gen to keep the show interesting and continue skins. with effy as "alpha male" (or female in this case) continuing where tony left off, series 3 and 4 were able to meet the expectation (drama, intensity) that has been set by first 2 series. so far no one is connecting to the previous casts who we are fond with. but change can also bring some good and i'm hopeful that it will in time
