@billcollinslv Thank you for taking part in it, it means a lot for a whole generation of gamers and will always have a special place in our hearts. Also, your character was awesome ;)
yeah i played this mission, and i beated it. It was hard, but not the hardest from the game. The hardest mission was nod mission 11, in which your objective was to recapture GDI techcenter and destroy all GDI forces in the area. OH...MY...GOD. This mission was just .... i was realy going crayzy about unstopable Gdi ficking airstrikes, and mammoth tanks, this was the hardest mission.
@vorteksio2 after reading your comment I wanted to check which level it was, so I looked under my saved games and it came up with "Nod 11 - Fucking Hard."
So yeah lol really tough, never managed to complete NOD when I was younger completed it a few times now :D
@philanderadriaan on the first commando mission if u blow up a different building besides the landing pad then youll have to attack the same territory again and it displays this message at the beginning and u have to do a very hard mission where u build your base and destroy nods
cutter finally fixed his equipment at last. 'be careful the tiberium may cause negative effects on people' most people tend to already know this at this level
I always keep running out of troops and tiberium in this mission. I've already cleared 3 fields of tiberium and still couldn't wipe out that damn base.
Even doing the silo trick doesn't help. Guard towers can only do so much.
I remember this mission. It's one of the hardest RTS missions I've ever played - and I've played a *lot* of RTSs - the only one that comes close is Ordos Mission 3 in Dune 2.
Beat the whole GDI campaign - Ion Cannon > Mammoth Tank > NOD. ;-)
This mission was still crap tanks and Humvees vs annoying flamethrower bastards, though. I died a few times before the MCV even arrived trying to get started...
Yeah I know, it was a hard mission. I was annoyed when I found at that if in mission 6 (with the commando) if you blow up the Nod airfield you skip to level 8! O_O
"It seems to display negative effects on some individuals. Like ME! Oh bother, what am I going to do? What is that thing that looks like veins crawling up my arm? Is it going to be quick or am I really going to suffer? Oh no, oh noooooooo!!!!" *bangs head against wall*
Jackques, the previous mission's (the Commando one with the scrambled briefing) objective was to destroy the airfield. This mission is accessed by destroying any other buildings in the Nod base. (It will still say Mission Accomplished though)
What!!! he expects us to destroy whole nod base with one commando??? He's a Moron....

Dude... Why the desert cammo?
TheXxxvalterxxx 1 year ago
@TheXxxvalterxxx It's GDI, most of their equipment is tan, gold, or desert camo-colored to contrast with Nod's red, black, and urban camo colors.

Why didn't I get this mission briefing?

The missions (and their briefing videos) will differ depending on which territory you've chosen to attack.

Apparently most C&C commanders don't give a shit, so it's all good.

my favorite thing is that carter is just a normal guy, not some big gung-ho grunt on roids

you should build medium tanks! thats how i acchomplished it use guard towers to protect your base against infantry(build walls of them!)
and if light tanks are attacking use your tanks!

You shouldn't clear any fields, always keep a hum-vee over some Tiberium so it'll regrow :)
JohnFotios 3 years ago
@sfried Latestreplyinthehistoryofever but if you blow up the tiberium refinery in #6 the cpu doesn't rebuild for #7

What Carter's really thinking:
"It seems to display negative effects on some individuals. Like ME! Oh bother, what am I going to do? What is that thing that looks like veins crawling up my arm? Is it going to be quick or am I really going to suffer? Oh no, oh noooooooo!!!!" *bangs head against wall*
