Okay, so I have a 8G Zune, maybe three years old. I was running out of memory, so I bought a 30G Zune (used) on Ebay. How do I transfer music from old to my new Zune without losing my music protection? A lot of my stuff is from CDs I own, bought some off Amazon, etc. It is all music I own, already paid for. I DO NOT want to lose my library. I need help in the transfer. Thanks!

if u have an older version of limewire, then click on the explore button and i guess you can try copying and pasting, or if u have limewire 5.0 or higher right click on the song and click on "Find on disk" & copy and paste
But i think it would be better to just once you get to the screens with all the music files on it to just right click on a song and press "PLAY" or "Play with windows media player"
Add them to a playlist and then you can sync them which i think is safer than copy &paste.

I so prefer windows before mac but when it comes to mp3 players, apple has really done it.. No one will ever kill the ipod, deal with it .. The Zunes are still on the ipod video level? :S

Want to keep the song? Buy a 5 dollar double ended audio jack cable, record the song in Sound Recorder by plugging your zune into the mic jack of you computer, edit the file to the correct length, convert it to mp3 using any freeware converter, add to your zune as a new track. Free music for all. If you have a zune, that is.
you can do the same thing with and ipod, other mp3 player, cd player, tape player or even a RECORD PLAYER if you even know what that is.. you can do that recording thing with anything not JUST A ZUNE

Zune2 does.. I'm not a big fan of Zune but its cheaper :P i saw a 30GB going for 79, which is a huge saving in comparison, thats why i dont like apple they are too expensive.. =/

as mine comments were made earlier on here, still i like the zune. they just came out with new ones and new software for the new one. i thought i had to by the new one to get podcast and stuff like that. turns out that when you download the new software it also upgrade your zune so you dont have to buy a new one. you cant do that with ipods. you can only upgrade the software, not the device. zune for the win.

I have Both the Zune & iPod Video, hands down the Zune is a much better product. For example sound & video quality is much better. Zune has a Radio receiver, iPod doesn't.
But if you're into style & looks then iPod kills the Zune. I personally don't like the way the Zune looks it way to damn bulky & that color makes it look like a terd of SH**.
If Zune wants to ever take over the market they need to make the Zune look more stylish. give me something to flaunt Microsoft!

they will probly come out with movies and videos for zune pretty soon. right now there just starting out. remember when ipod first came out, it was big and it only was use for music. then a year later they started making movies and videos for it with different ipods.

i like my zune, i thinks its better than the ipod, i also like the radio feature. i can watch my video's or listen to music on my xbox 360, i can also charge it while the xbox is off instead of leaving my computer on to charge it. i dont even have to buy a charging dock for it. with ipods, you have to buy a bunch of accessories with it. the reason why everybody hates zune or saying they suck, is because most people have ipods. just wait, more people will come around.

the transfer is slow in that video it is a pre release zune. a 4mb song goes in less then 5 seconds most of the time.
the 3day rule is to prevent piracy. i think the ipod has a 0day rule. (it doesn't transfer at all.)
zune doesn't realistically claim to do anything really new. but it does more then an ipod atm. raidio, wireless, music and images at the same time.

Buy a 5 dollar double ended audio jack cable, record the song in Sound Recorder by plugging your zune into the mic jack of you computer, edit the file to the correct length, convert it to mp3 using any freeware converter, add to your zune as a new track. Free music for all. If you have a zune, that is.
