  • Good rock wont die

  • His voice hasn't changed in the decades that have passed.

  • The years have not been kind ..... :-(

  • @keywestjj It isn't JUST the years! lol

  • what a poor rendition; he looks drunk or sick or both.... the recording is FAR bettter...

  • Commander and the guys are all so easy to listen to and be around. They all treat their fans like longtime friends. Each one is a gentleman and musical encyclopedia. Mark is an excellent player and great guy, Put Steve Barbuto in the search and see more recent videos of them from this past summer. They send me lots of different and interesting things on Facebook it is great being friends with them. Put braggville in the search for some of my tunes if you want... thanks Charlie

  • i think i'm scared for life

  • yea firestone

  • some things get better with age, somethings just get older. but I still think its worth watching.

  • Oh son...

  • Can you post "Stealing from the 7-11 please?"

  • Met him in Puerto Rico in Dec 2004 at the Hilton ,what a week!

  • Dang, time is a cruel master. George(Commander Cody) Frayne looks friggin old and sounds just about the same. Not only that, he looks and sounds like Shemp Howard (you know, Curley's first replacement, Three Stooges fame). Other than that, I glad you are still showing us your talents George. Keep performing.

  • I imagine his lifestyle had a lot to do with it.

  • @tomshiba51 Actually, Curly was originally *Shemp's* replacement - Shemp came back after Curly had a heart attack.

As to what the Commander looks like - he was almost killed in a serious car crash in 1986, and apparently this is why his back is terribly twisted; he can't walk upright, and walks hunched over and uses a short cane like Marty Feldman as Eyegor in "Young Frankenstein".

But he still stands up there and beats hell out of those 88s.

  • kool tune still played live.

  • I'm glad about the internet. Artists don't need record company assholes anymore.

  • Got that right, adamsfunnyfilms! All they do is get in the way.

  • Commander Cody Band should release another album man. Are these guys still going or what?

  • So why doesnt YouTube play "Stealing from the 7-11?"

  • they are a great live band. Mark can do it all on guitar. Steve never misses on the drums and Tiny is the best steele guitar player around. The Commander is well he is a must see on your live show list. Rick is gone but not forgotten.Long live the Commander Cody Band !!!

  • Its true .. I love Bill myself ,, I like Andy ,, I love everybody ..I worked for them in the summer of 73 ,,,

Rick H and the ozone road crew ... I was there ... Bily C ,, Lance was there .. I still remember 'the commander" I was on the bus.. Fun times.....

  • U ARE THE BEST ...

  • LOVE it but why take out the origional...we love you CCODY. Luna

  • I could only wish to still be able to do that at that age.

  • i have been to bill kirchen shows and he is awesome but to judge the commander on this minute video is unfair. seen him in concert over 10 shows in the past years everyone is roaring at the talent the band has. emmerick is more than talented knowing his way around a fender strat and les paul every show they give.they just get bettter with age.mullens rolls fingers on the bass better than anyone. steve a drummer that never misses a beat and chris olsen. pedal steels with the best of them.charlie

  • What's so bad about it?

  • WELL, compare it to the way he could sing and play way back when... open your ears, man.

  • I agree nkbakker1...I wish I'd missed this.

  • that's just sad

  • I take back what I said ... it is pretty BAD...go find Bill Kirchen ... he freakin RULES!

  • Not bad at all but Bill Kirchen does it WAAAYY better ...

  • I love the intro on the guitar.

  • commander is always great and treats people like people... mark emerick is an awesome guitar player... steve barbuto fabulous drummer and rick and tiny on bass and pedal steel make this the best and hardest working band in the business...love to the band... charlie

  • @braggville Good to see Emerick getting his due.

  • Fun show, thanks for posting.
