Just a little nitpick: I like hand-drawn animation as much as everybody but I am really off put by a whole slew of bashing on CGI animation (no love for CGI?). In terms of films Pixar, Dreamworks, and others has provided films like the Toy Story Trilogy, Wall-E, Shrek, and etc. that match if not exceed SOME traditional animated films both emotionally and technically. All I am saying is that CGI is no Hand-Drawn animation because it ISN’T Hand-Drawn Animation it is its own creation.

@TheMantaBluRay I believe Shawn and I agree with you on that one, but we just wanted to state that this film had such high quality for being a film from 1984. I personally enjoy both traditional and CGI--perhaps Shawn was referencing Japanese animation and its implementation of CGI? I will have to ask him about that.

I saw this when i was a teenager on hbo , movies like akira got me into anime , films like valley of the wind kept me open to the wide array of story's and ideas ,that anime and manga can bring to film as an art form .
