  • for the image of the video i tought that head was an easter egg XD

  • how much they demand ?

  • why he wants transplants now? LOL...

  • @getmeatgmail i was wondering the same thing...

  • ok enough talk, show results!

  • @AvacadoDesperado check out the results on hairtx [dot com]. i have hundreds on there. this is just a tutorial on understanding how to design hairlines based on the degree of hair loss and the extent of donor hair available.

  • always keep on talking...tsk4

  • very informative video thanks only the problem is money hehehe

  • wo0ow i need that

  • Great informative video! I'm presuming you guys have been recommended by the hair restoration forum,if not you should get in touch with them because you really sound like you know what your taling about. Hope I have as much confidence in my surgeon when i have my HT done.

  • @vorkutaman honestly, i don't believe in paid forums. the pay to play model does not work for me.

  • @samlammd As is your choice. I wasn't actually aware that you had to pay. I believed that the forum recommends surgeons after the surgeon has posted his work on the forum and answered questions by the forum members and been scrutinised in that way.

  • @vorkutaman interesting ok. i will look into it.

    thanks,

    sml

  • is their any side effect?

  • @calmguy1 any surgical procedure has risks such as poor growth, unnatural result, scarring, etc. but in general, it is very safe and can help fill a large area of baldness. one more important thing: if you are young (under 30 yo for example) you have to be careful because with ongoing hair loss you may run out of hair to fill in the area around the transplant (which is permanent) leaving an unnatural result.

  • I want to draw on hes head :(

  • this may sound stupid but can donor hair be someone else? and can it be taken from facial hair? beard, sideburns...?

if I still have a lot of hair on the top of the scalp, can transplant somehow save it, "reprogram" it somehow?

  • @poltergeistish replying to all your questions:

    1. cannot use someone else's donor hair. it will be rejected.

    2. it can be taken from other areas of the body using FUE but there is only limited supply and does not grow as perfectly as scalp hair.

    3. hair cannot be reprogrammed or saved but propecia/rogaine keep the programming longer so to speak.

    best,

    sml

  • I'm 23 and I guess i better start saving for transplant...

if i haven't lost my hair but starting to, can the ones that are on my top part of the scalp be saved somehow? Propecia, does it work? should one try with it as well?

one question, may be stupid, but can donor be someone else... like brother, father, sister....?

  • how far off on the horizon do you think hair cloning is?

  • @trevormac77 personally far off still. but they have made some advances.

  • i am 23 male and loosing hair rapidly...

    both front and top...

i have been suggested some meso-therapy by a doctor.. can you plz tell me if it would do me any good

  • that dude talks alot about ????? what did he say ??

  • In all seriousness can body hair (chest/back) be graphed onto the scalp for hair restoration surgery?

  • yes, but it may not grow as naturally as normal hair. it is a last resort area to harvest.

  • I'm 31 and my hairline looks exactly like the one portrayed here. You seem to imply in the responses to the comments below that donor areas can't be used over and over to provide hair for the rest of the head. Won't hair just regrow after being pulled out?

  • the hair is not pulled out. it is removed from the back and moved to the front. once it has been moved to the front, it is no longer in the back, which means after 5 to 7 times typically, you are out of donor hair. that may sound like you have a lot of times but i need to gauge how much loss you have and how best i can ensure that we do not run out of donor hair in the future. however, at 31, you will definitely need more sessions in the future due to further hair loss.

  • Hello Sam, I'am 25 years old and also going bald, it seems to get noticeably worse every few 3 to 4 months. What would you recommend doing? Also does using Rogaine and/or Propecia work? If I were to use it would I use it to the point where I'm comfortable with the hair growth or is it something I would have to take for the rest of my life or so?

    Please help. Thank you.

  • at 25 with rapidly progressive loss, you should be on rogaine and propecia. they not only both work. they work better in young men starting to lose hair. however, you are correct you need to be on them for the rest of your life or you will have lost what you gained during the time you were on them.

  • @OpuSIII

They both work best on young men, becuase young men, even before visually become balding, they're already running out of donar hair before they notice. This is because testosterone levels are the highest in young men, yet their hair roots are still able to produce alot of hair. However, they're runing out of them while not noticing any hair loss. The thing is that out of every hair root, only a certain amount of hairs will grow in your life. When you're balding, you've already run out ALOT

  • Wow how much does this cost. I'm 23, and need like 1/64th the amount of hair restoration the guy in the video needs.

  • at 23 i would be very careful to do it because you might run out of donor hair to cover the transplant result. this is hard to explain but i would be very careful to do a transplant at your age.

  • I have plenty of hair on my back, chest, and other regions. Can't they just transplant that to my head. I'm dead serious, I have plenty of body hair! I'm like a werewolf, or a bearskin rug.

  • @kh1129 yes, but it is not as reliable as a first line use. body hair can be used when other donor hair is burnt out.

  • @kh1129 u r funny!

  • could you give me a rough estimate, its no that much hair gone, and I want it just moderately dense

  • I'm 21, and have been losing my hair for about 4 or 5 years now. I got the "V" or "M" look in the front of my head. Would the procedure look good on a african american, and how much is it per graft?

  • if you are as young as you are and a male, it is not advisable in many cases to do a hair transplant because over time with further hair loss you may run out of hair to cover the area that was transplanted. hope that makes sense.

  • i was wondering if i can get hair transplan from some body else

  • good question but no. if you transplant hair from someone else, it will be rejected and come out and cause major skin issues in the process of it being rejected.

  • i am 30 years old, just give me an honest question if that was you would you do the hair transplant?

  • that question depends on so many factors: how dense is your donor hair, how much hair loss you have and how much more would i expect, can you afford more sessions (which you will need given your young age), is your crown opening to the point that i really will have a bald patch left then i would recommend shaving. it is complicated and requires an inperson consultation for making the best decisions.

  • Hi, i'm 24 & losing all my hair on top! It started a little more than 2 years ago & hasnt stopped since. I'm the youngest of 3 boys & have the least hair. Any suggestions??? Thanx!

  • you should consider rogaine and propecia. they tend to work quite well in younger patients to slow down and even reverse some hair loss. be careful to undergo a hair transplant at your age. there is always a risk that you will run out of usable transplantable hair down the road, leaving with you a permanently unnatural result.

  • my hairline is starting to receed but only early stages if i got a hair graft now for my hairline would it still fall out around the crown area???

  • the crown is a separate issue. sometimes people just lose their front but not the back. some people just lose the back. some people lose both to varying degrees. hard to predict.

  • where can i find you DR. i need a front hair my hair is going in yearly

  • i work in plano, texas (a suburb of dallas, texas). for more info, you can visit hairtx [dot com].

    best,

    sml

  • generally no. once transplanted they behave like the hair from the back of the head, i.e., they are not genetically programmed to fall out.

  • I never see hair transplanted into the temple area,Is it dangerous to do that?

  • just did one today. temple hair is not dangerous but it is much harder to do right. in inexperienced hands it looks ridiculous. i do very nice temple hair transplants.

  • omg...thank you 4 replying to my question very fast response...thanks...you have given me hope!

  • you're welcome.

  • ok its me again! =-) how much are each grafts for men Ive been reading that it just varies where and if your a good candidate..which I know I am...

  • i don't charge per graft. i deliver on results based on a range of grafts rather than a per graft charge. i hate per graft charges. i can split a graft into 2 and charge you more. you should be paying for a result.

  • thanks for your knowledge

  • you're welcome. thanks for the comments!

  • Thankfully I still have a lot of mine but I think I'll get one when I get old XD

Anyone know how much one of these transplants cost?

  • i prefer to use rogain foam

  • sharpie XD

  • nice video.
