This proves that Carnival FAILS at almost EVERYTHING except taking your money! They are the Motel 6 of cruise lines. Food sucks, rooms suck, entertainment sucks, activites suck. This can happen on any ship at any time and anywhere. It's due to corrosion of a waterline, usually from hot water systems. It's more common than you think but the fix is pretty simple.

Wow, the worst thing that happened on Carnival (& we went a handful of times) was the AC went out in Puerto Vallarta and it was 100 out and humid, The heat came on and started blowing and the cold water ran hot.........Made for a 2nd excursion trip out to the city lol
I have been on 3 seperate carnival ships and about to go on my fourth in June and I have never experienced that water problem. And I have been to Bahamas, Mexico, key west, gran cayman , and Jamaica. Best vacation you can get is a cruise and I've never had a complaint about anything on a carnival cruise.

Ok....from a plumbers point of view....the spitting that you seen shows that there was air in the lines... Have you ever had a well and the power went out? that is exactly how it acts. All of the rust and everything releases from the pipes and when the water comes back on you get that color for a time till it clears the lines....evidentally thay fixed a break in the lines or something happens. I have been on many cruises and this is the first time I seen this so it is not common.

I have absolutely nothing against Disney, they do a great job with everything they do. Heck I even own Disney timeshare at Disney's beach club resort. I can only speak from my personal experience, but unless it was seawater from a nuclear powerplant run-off, it wasn't "seawater". It only takes a little common sense and some eyeballs to see that seawater (especially out in the middle of the Caribbean) doesn't look like that. It looks like, hmmmm, SEAWATER! Its clear! It only appears blue cuz of it's depth! This shit coming out of the faucet is dark Yellow and brown!!! Besides, when I called on the ship n asked, they said it was "rusty pipes".

I have taken 12 cruises with Carnival no problems.. Took one with Princess and never again there was no AC in our room had to buy a fan in Alaska and our shower had hair from the the cruise before us,
If you 18 to 21 years old, then sail Carnival, if your older, use common sense, sail a more professional cruise line, RCCL, Princess, Holland American, Disney.

This is not uncommon on older Carnival ships...Carnival puts off maintenance for as long as they can. Before mocking me realize I've done the research on Carnival, they have the singlemost delporable record for client satisfaction with ratings so bad the gov't took over compiling their record of client disastisfaction. They have a delporable enviromental record..the Carnival Holiday dumped amonia water in Alaska, covered it up and when caught fired people to answer for it.
well I've personally never had a problem with Carnival cruise lines. I know I'm not to expect the most luxurious cruise ship experience ever; I don't expect the Queen Mary when I board, however it's not like they're total crap.
To err is human, after all. So they had a mechanical slip up, it happens. Don't tell me you've never had an electrical problem or water problem in your house. Machines break down, no avoiding that.

@critter784 ya there is air in the line probably due to plumbing maint. A pipe with sitting water will due that let it run for a bit and it'll be fine . But americand dont keep there shops clean I went to a gas stationjust over from the cdn border and the usa clerk was a towlie and the shop liiked like the supermarket from the game postal LOL NO JOKE

I am sorry but there are plenty of American companies that do well and Carnival is one of them yes they appeal to first time cruisers and yeah water on any ship will and can do this but overall they are doing very well in the cruise industry and their corporation is still blowing RCI out of the water.... but for the price you pay compared to royal caribbean to be crammed on a ship in smaller rooms and more

I have absolutely nothing against Disney, they do a great job with everything they do. Heck I even own Disney timeshare at Disney's beach club resort. That being said, I by no means what so ever would ever think about grouping the great name of Disney with Carnival Cruise Lines. Carnival has a lot to learn from Disney!!!
And I mean A LOT!!!
RCL has it all over Carnival and could actually be compared to Disney.
I'm not sure what u do at Disney, but its not ur homework about Carnival!

my grandparents went on princess and their water looked like that but only for like half a day so did my brothers friends on disney and his looked like that for the entire 4 days

I can only speak from my personal experience, but unless it was seawater from a nuclear powerplant run-off, it wasn't "seawater". It only takes a little common sense and some eyeballs to see that seawater (especially out in the middle of the Caribbean) doesn't look like that. It looks like, hmmmm, SEAWATER! Its clear! It only appears blue cuz of it's depth! This shit coming out of the faucet is dark Yellow and brown!!! Besides, when I called on the ship n asked, they said it was "rusty pipes".

I have taken 12 cruises with Carnival no problems.. Took one with Princess and never again there was no AC in our room had to buy a fan in Alaska and our shower had hair from the the cruise before us,

It isnt sewage.. It is physically impossible for sewage and fresh water lines to mix. It is rust and air. Not uncommon. Gross yes.

Typical Carnival...create a situation that literally endangers the passenger's well being and they blame the passenger or in your case it sounds like you had to fend for yourself.
At the US Better Bueiness Burea and US Dept of Consumer Affairs Carnival has a "highly unfavorable" rating...client be warned when travelling with Carnival.

This is not uncommon on older Carnival ships...Carnival puts off maintenance for as long as they can. Before mocking me realize I've done the research on Carnival, they have the singlemost delporable record for client satisfaction with ratings so bad the gov't took over compiling their record of client disastisfaction. They have a delporable enviromental record..the Carnival Holiday dumped amonia water in Alaska, covered it up and when caught fired people to answer for it.

well I've personally never had a problem with Carnival cruise lines. I know I'm not to expect the most luxurious cruise ship experience ever; I don't expect the Queen Mary when I board, however it's not like they're total crap.
To err is human, after all. So they had a mechanical slip up, it happens. Don't tell me you've never had an electrical problem or water problem in your house. Machines break down, no avoiding that.
Also, provide sources please, as Wikipedia says nothing you mentioned.

I was on this same Cruise and we had the same thing in our cabin... it was disgusting... and they won't satisfy the customer... amazing. Their was a news story all about it on Bay News 9. You should send this to Jonathan Petranala at Bay news 9. He would love this video.
