Jeez those were some beautiful landscapes. Some of them remind me of some of the scenes from the western Good For Nothing. Just lush landscapes blended with the desert scenes. Really just amazing. bit. ly/eOX07K
Hey man! You have done a very hard and beautiful work, you must be proud of you! I'm spanish, from Madrid, and I've been to Amería in summer of 08 looking for all the locations, but I couldn't find all of them, so I supposed that they were lost, and now I found that the ruins of almost the entirety of the sets are still there! It's really cool that an englishman travel to Spain to do a search like this, that make feel proud of my country for being the natural sets to such great pictures! Thanks!
ive seen this video tooo many times.. and ivenever realized at the end " june 2008"... i was there the same date... i was in almeria all the film locations.. during 20th to 27th june 2008...
what a memories.. i love westerns... spaghetti westerns
Real, unique and revolutionary classic! Clint Eastwood, Gian Maria Volonte and Lee Van Cleef did a brilliant job. In this film you cannot find just good and bad guys which makes this film even more special. I always praise original films more but For A Few Dollars More was even better than original. Our modern so-called "blockbusters" look like crap compared with this trilogy
Outstanding job! Fantastic work researching and getting so many angles then and now spot on. This is my favourite movie of all time, and next time I go to Spain I'm definitely going to go there myself for my own tour. Thank you so much!
Whoever produced this, major kudos to them. Really is a quality project and covers a gamut of memories and emotions for me from the 60's. Thank you for being able to go back 40 years for 5 or 10 minutes.
These scenes draw so much emotion. Growing up in the 60's, these films were so much part of my life and still are. To see these locations now makes me realize how long it has been and how the films have stood time. It's like another life now. At least three unknown geniuses in their field came together (Leone, Eastwood, Morricone, etc) to change motion picture history forever.
Wonderful video. One always wonders what film locations look like many years after the films shot there were made and released, so thank you very much for posting this.
Amazing to see that not that much has changed in the area since 1965.
Brilliant video. I have been all around Almeria, Tabernas and along the Andalucia coast; it's a special area. I love these videos you made showing before/after. :)
This first class! Fantastic blending of the original with the 'now' I went to 'Agua Caliente' about 6 years ago but never found the meeting-up place for the gang after the bank raid. You have done a great job.
Hi Ramon. I thoroughly enjoyed accompanying you on part of this recent location tour and having watched you quietly snapping away I think this latest "before & after" piece is brilliant. You are undoubtedly the master! Keep up the good work. El Mal.
I hope that you had a good trip, Fort Bravo I think is the only working set these days so it does change from time to time depending on which movie or advertisment they're filming. The changes are normally cosmetic so the basic structure looks pretty uniform. A while ago they built a Once Upon A Time In the West hanging arch although the real one for the movie was constructed in Monument Valley.
I am doing fine with two kids....travelling quite a lot around central & east europe and around Russia. Both of my boys just love Leone&Morricone. Are you ok? still travelling to Spain every year?
Yes I get over to Spain a couple of times a year. The landscape is changing so fast so there's always something new to see. Hope you see you in Almeria one day soon.
Absolutely fantastic! I admire your hard work to locate exact spots for each scene. And thank you so much for sharing! It's fascinating to compare then and now. Amazingly, some places have not changed so much.

Very cool clip.
Did anyone else notice that every window in that little town was barricaded with security bars and every door had a security door?
