  • they would not have spoken french or English, they would all have spoken middle Irish/middle Gaelic. Both Scottish and Irish would have been mutually comprehensible

  • If you know only one language which language do you write in. Maybe next time I'll use the translator and write some smart ass comment ment to piss everyone off! Who knows I may even get a visit from the US State Depoartment and get a lecture on foreign relations?Parinoiya will destroiya.Def Lepard

  • it seems like some ppl dont know the purpose of translating a movie to another language to make it easier for a foreign country (and by that i mean with a different official language than english) to enjoy the movie as much as you can do in english :)

  • Ce gars est trop Cool...Excellent!!!!

  • haha les povs english sont réellement pathétique comme a chaque fois

  • Damn, this is so hilarious

Irish and British speak in French

  • @Fremen87 English aint our language just as much as french aint irish is our language

  • I agree! Can someone please post this in English? Thank you.

  • I'm begging someone to post this in HD and in English. Begging! Thanks.

  • at least make it the Breton Language at least then it would be celtic

  • C mon ile et c ton travail !!

    Bravo pour ce remix !!

  • why is in franch?

  • i didnt know they spoke french on ireland

  • @Bolsjevikpirayan We don't. and after the smelly French bastards cheated us out of the world we despise anything French. You embarrass our Tri-Colour just by having this video in your shitty language.

  • @Bolsjevikpirayan He's stephen delaney dont you know?

  • Expression que j'utilises exagérémment souvent: "Fou d'irlandais"

  • Si il veut trouver son égal comment faire autrement pour un Irlandais que de s'adresser à Dieu ?

  • omg! they sound like sissies! the charm of scottish & irish accents is gone. who watches "braveheart" in french?

  • @McGigi666 Huuuhhhhhh French people, maybe? You anglophones, have a tendancy to forget that the rest of the world speak other languages... You are so self satisfied...

  • and the title of the video is in French, what did you expect?

  • @Maryfair33 - well, maryfair, u r wrong. i, myself, have 3 "maternal" languages: english, gaelic and romanian. i enjoyed the three musketeers - the michael york one - but the french movie - with jean paul belmondo - was more charming.

  • @McGigi666 Very well, so you sound intelligent enougn to understand that most of the French people watch movies in french version, even the american or English ones... SO who watches Braveheart in french? French people, that's right!

It's not a matter of which version is better, because of course, the original soundtrack is always the best. And yes, I prefer braveheart in English as well.

  • @Maryfair33 - you don't say. that's why, perhaps, those french dudes are so self suficient and never learn a foreign language? not even from tv/cinema? it's very much which version is better - and it's very much about the local charm of scotland. even gibson learnt to speak with a genuine accent. why? so that french hear it in the language of la vache qui rit?

  • @McGigi666 ... Big sigh ... Well, you know, the fact that we don't ALL speak English doesn't mean we don't learn foreign languages. We are bad at English, but very good at Italian, German, Spanish. I am French and living in London, and I haven't met a single British dude able to speak other than English.

  • London is the biggest melting pot I have seen so far, yet, English people listen to English/American Music, watch E/A movies, read E/A books... Why? because there is no reason THEY should be curious, is there? Everyone in Europe (except the French), and in the world, speak fluent English. I am not saying we are right to be that stubborn, I am saying Anglophones are wrong to forget there is a whole world out there...

  • @Maryfair33 - a whole world that speaks english...

  • @Maryfair33 - eh bien, maintenant vous m'avez rencontré :p

  • @Maryfair33 They also have a tendency to forget that the language that is the most spoken in the world is Mandarin Chinese ... [followed by Spanish.] =)

    *french coalition*

  • @DrawY37 ;D

  • @DrawY37 And also to forget that French was the language of kings and queens in every kingdom of Europe for a long time, centuries ago.

  • @McGigi666

I've watched "Braveheart" in French. And it doesn't sound sissy at all.* :-P

But I would have liked to watch it in original version.

*By the way, why did you say french language sounds like sissy ?

  • C'est mon ile !!!
