You know? One of the biggest flaws of this scene was that Jacob ALLOWED himself to be killed. Don't we then see him kicking Richard's ass when Richard tries to do the same thing 200 years in the past? I find that really inconsistent and difficult to understand.
@DayAfterRagnarokFan i think he needed Richard back then to get him the job to guide the others. Now he didn't need anything and didn't want to interfere.
