Ehrhoff's blue line goal (though a predictably awesome slapshot) was definitely offside. When I saw it I kept replaying it but I figured if the linesman didn't see it then I must be mistaken. If you pause it at the right time though you can clearly see it crosses the line completely.
Also, the Hawks first goal seemed pretty legit to me but there you go.

This was like a playoff game tonight, and despite the bad reffing [which really wasn't any good for either team] the Canucks played hard towards the end of the game and the Sedins got it done. No, it shouldn't of been a goal. The replay was quite obvious, it doesn't matter how minor contact was, you CANNOT touch a hair on the goalies head while in the crease, which he did, so it's no goal. As for Erhoffs goal yeah it was, but they're bad calls all the time. Deal with it.

My personal highlight of this game? Honestly? 4:09, the look on Henrik's face. It's rare we see a celebration like that from the captain. Good man Hank!

Love how the fans were standing and cheering in the last few seconds of the game, great penalty killing in the last 2.5 mins of the game with no thanks to bieksa!!! Lu was stellar!!

Ehrhoff's blue line goal (though a predictably awesome slapshot) was definitely offside. When I saw it I kept replaying it but I figured if the linesman didn't see it then I must be mistaken. If you pause it at the right time though you can clearly see it crosses the line completely.
Also, the Hawks first goal seemed pretty legit to me but there you go.
Don't flame me, I'm a Canucks fan, and extremely glad we won... just some observations.

Awesome, awesome game. So much fun to watch, I was screaming my ass of and fell off of my couch in the last 15 seconds of the game. This was like a playoff game tonight, and despite the bad reffing [which really wasn't any good for either team] the Canucks played hard towards the end of the game and the Sedins got it done. Go Canucks Go!

@dsrevo79 lucky is different from illegal. hawks had their first goal denied when it should've been a goal and ehrhoffs goal is offside we all know that. there's nothing wrong with lucky goals, but goals against the rules are an issue. at the end of the day i'm a nucks fan by heart, but it discomforts me to know that the hawks technically won a straight up game.

@7SuperCRonaldo17 Exactly. They even had two 2-man advantages: 5-on-3 in the second period and a 6-on-4 during the last couple minuted of the third. We shut their powerplay unit down like a boss!

@7SuperCRonaldo17 they still outplayed us in the first 2 periods, i'm not nit picking where mistakes were made and where either team could do better, i'm just saying based on the way that they did in fact play, chicago would've won that game if the refs did not screw up on calls that caused a 2 goal differential.

It's about the players yet the official draws all the attention off the game and towards him. It's sad really he wrecked a very good hockey game by making it controversal

No, it shouldn't of been a goal. The replay was quite obvious, it doesn't matter how minor contact was, you CANNOT touch a hair on the goalies head while in the crease, which he did, so it's no goal. As for Erhoffs goal yeah it was, but they're bad calls all the time. Deal with it.

"deal with it" is an excellent argument, it tells me you quite simply have nothing to say. why? because i never 'complained' about the fact that vancouver won, i'm just highlighting that we were outplayed for the first 2 periods and there was a lot of luck involved in the way we did end up winning. i don't want our playoff games to be like that should we face the hawks again

@tuestresfat If you're a Nucks fan (sincerely doubt you are one) you would be well informed that many teams get good/bad calls going there way AT some point in the season, why I only have to look at the Ducks vs Nucks game in October/November to see a poorly reffed game. Want me to look at all the infractions the Hawks pulled against the Nucks for the past 2 Playoff rounds?

@Jem93rocks hahaha funny how you actually made a legit reply to my troll post. hmm i'm not sure how i could go about convincing you that i am a nucks fan. i don't blame you for not believing me (given my recent posts). anyway yea refs were bad the last 2 playoffs against hawks, but we did deserve to lose in both those series. the reffing was not large enough a factor that we should've won where we in fact lost the last 2 years. this year will definitely be different though.
