  • silly blacks

  • i can!!!

  • Too bad none of us can imitate his swing no matter how many times we watch this lol.

  • they say Tiger's shaft is as "stiff as it gets"... "stiffer" than the average tour player's shaft, and "longer"... that allows him to "hit it hard"... no doubt he really "pounds it"

  • A lot of upper body arm power on that swing

  • @Gyro911

    Nope!

  • Tiger really knows how to control that shaft

  • I thought Tiger woods was dead

  • my swing is better

  • Can any one help my pitching action. There is a video on my channel and any help would be appreciated

  • @GTTCScott Get a book called "Short Game Bible" by Dave Pelz. Or the DVD Phil Mickelson: Secrets of the Short Game. The only two things you'll ever need.

  • @silowhore

Nah, too boring. Much better to get hung up endlessly on swing theory. (Watson's older book on the short game is just as good, too.)

Truth is, when Tiger has dominated, he's done it more by being better than everybody else around the greens. He has some occasional big misses in his full-swing game. But around the greens, when he's solid, it's incredible. There are times when he's gone through an entire tournament missing between 0 and 2 putts from five feet in. Stunning.

  • stfu nick faldo

  • @shivom90

Yeah, "stfu, nick faldo." All Faldo was, was the #1 player in the entire world for a few years. What would he know? I mean, just because you can actually see Tiger lose his level here a bit and you can see the result of the short iron being left out to the right...God, I mean, Faldo actually said Tiger didn't do something perfect. I think he should be shot, actually.

  • @emncaity you have a micropenis

  • @shivom90 AMEN

  • @morphillyous

When you and shivom get through showering together, maybe between the two of you you can put enough brain cells together for a substantive response, but I doubt it.

  • @shivom90 I'd rather listen to him than that stupid fucking Johnny Miller.

  • hahah keep pressing 7 haha

  • all these video's confuse you...check out this site, if you want to learn about the swing..this below guy is the best out there

    charles mickle golf academy.

    have fun

  • DAN SHAUGER TEACHES A GREAT GOLF SWING TO I HAD LESSON FROM DAN AND HIT GOLF BALL STRAIGHT DOWN LINE NOW AND HELP WITH MY PUTTING TO DAN NO WHAT HE TALKING GOLF SWING THANK AGAIN DAN

  • Nice looking swings don't get you majors. Tiger is the most dominant golfer in history. No other player comes close to having completely blown apart as many major fields as him. Mickelson has a swing that no one would think of trying to teach a youth starting out. he does things that in no way should he be able to hit the ball as consistently as he does, yet he makes it work because of unreal hand eye coord and rhythm.

  • @bluetiege

So true. Mickelson has Snead-like tempo and timing to be able to hit it so pure with the same kind of slight but constant over-the-top move that Snead had. IMHO, he has more pure physical talent than Woods, but Woods usually has the edge simply because of his more organized, conscious, and disciplined approach and his total dedication to making himself #1. (BTW, I'm saying this even as a really harsh critic of Woods as a person, which does still matter in golf, like it or not.)

  • @emncaity Mickelson has more physical talent than woods?? mickelson has "man-boobs"

  • @morphillyous

What's your point? Were we talking about how fit the body is, or who has more freakishly innate physical talent for the game? If you weren't such a flamer, you'd realize it's actually a compliment to Woods' ability to be more focused, more disciplined, and more attuned to what he needs to do to be a reliable, mentally tough contender in majors than Mickelson is. As much as I can't stand Woods personally and what he did to his family, I'm still amazed by his work ethic.

  • @morphillyous

Just in case you missed the point: It's not that Mickelson doesn't practice at all--he does--but he's one of those guys who has so much crazy talent he tends to be a little unfocused; he also remembers too much the times where pure talent got him out of a bad spot or won a tournament for him, and doesn't seem to have the ability to look objectively at what he needs to do to be "tighter" mentally and shotwise. TW has that, and I'm saying that's what explains the difference.

  • @bluetiege

As for Tiger being "the most dominant golfer in history," it depends what you mean. He dominates a soft field, and it wouldn't matter how "deep" that field was in terms of numbers--a hundred, two hundred, a thousand, who cares? There is no Hogan or Nelson, and barely any Demarets and Mangrums and Middlecoffs, as there were for Snead; there is no Palmer, Player, Trevino, Casper (yeah, Casper), Miller, Watson, etc., and barely any Floyds or Irwins. ....

  • @emncaity you a hater

  • @morphillyous

What is that even supposed to mean? That if you have something to say about a public figure that is negative even in part, if you don't think every single thing he does is wonderful, if you're not one of those who thinks it's Mozart when he farts, you're a "hater"?

  • @emncaity no it means you have neither the ability nor the athletic prowess to even come close to hitting a ball as good or as consistent as ti woods so therefore you criticize any chance you get...you have an opinion, by all means share it...BUT dont get mad when your labeled a HATER

  • @morphillyous

You have no idea what kind of ability or athletic prowess I have, and--like every other adolescent-style flaming POS out here who slobbers over everything Tiger Woods does--you just question my motivation, since you can't answer on the substance. The fact is, it has become a cultural habit to call anybody a "hater" who doesn't agree with one's own uncritical fanboyism. If you want to wallow in that until mommy comes to pick you up, feel free.

  • @morphillyous

I mean, if you weren't such a drooling troll, you'd probably be able to read the very post to which you responded and see that I'm far from a hater. Or maybe it's just that you don't realize he has had some big full-swing problems from time to time, and that there are (and always have been) people out there who hit it tee-to-green at least as well as he does. Mentally he's a man among boys when he's right, and ditto around the greens. I guess that's "hating" to you. Dimwit.

  • @emncaity oh, we resort to name calling...well we know im not a troll...and we also know by your insulting remarks that yes you are a hater that hides behind a cpu and cast your opinions. prob an alcoholic that has "Johnny Miller syndrome" (the more you talk the better you USE to be". and until you come to my neck of the woods and sport that plus-2 ghin index stfu...there's a whole lotta plus 2s in south florida buddy.

  • @morphillyous Hides behind a CPU? It's kind of hard to hide behind a computer processor. Those things are pretty tiny, after all.

  • @morphillyous

Which "insulting remarks" are those, that mark me as a "hater"?

Tell you what: You and me arrange to meet. You bring money, we play. You call me a "coward who hides behind a CPU" in person, and you see how it goes. Either take me up on it or shut your ridiculous mouth.

  • @emncaity you aint scarin nobody dawg, and yeah we can meet. im in south FL come git some. and all that name callin shit is what i will address face to fuckin face...you fuckin noodle... so BRING IT......BITCH

  • @morphillyous

Again, from behind a keyboard. Make it happen, and you'll be sorrier than you've ever been in your life.

  • @emncaity IM IN SOUTH FLORIDA AND NEVER HIDIN...LEGO

  • @morphillyous

    Oh, look, all caps.

I really couldn't care less what you think. Rant on. If I had the money and the inclination, I'd meet you halfway, and unless you're around plus-3 or better, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. On the other hand, if your "reputation" somehow inheres in the fact that you're from South Florida, which I guess is supposed to mean something, that sounds about as pathetic as you are.

Now: Let's see if you can let that be the last word. I doubt it.

  • @emncaity no...I live in S. FL....I'm from N. Philly, that means i'm well versed in other sports as well... and i've been called alot of things...most of which comes from youtube goons that make noise bangin on the keyboard, never a word in person...relax in ya home up in the burbs. have your drink, smack ur wife, beat the kidz, and kick the dog.but dont bring your disfunctional alcoholic ass my way. sause you cant whip nobody with the "yips".

  • @morphillyous

Being from N. Philly makes you "well versed in other sports"?

I don't live in the burbs, Homer. And you're the one who's talking sh$% through the keyboard. Just another tiresome smack-talker at a distance.

  • @emncaity another use to be good golfer turned drunk... go smack the wife, beat the kidz, and kick the dog....johnny miller

  • @bluetiege

....It's not Woods' fault; he can beat only who's in front of him. But you take the top 5 guys he has to face and put them against Snead's or Nicklaus's top 5, and they'd get murdered--not for lack of talent, but for lack of hardness. Tiger's the only guy to consistently have what 15 or 20 players had in previous eras, in terms of competitive toughness. He's the only guy out there most weeks who plays with urgency, like he's going to have to go back and pump gas if he does poorly.

  • was he right of the green on purpose? I feel like passing his hips late made him have his club face open causing him to go right. ???

  • he could hv been the 'perfect athelete'

  • @udayaai

? Based on what? Is this a Bill Brasky story or something?

  • @emncaity If you look at his biography/achievements, hes pretty much one of the best athletes there is. no player in the world have dominate a sport as much as tiger (from childhood till his a pro), if there is you could name me one. Hes the highest earning athelete, most recognizable, people pay him to watch him play in millions.

  • Solid and sound swing. Check our golf video out.

  • so much speed through the ball, almost effortless.

  • @Klistern2

Notice how his shoulders and lower body don't drag the arms through impact (which slows down the arms and club) but simply move to support the accelerating arm swing and hand release. Just before impact, his shoulders are still closed to his intended starting line of flight, and his right forearm is more below and behind the left than at address, even.

  • @Klistern2

This is almost universal among great strikers, and critical for speed--the arms unwind the shoulders, essentially. Watch how fast the gap appears between his hands and right shoulder in the first half of the downswing.

  • tiger you're my hero, no matter what you will still be the best golfer i will ever see play the game. you are the most dominant golfer of all time, and are so fun to watch. i love you tiger

  • @twalter8895 Why do you feel the need to profess that?

  • love the strike, but i think his wife struck him better :).

  • @EricSmukavich121 laugh out loud

  • Tiger is the greatest golfer period.........

  • @kingzoet1 You sure, he still doesn't have as many majors as Jack Nicklaus.

  • @Veilside1000HP

Aw, c'mon, let's give him the title of "greatest ever" anyway, on spec. He doesn't _really_ have to win more tournaments than Snead or more majors than Nicklaus, does he?

It's all so adolescent--any rationalizing to get to the conclusion that because we're seeing TW in our time, but we didn't see Hogan, Nelson, Snead, Nicklaus, etc., then of course Woods must be better. I'm still waiting for somebody to say which of his main competitors is anywhere on a level with those guys.

  • GREAT VIDEO IF YOU LIKE THIS WATCH smasHITGOLF VIDEOS NOW!!!

  • Tiger by any means dus not hav d best swing in the world if u people want 2 c d best check out Ernie Els or Rory Mcilroy dey hav their golf swing down to perfection

  • @Rugbyman2468 wat?

  • @Rugbyman2468 o really then when the last time Ernie has won ...exactly

    and Mcilroy really NEVER~!

  • @Rugbyman2468 may b u shud tlk like a normal person plz

  • @Rugbyman2468 as much as i love both ernie and rory's swing.....to say the number one player in the world and best player to ever play doesn't have the best swing is ignorance....

  • @ls1eater Ernie in my opinion has the more fluid/smoother swing. It's just much more effortless than Tiger's. But talent really doesn't have much to do with how good the swing is...look at Jim Furyk...Nicklaus...Palmer...heck even John Daly has won two Major tournament. Tiger does have a great swing, but not the best looking. I remember hearing touring pros asked who they thought had the best swing a few years ago...Steve Elkington was number one with his peers...even Tiger voted for Elk.

  • @utvolsfan1985 agree....however hell I could have the sweetest nicest most awesome looking swing ever but not be the number one player, it doesn't matter how nice it looks.....

  • @utvolsfan1985 Elk's swing is awkward...but he does "own" it. I have never seen him out of balance tho.

  • Golf is 90% mental. Once his personal life is back in order he will get back to winning and most importantly break Jacks record. Adversity is good so I cant wait to see him winning again, golf is boring without him in the hunt. Golf needs you Eldridge. Check out my swing, i've cleaned it up since then but this ones okay. Watch out world, here we come.

  • For all you theorists who insist on the "open body position at impact," take a look at where he is in the latter stages of the downswing, right up to and including impact; shoulders are back as the arms win the race, a sure sign that his shoulders are responding to the arms, not forcing the arms to move. This ability to get power out of the ground (with torque) and to transfer it to the swinging arms and club without dominating with the shoulders is as close as there is to a "secret."

  • @emncaity

You can see exactly the same thing in DTL slo-mos of other Tiger swings, with Hogan, etc. Some players are _slightly_ open at impact, some slightly closed or square, but all great ballstrikers have shoulders back (or "back to the target," if you prefer) until very late in the downswing, usually a hundredth of a second or two before impact, if that. You can also see it in how the hands (in a DTL view) move much farther than the shoulders from one point to another in the downswing.

  • @emncaity

Just saying...if you dominate the swing with your shoulders, you'll never know what it's like to feel real speed and have that "live ball" feeling off the clubface. Shoulder-dominant swingers tend to get minimum output out of maximum effort and only get worse under pressure. Misunderstanding of top teachers' "big-muscle" theories is responsible for much of this.

  • @emncaity dude its just easier to shape a ball flight and trajectory with shoulders...it may be harder to hit it further but im doing fine w this method(im pretty small and can crank it up to 309-320)

  • @emncaity I no wat ur sayin but often if u over swing wit ur hips the ball can tend 2 fade or draw eratically wich means u lose distance, accuracy nd consistancey wit u woods nd drivers especially

  • Woods has won 14 professional major golf championships, the second highest of any male player (Jack Nicklaus leads with 18), and 71 PGA Tour events

  • Ahh..got it.

  • Tiger Woods is a scum bag!!!

  • @mazak6811 go on the Tiger Woods' hate forums if you want to rip him... His swing is a thing of beauty and golf hacks like myself need him to shoot under 100! Stupid skunt!

  • @mazak6811

He is indeed a scumbag, personally. Also happens to be the best tournament golfer in the world, who understands exactly what's important and what sets him apart as a player from the other guys (mainly, it's the best short game in the world, and absolutely ridiculous short putting), and who is a man among boys in terms of mental toughness. Not the best ever, yet--and AFAIC, no matter what he does it'll be impossible to say he is--but he's certainly in the top five to seven ever...

  • @mazak6811

...Just saying, I agree completely re personal scumminess and smarminess (just think of all the times he, the media, the Tour, and his sponsors sold us on the "perfect family man" crap), but there's also that other "best in the world right now" thing, and one doesn't cancel the other out. They're both true at the same time. I just get disgusted when announcers try to pose one as making up for the other--like how "concerned" they are that crowds will "treat him right." Bleah.

  • I agree his hip didn't look turned very much at all

  • the divot reach 6 feet!!

  • i think the club face was slightly open he didnt turn his hips as much

  • Because that was a attempted fade

  • @svsujeet a draw actually....as noted by the commentator

  • Faldo just has to interrupt, dumb mothafukca

  • sexy swing love it

  • go tiger

  • rate my swing!!!

  • he swings too fast, if he has any problem that's all. well other then the obvious personal issues.

  • he has a fast swing but his tempo is good, thats what really matters!

  • Suppose your right, its all about tempo when it comes to speed if his muscle memory/ confidence is down i guess i see no reason why he can't swing fast (especially in the back-swing) as he does..

  • you might be right ;), nice observation golfswagga23 I might actually have to agree with you on that one. I will tell you though I'm rooting for tiger still cuz i think his swing is god status and that's what I have been learning to imitate in golf ;D Hope he pulls through all them numerous HO'S! ;)

  • Where's the swingvision of Tiger crashing his SUV??

  • @cgasucks nice comment man! funny as! :):)

  • nice vid. was looking for something at this angle

  • He swings better and approved by professional white golfer.

His swings does better than yours. Yes, I watched your video.

Hating this 'black sissy' is not an option to make people agree with you.

    Have a nice live.

  • @iEarphone ur a fuck tard

  • eduarfull, Im just going to assume this comment is the result of some deep-seeded psychological problem.

  • anyone know what kind of camera(brand/model) would allow me to view my swing in this kind of slow motion with possibly a better resolution? thanks!

  • Yo I am ready to school Tiger. My putting is superior to his and I crush my drives everyday, Yeaaaaah Boyeeeeeeeee. I am going school Tiger like Arnold Plumber did back in the day. Whats up everyone!?!?!?!?!?!

  • @TheSeer101 Arnold Plumber!! made me laugh quite a lot! good work!

  • IF I eat that much dirt with my irons it usually does go far and I get pissed. This guy hits it right on the mark

  • @Gyro911 because the dirt he gets comes after he hits the ball, so it is of no consequence regarding his distance. sounds like you, on the other hand are hitting behind the ball.

  • i use them golf alignment sticks for alignment and swing plane got them from alignmentsticks org

  • i use them and i got them from home depot for $1.50 each and you probably paid over $20 with shipping dumbass!

  • wats the need for calling me dumbass actually because im from uk you cant get them from anywhere they dont sell them in depots or anything so actually they cost me about $10

  • then lay a fucking club down on the ground does the same damn thing man those alignment sticks are just a stupid fad and some dumb yankee is making some cash off them selling them on a site

  • Comment removed

  • he very steep.

  • That was a stinger!:O

  • that was a draw xD

  • it's named draw!

  • sliced it

  • if his swing was a girl, she would have been the sexiest bitch in the universe!!!!!

  • @slamgame71 yeah man, that swing is a thing of beauty.

  • @slamgame71 Well he did have the sexiest girl for a while LOL, so that comment of yours = more win.

  • @slamgame71 if his swing was a girl, he would have done her

  • @tha1son24 was this suppose to come out funny....?

  • Perfection

  • does he swing hard?

  • yes and no...he doesnt swing at 100%, he claims hes never taken a full 100% swing on tour....he does in fact take a pretty hard swing, compared to the average person, but the reason he hits everything so far is that he keeps his wrists cocked all the way through the swing and he turns his hips way out of the way, if you watch it in slow mo his belt buckle is facing the target...

  • "wrists stay cocked all the way through the swing"? nahhh...

  • theres a difference between cocked and hinged.....cocked is this hold ur hand out in front of u and ur thumb should be pointin up keep ur wrist flat and go up and down and that is wrist cock...u can see he still has it watch in the follow through as the club just appears on the left side of his body watch his wrists and think about what i described up there^^

  • ty for insightful analysis

  • good job going what i show ya

  • glovy-golf . com

    Sèche-gant/glove dryer révolution 2009.

  • Faldo sounds drunk!!

  • What's the name of the song when they're doing the swing vision?

  • blow my whistle **** by DJ Alligator

  • tryn to get some views!!

    look at my swing= Ogilvy

  • love the weight transfer....look how quiet the feet are

  • If you could copy this swing you would have a very good golf swing!!!

  • Uhm... Yeah, definitely. But you can't just "copy" a swing... If I could, I wouldn't hesitate to do so.

  • You _can_ copy principles, though...

  • Not a lot of people are able to use this swing. Notice the club's angle when his arms are pointing to the ball. Almost 90 degrees. This requires a lot of strengt and also a lot of technique.

  • Take a look here, with the youtube prefix--watch?v=9LDLIBv9RtQ--and look at Geoff Ogilvy at about 1:15. Or any number of other pros.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "not a lot of people." If you mean not a lot of average players, sure. But most professionals get to about the same spot Tiger's at; it's common for the hands to be about even with, or even slightly past, the ball before the clubhead releases. Conservation of angular momentum and all that.

  • Tiger Woods has the most optimal swing. And yes, the club head shouldn't release before the hands have passed the ball, but in Tiger Woods case, they almost haven't released at all.

  • Pretty optimal, all right.

Re TW's hands, it's depends on what kind of shot he's trying to hit, but you're right for at least some of his shots, and partially right for most or all of them. A lot of people equate "release" with "hand release," which is a real mistake. The hands (or wrists) do have a role, but so do the arms in swinging down and past the body rather than dragging behind, and also the forearms in rotating to keep the club on plane. TW is just beautiful with those moves.

  • The swing that scores the lowest is the best.. Its kinda the game..

  • Du holder hovedet flot tiger <3

  • this swing is the shit!

  • god his left side is perfect at the top of his back swing..left shoulder DOWN left knee DOWN steep shoulder nice complete backswing = sizzle!!! :D

  • Comment removed

  • it doesnt suck haha...hogan is pretty flawless..i like tigers position at the top alot more though

  • haha u guys are all ridiculous. stop acting like u know what your talking about its a great swing best on tour whos better?? A scott? AK is close but how can u argue w/ 14 majors? he will rape jacks record and fuck elin while he's at it best athlete on the planet
  • We'll see about Jack's record. It's very possible, obviously. But who's he got to beat to do it? Who's he got to beat who's the quality of people like Snead and Nelson, or Watson and Trevino? I mean, it's not his fault. I'm just saying. Still, no denigration intended--he's unbelievable. And I'm with Cashus--TW's swing may not be perfect, but it's working pretty damn well. There are a couple of flaws, sure, but it's just about perfect in the critical aspects.

  • I mean, look at him in the slo-mo at the top. How do you hit it bad from there? Reminds me of how solid Jack looked at his best--just so set at the top, so poised, with the clubface so on plane with the back of the left hand and forearm...you have to work hard to screw it up from there.

  • Adam Scott comes no where close to tiger. Yeah he imitates Tiger more than anyone on tour but still comes no where close.

  • it's not like Scott imitates tiger, he's had that same swing ever since he was a junior, it just happens to be the same sort of swing as Tigers, all Scott needs to do is work on his putting and keeping his back still on his backswing and he would be top 3 player in the world easily

  • Scott's said he imitates tigers swing so many times ... where have you been. Both great players .... Scott's got some catching up to do .... in a few lifetimes maybe. LOL

  • Wow people are dumb asses. Tiger's swing isn't perfect! No shit. Show me something that is? Hogans swing wasn't perfect, or Jacks, or anybody else's. Tiger swings the way that best suits him. Ernie swings the way it best suits him. THERE IS NO ONE PERFECT SWING PEOPLE. Gosh.... I see dumb people.

  • Just wanted to say that he has one of the most "by the book" golf swings ever... so hes swing is above and beyond average!

  • Tigers swing is average for tour. He damaged his knee it was that bad. Just look at his driving. He's pushed it for 5 years

  • Your saying.... since tigers swing isn't better than average, THATS why he damaged his knee? do some research on how his knee got that way.

  • His knee did get damaged because of the way he swings. In downswing he has snapped his left leg going thru since he was a kid. Now it doesn't straighten as much fool.

    <
