@MrMonkeyman888888 Because spongers are taking the easy route. Anyone can learn to bodyboard in 5 min. Do it for a couple of years and you have pretty much mastered it. You can surf your whole life and still not come close to mastering the sport. Basically if you ride a sponge you are a cop out. Unless you are only sponging on some mega shallow closeout reefbreak... you need to man up and learn to surf.
