  • I love this lady, magic her voice, fluent and harmonious finger picking, inspired soul playing and singing, absolutely lovely this song of J. Mitchel, thank's for sharing your art sister, keep on doing, I really love and appreciate, bye :))

  • Good for you! Nice job.

  • I wish I could give you more than one measly little like... how about a 'wow'?

    Nice job!

  • This is such a gorgeous Joni Mitchell song, and you're doing great...not sure about the key changes you are using in parts...lovely voice, keep it up...you sound like a young joni

  • Wow.

  • You have a nice voice, nice enough to entertain the listener. Technically, when you sing sitting down with your tummy cramped down you give yourself to singing a bit flat at times. Try standing up; work on your breath control, take deep breaths, and push from your stomach. It's a stronger way to sing and will give you better control in front of others.

Something that has helped me has been to do breathing exercises; take a deep breath, hold it for 20 seconds; then, let it out slowly.

  • I love it! Greetz from Holland!

  • you actually sound so much like her: amazing! frig yeah man, awesome job! :)

  • I was thinking of this song all day and just found you. Love the open tuning picking and your voice is very soulful. Thanks!!!

  • Lisa...I've seen Joni perform this live many times...and I can tell you, you did an excellent job! Not one of her 'easier' songs....very good finger work...the timing is crucial with the chord changes...very nice...^/^

  • great job on this. By the way, its WIDOWS WEEDS and CLIMBING BANYANS. if im not mistaken. You have a great indie voice. good luck with your career.

  • well done.

  • lovely.

  • Very nice :) Your voice sounds very well with the chords.

Where did you get the tabs ? I look foward to learn it but I can't find something satisfying on the web.

    Carry on :)

  • I was just there yesterday! I biked Laurel Canyon and imagined what it must have been like living there in the 60s. All the dwellings are built into or right against the mountain. Funny thing is a saw a woman about her age walking around....Could have been her? Little cafes and market....kind of fun to imagine Joni, James Taylor, David Crosby, Carly Simon....all of them shopping those markets and sitting in those cafes. Thanks for this. Beautiful as always.

  • I really like this and I disagree with some of the comments about your singing...I think it was a brave choice for you, because there are a lot of odd, eccentric harmonies twisting and turning throughout the original recording. So what if you falter here and there? Who wouldn't? I like your rendition very much and think it honors the original. Really good job and your guitar playing is very good as well !

  • This is great. I want to learn this song--watching you play it really helps!

  • Nice!!! But it's widows' weeds not "windows". :-D

  • my dog's ears are bleeding - i liked it though x

  • Sincerely beautiful version you did here. Truly beuatiful.

  • Nice guitar work however you are not capturing Joni's passion, listen to her feel her meaning then try again and really let go.

  • Very lovely!

  • sweet 5******

  • beautiful!

  • "a second hand one" goes off the trail.

check the melody. your hitting some pot holes. good guitar work though

  • Nice version but maybe you should work a bit more on the lalala parts? Good luck at TIA.

  • Do you use Joni's tunings, or are the strings the standard tuning?

  • Lisa, Your voice is so lovely and sweet, congratulations!!!!!

  • I want to hear you play and sing more "Ladies of the Canyon" stuff!

  • Great job: you have a lovely voice.

  • You're a sweety. Thanks for these songs.

  • i love this and i absolutly love your voice

  • That bottom string should be plucked in a lot more places but you plucked it here only twice. It's an important part of the music and should be included.

Again your voice is superb although you lost the tune here and there. I say this only because you are so good and you just *almost* there and I'm trying to help a little.

  • You woke up and said to yourself "What is the most difficult Mitchell song can I attempt on You tube today?" You did iy beautifully. I am wiping away my tears as I write. Thank you.

  • This is a terrific rendition. Great voice, nice guitar. Keep working hard!

  • Very good

  • Beautifully done....so calming and soothing. Nice job! :)
