probably that was a wall cloud. because wall clouds tend to form where there is a strong updraft. they rotate really fast tending to lower near the ground and make a tornado. Some rotate fast and don't make a tornado. Some rotate real slow and make weak tornadoes or no tornado. And some dont rotate at all ( LOL sry about all this talk ). To see if this is right, was there a tornado?
