hey dude do u use pinch or natural harmonics in 4:04-4:22? or is it some other effect?

@6Shazza9 its just a natural harmonic over the third thret. just rest your finger of the third fret as you usually go to p;ay it but dont actually fret the note and then pick the sting on the bottem e and you should get that harmonic.

Er - maybe not? Bend shifts the pitch UP, rather than down, which a whammy bar does. So it would sound wrong... plus it's hard to bend as fast as you can whammy.

ok, i hope you know the part up to that bit, if not i can send you a tab. once you play the 5th fret on the g string (hehehe) you just go 5h7p5h8p5h7p5h8p5h7p5h8p5 a bunch of times, so after you play the fifth fret the first time no picking is needed. if all those numbers are annoying to look at, i'll describe it: you pick the 5th fret, then hammer-on the 7th fret with your ring finger, then pull-off back to the 5th, then hammer-on the 8th with your pinky, then pull-off to 5th, etc

yea, i weeded myself off of that. from the videos i've seen, it looks like most guitarists don't do that, so i figured maybe it was a bad habit. it feels awkward at first and makes arpeggios much harder, but playing without that stabilizing pinky makes tremolo picking and normal up-down picking much easier (after a few weeks of practice).

What most guitaris do is use there pink of there strumming hand under the highest E String to indicate while playin (except rythm)instead of there pink on the guitar.

Because that it looks more like a natural position, but every guitarist must have an indicationpoint with there hand to know on wich string he or she is. Other way is with the palm of your hand on the upper bridge.

But your pink method did it good, it WAS your style. Every guitarist is unique, remind that copy cat!
