Errol Garner was my father's all-time favourite pianist. My dad played in London in the 40s and 50s and, once introduced to Errol by a friend in 1954 was stunned at the incredible skill this man had to entertain using the piano....and he couldn't read a single note!! His 1947 EPs are the one's to get....'Fine and Dandy' and 'Sweet and Lovely' come to mind......the album from 1974 ((3 years before he died) 'Up in Errol's Room' is good. I grew up with this fantastic piano player as a boy!!
