I'd like to see T20 matches being played on these kinds of wickets. At least the poor bowlers will have a fair chance. In fact, the Indian T20 team should be forced to bat on these tracks.
wow...great scenes....Mcgrath facing the worst emotional turmoil of his life...Not sure what to do....go over and check out if the batsmen is still alive?? or go back to his mark and make sure the next ball takes care of business for good??and to top it off....the good ol classical stretcher..much better than those funny transport mobiles they have these days....great upload...thx again rob!!
@TheMaverickanupam Wow,if a ball shoots off good length (with absolutely no credit to the bowler) its a good 'sporty' wicket and if the balls turns and spits and the batsman has to dance and show technique, then it is a doctored pitch...really mature you are and bird brained too
It is very tough to play on these wickets.Balls shooting from short of gud length. there is an element of fear which makes the game all the more interesting to spectators
@robelinda2 Why do I laugh every time I read your upload description for this video? Is that Aussie humour or am I just sinister. Love McGrath's reaction ... like shooting fish in a barrel.
i'm wondering who's that Aussie who ran in quick to help him...initially I though Mark Waugh but then i saw him walking slowly with his usual swagger into the scene
Didn't Chris Cairns hit Gary Kirsten in the head in the previous ODI a day or so before this, on the same pitch? I think that's where the six stitches are from? I have vague memories of this...
is this deadly game :/

Hey rob do you have the whole game cause if so later in the innings they show the helmet and you can see where the ball bent the grill.

after this Peter Kirstin had the short earguards as reinforcement on his helmet along with the face grill

obviously nice to see the Ausies help poor Pete, he didn't expect it to bounce low. Glen was a bit of a chop for not going over initially.

Rob, did McGrath bowl a lot faster in the early stages of his career? That easily looks 140+, maybe even 145+

This is bulshit pitch. if this pitch had been in some colured country, the whity team would have walked away from the game. Bullshit pitch.
