Jesus calls himself 'son of man 82 times. Was he lying? Not once did he say "I am god" or even son of God.His companions never thought him as God.In ACTS3;13 he is called servant of god.It is people like you and i who elevate him to the standard of the creator.
In John 14:1 Jesus says that He's in the Father as the Father also is in Him making them one and thesame. It's like having your soul, spirit, and body -you're not gonna tell me that you're not just one person, are you? But then you have three parts -three compartments -that's how God is!! In Genesis, God ssays "Let Us make man in Our own image..." notice the "Us" and "Our" showing that from the beginning was God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit.
All this have been the same.. He sent Noah, Hud, Abraham.. and many more.. all His Messenger, suddenly He wants to deliver the message Himself? and was killed by the very people that he wanted to convey the message to?? SubhanAllah.. ManGod?? GodMan?? new species.. bible never say that term.. You Christian invent it.
God says, " We have sent thee Inspiration, as We sent it to Noah and the messengers after him: We sent Inspiration to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the tribes, to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We give The Psalms".
" Messengers who gave good news as well as warning, that mankind, after(the coming) of the messengers, should have no plea against God : for God is Exalted in Power, Wise."
jesus is a man sent by God to the jews to correct them of their wrongdoing, the bible confirmed this :
" Ye men of Israel, hear these words ; Jesus of Nazareth, a MAN approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which GOD did by him in the midst of you..." (Act 2:22)
far from having qualities of God , Jesus is only a messenger just like other messengers of God that came before him i.e abraham, Isaac, david, moses to bring good news as well as warning from Him
jesus is a man who has no power at all, he said, " I can mine own self do nothing...because I seek not mine own will, but the will of God." (John 5:30)
when performing miracles that power was not his but was given by God and with God's permission, he confirmed it saying, "...all power GIVEN unto me in heaven and in earth." (Matthew 28:18)
"...I with the FINGER OF GOD cast out the devils." (Luke 11:20)
" ..I cast out devils by the SPIRIT OF GOD." (Matthew 12:28)
I can't believe he said that Jesus says numerous times that he's God. He never did! Show me, I want to know. In all the scriptures, even in the Torah or the Holy Quran, he never said "I am God" or "I am a part of the Trinity" or "Worship me". Jesus of Nazareth, like all those who God has sent as a providence, were human beings who carried a message for humanity. The idea of the Trinity (3 in 1, but only one God) is mind boggling, again there is no mention of the Trinity in the Bible.
@ZakWayne The idea of a compound God is impossible to understand. It just doesn't make sense. Jesus referred to God as "Father", not "Brother", which would have been more accurate if he was co-equal with God.
@k0smon That's another good point, which, I'm sure, is overlooked by many. The notion of an equal or division of God indicates the existence of three not one Gods, which then classifies Christianity not being a unitarianism religion.
With all due respect to Mark, I don't really think he knows what he is talking about.
The fact is that Mark, as a traditionalist - who simply teaches pre-medieval traditions (by the same sort of people who brought you transubstantiation..).
The fully God and fully man is a simply a cover for the fact that Mark and other Evangelicals reject the genuine man Christ Jesus (you will note there is only one person.... guess who is missing).

jesus is a man who pray to One God
in his pray he said, "And this life eternal, that they might know YOU THE ONLY TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ , whom you have sent." (John 17:3)
he is not praying to himself which he never did throughout all his life no such thing as God prays to God
jesus and God cannot be co-equal because jesus himself says, "...my Father is greater than I." (John 14:28)

You seem like a smart man, why do you continue to believe in fairy tales?
