Thank god, nobody was hurt. Great job to the driver who finally stopped and then complied with the officers without causing further trouble. Great jobs to the officers for handling the chase before it got out of control. This is a huge relief that nothing bad happened.
No LAPD in the video. It was mostly CHP, possibly some IPD and LASD. Inglewood has it's own PD and Compton is patrolled by LASD, so there would not have been a reason for LAPD to get involved. CHP is involved because the pursuit went onto the freeway at one point.

That is why speeding is dangerous and seriously, the police are cracking down on lawbreaking speeders. This means YOU! This video will rightfully serve as a wake up call for lawbreaking car thieves intent on committing federal violations.

If there is imminent danger the guy gets shot, with a gun. A taser is not for imminent danger. Having been tased I can say with utmost certainty that it hurts like crap, and I will never let it happen again. That being said, running WILL get you tased... or shot.

@smokeshaq its better then only having the option of a gun as the last resort. taser are helping the cop control people who resist arrest. they used to just have the gun and that is worst then a taser. they give the person warnings way before the shoot with the tazer, so the person has time to stop resisting.

Yeah, that way all the bad guys have to do is speed up and they police HAVE to let them get away. That's a great idea. Helicopters aren't there at a moments notice. It takes time for them to get there.

If anyone is harmed on the ground by this driver without police nearby, what are the people in the helicopter going to do? Jump out with parachutes and save the day? No. So although I might agree the police following need to back off a bit, stopping the pursuit entirely is not the right answer.
@smokeshaq they know the police is following in the helicopter to they are not going to stop and when police get close they will flee again. they could of back off more but they have to protect everyone not just the good guys, and stopping him is going to stop him from gurting himself and anybody else.
