Most intelligent people already realize that if you want impartialism you have to study both sides of the story by many many authors and you can then form your own opinion. There are so many factors to accurately account History that TBH a show would need hours upon end to be able to actually build up what was going on in the 1st place.. but the thing you don't seem to realize is the PILOT is what wins in a dog fight.. An expert pilot far outweighs any advantage that a plane would have.. Note that the history channel is also interviewing the LIVING pilots and their accounts and the show is by the US.. And these pilots that are LIVING obviously are still here today because they were the victorious one's.. Sorry that a show made in the US doesn't go out and interview foreign pilots.. I did not say they have to interview foreign pilots. My comment was in reference to the data they displayed about both planes between 3:01 & 3:08. They noted that the P-51 has better high altitude performance which is absolutely true, but they conveniently did not mention that the George is more maneuverable and completely out performs p-51 at lower altitude. Excuse me for thinking the History Channel (who I am sure prides itself on its vast historical resources) should convey war without bias

They did not have to interview anyone to get that information either. These are well documented facts available through engineering documents. If we need to interview everyone to get an accurate historical picture then we would not no anything that predates our era by more than one generation. The reason they did not include the information is not a matter of interviewing. Its a matter of the producers of this show being biased in their history.

If you ask any WWII fighter pilot what their favorite plane was and they will tell you the one they were flying. There were many respectable planes in WWII. They all had their strengths and their weaknesses. Pilots almost always made the difference. A good pilot in any plane can be the start and the end of a bad day for the enemy.

Drop the A bombs, or invade Japan. It was estimated that an invasion would cost 1 to 2 million American lives and upward of 15 million Japanese men, women and children's lives. And possibly the extinction of the Japanese race. The A bombs cost 800,000 lives. So tell me again why we were full of s**t.

Hiroshima was a large military manufacturing city, and had been bombed before. Nagasaki was a secondary target after the main target was covered in clouds, and was also a military arsenal.

its ok.. and if I say that manouver its impossible is because the diving plane has a lot of energy (in terms of speed)... while the p51 was climbing (so had a reduced energy) and besides does a tight turn (a tight turn decreases the speed of any aircraft) ... so thats why I think the way they shown that is stupid.... and Impossible

Just a couple of instances You could look up that show japanese warcrimes durring world war II, Unit 731, treatment of POWs, their biological warfare programs, like lidkecik said the rape of Nanking these. the treatment as such is much worse, the death toll durring the nanking massicar are estimated to be 200,000 to 300,000 casualties, Unit 731 killed over 10,000. Unit 731 was focused on finding biological weapon research, this includes infection, maming, ect and it ended with vivisection.

Unfortunately that the way modern warfare is it sucks. There is one instance that sticks out in my mind. a soldier in who fought in ww2 had a civilian walk up to him. the civilian reached inside his jacket to grab something and the soldier though he was going for a gun. to protect himself he shot and killed the civilian. in reality the civilian was going for a picture of his family. Should it have happened, no, should he be punished no. the reason I say that is because it haunts him every night.

The Germans wiped out Six million Jews and five million others in the holocaust. Its a horrible atrocity that should never be repeated. However when a soldier surrendered to a jerry they lived for the most part. when you surrendered to a Jap you were no more then a dog to them. Look up Jap war crimes, they were terrible. jairogut, I shall try to explain this to you once again, but I am not sure you will understand. People don't really care how they are killed, only that they are. The A bombs killed 800,000 civilians and military.  An invasion(which was the only other option) would have killed approximately 15,000,000 civilians and soldiers. Yes, my bullets and bayonets. But would it really matter to them how they died? The A bombs saved millions of lives and the Japanese as a race. Can you understand that?
