  • @envythislibra Real talk lol

  • SMOOTH....

  • The only video that goes crosstown.

  • After watching this video I realize i've had my time! I'm not gone hate on these young guys anymore! This song takes me back to a period where things were very easy and good and the house party and back yard BBQ were still things people did without nonsence and there was always some fortysomething guy hating. I wont be him i'll just settle for the fact we had good music in the 90's.

  • I was 12 yrs old when this came out.I was to damn young to be listening to this. I'm 30 and this is still my sh*t!!!!

  • @48inchAzz dont feel bad, im 26 and still be thinkin bout old songs like this. This is when music use to be the shit and about shit!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @MuzikONworldOFF it does, but I do like that original!

  • @Mustbu23 The Blackbyrds

    Mysterious Vibes

    Action

    Fantasy 1977

  • @Mustbu23 It's a song by the SOS Band

  • i wanted that style beamer so bad back in the day. so one the other day

  • anyone ever noticed that his style and wardrobe resembles cain from menace 2 society?

  • I've never eaten sweet potato pie but if it's as good as this song I'll have to check it out.

  • I don't blame anybody who doesn't like rap now. I only still hold on to hip hop because i used to listen to it when it sounded like this. Thats why i still hope and pray that one day...i can listen to something made the same year i'm in and like it...but untill then, i'll keep reminiscing on youtube......

  • @mazin13 You might want to check out some Lupe Fiasco. His album Laser is the truth and it is fairly recent..

  • Mack life.......!

  • why the f does he have his sweater tucked into his jeans?

  • @TrollKilla1000

    strait 90's nigga! aha

  • @TrollKilla1000 its not tucked, its called blazayed! meaning its rolled up under so u cant see the edge fabric!

  • OHSHT!! I remember my cousins and I singing this on a family trip to Yosemite when I was younger. Mom freaked out and yells across the campsite, 'STOP SINGING ABOUT SWEET POTATO PIE! SOUNDING ALL GHETTO!'

  • Domino reminds me of The Dream, but with less talent. Still, this rawks!

  • you could dance to all the rap songs in the90s

  • Golden era of rap to me was 1988-1997. In 1994 it hit its peak in terms of all the different groups wanting to make good music. From the west you had Death Row, the east Bad Boy, from the south Gheto Boys and OutKast. I also love the rappers who didnt play it safe like Wu Tang Clan, Ice Cube, Nas, and Public Enemy. There was so much talent back then cause everybody was trying to be different. Know everybody trying to be the same! Back then if you had a tape it was like a collecters item! lol

  • @b7r7u7c7e well not with the new class big sean is his own,j cole is his own, tyler the creator is his own

  • @thepolodon21 Yea I feel ya but they dont got the labels backing them like in the past. You got ta REALLY look for good music...most important a rap record. What happen ta all the organic hard beats with the spin, breaks, and beat box on the record? The old rap record was like listing to a movie. Ice Cube American Most wanted is a good example. Know you got a bunch of "Singles" on albums with R&B beats and rappers singing.

  • @b7r7u7c7e i wish i was old enough to enjoy the 90's music while it was fresh, 95 i was born and i wish i was born in 85.

  • New rapper drop ''mixed tapes" every fuckin week and dont work about making good music

  • Shit was on the radio too constantly in Texas.

  • Who use to wait and wait and wait until this video came on yo mtv raps, video soul, or rap city and even the box back in 94.

  • i wish rap was still like this

  • @soldierttown I agree 100%

  • fuck lil gay wanye fuck drake tha cake fuck cop ross fuck nikki tha wack weirdo fuck tha new southern bubblegum shit peace tx fuck radio and FUCK B.E.T 106 Park

  • where is Domino! This was that song back in the day!

  • air matta say all meesd up and i no y off chronic and sum girl named tara and all always be fly.

  • We were way tighter than them....

  • i noticed... All most all the women are taller then him lol.. guy short. #RIP 90's

  • used to play this on my "sony walkman"

  • this is my shit

  • MAN PLZ BRING THESE DAYS BACK!!!!

  • Yo MTV raps was the ish

  • This was a time when they were not pushing being a "thug" yet.

  • the good thing about the smooth rappers, at least they kept their pants up on their behind.

  • i want a better quality version of this

  • love this joint so oldskool and its great.

  • Lol I was singing this today because my dad made sweet potato pie.

  • sounds like some crab shit tho

You know what else I thought about? You know who reminds me of him today? Max B. They both have an R&B vibe with their styles. If only Max could have not fucked up and stayed out of jail, he would be a strong force right now.

  • I used to think that this track was vastly inferior to Ghetto Jam, but I'm changing my mind. May be a classic which I missed out on.

  • listen to this and then 'Jiggable Pie' by AMG. Very similar smooth cuts, and if both don't have you noddin' your head - you must be dead!

  • Shawn Ivy (aka) the self-proclaimed Domino is a rapper, producer & singer that gave us entries such as Ghetto Jam, Long Beach Thang and this, Sweet Potato Pie with a cute, head bobbing turn on SOS Band's Take Your Time (Do It Right). Domino took a choice beating by naysayers and critics (for the most part) as people chose to believe he stole Snoop's future sound. His first project (Domino) was critically acclaimed but, as the war on persona waged, future projects failed until he later retired.

  • @xxkennypainxx , your right rap skills were a talent back then and it was know to have 3 solid versus and a great chorus. This was the era of tupac and and the early snoop as you mentioned. We never could expected back then for rap to crumble to what it is today. I used to video tape music videos back then, miss them days!!!Thats cool Dominos gfunk sparked interests way over in germany. I lived on the east coast and he was a west coast MC, but I loved his swagger back then.
