You will obey me while I lead you And eat the garbage that I feed you Until the day that we don't need you Don't go for help . . . no one will heed you .
Your mind is totally controlledIt has been stuffed into my mold And you will do as you are told Until the rights to you are sold That's right, folks . . .
Don Pardo is so good in this song, and of course, the band rocks. One thing...is it just my slow-ass computer, or is the video on this really herky-jerky? The audio sounds pretty good, but the video is like a slide show.
@Xtremist777 Just did a search and you're right, in 1978 it happened...
Frank Zappa
Unpopular with the cast and crew for his humor, Zappa also read cue cards and continued to mug for the camera throughout the show. Most cast members, sans John Belushi, stood far from him during the final goodnights of the show.
This keeps disappearing from YouTube, no doubt because of NBC and the Zappa family trust. I actually remember seeing this on SNL when it was broadcast. It blew my mind.
@TJLethal21 Yes. Zappa used some of the Sat night live band (and Don Pardo) when he played in NY and the blues brothers used some of the members as well. In one of the "You can't do that on stage" CD's, you can hear Lou playing flute on The torture never stops.
@dai2008002iad We knew Don Pardo from the health club, where he would walk around singing to himself all the time. If you got it, flaunt it I guess. But whats his news these days ?
Don kicks ass. Awesome performance.
