what i dont get is why dont the cops show the knife? and show that theres his fingerprints on it? if there really was one, isnt that just a no brainer?

Jamines never had a knife in his hands. Rampart police department is infamous for cover ups. The community is furious for shooting the man. Its not right and fair. The knife never existed. There were lots of eyewitnesses including the employees of my parents restaurant. The man was under the influence and broke the law. TRUE! but it was wrong to kill him. He received several shots to the head and chest area. The official who shot Jamines had no compassion for this man.

The fool deserved to be shot like a dog if he was threatening to stab innocent bystanders & then lunged at cops w/a knife. For once, the LAPD did the right thing & justice was served. @flea4me23 Slave wages MY ASS! I worked in high end restaurants for 15 years. I paid my back waiter anywhere from 80 -120 a night in tips. Money he didn't have to pay taxes on because the front waiter pays ALL of the taxes. Plus he got minimum wage and health insurance on top of that. AND REALLY GOOD meals! Same with the busboys but they made slightly less in tips. 45-60 a night.

And though all the undocumented immigrants that I know are of Latina/o descent, there are definitely white, yellow, and black undocumented immigrants who work just as hard for slave wages. I would never say that white people don't want to work. But many rich white employers do not want to pay immigrants a living wage. Why do you think they hire them?

Didn't you guys know? Shooting a person of ethnic minority (regardless of the reason) is racism. Accusing police officers of murder for the fact that they weren't of the same ethnic group as the person who got shot isn't racism.

I wonder if they would protest if the guy was threatening THEIR friends and family.

These people are complete idiots. This man was walking around a park threatning people with a knife. Whe police were called over they asked him to put the knife down. He then lunged at he officer. The officer was protecting his safety and the others in the park from this idiot. Then they think to get there point across they will throw objects at the LAPD. How dumb can you be.

@rcg2007 Eyewitnesses and my parents employees saw that Jamines never had a knife. After shooting the man several times to the head and chest area they hancuffed him. Eyewitnesses got furious when this happened. We asked ourselves is there a reason why to handcuff the man after beeing shot and killed?? He was under the influence and broke the law. @rcg2007, I must agree. They did have a right to protest, but throwing objects at the police is not acceptable. Challenging officers in that manner is simply counter-productive. In the end, unfortunately, the protesters succeeded only to undermine their own objectives.
