  • If Blu-Ray can't make Sin City a color film there's no point of buying it. My last Brittany Murphy movie will make her grave stay on dark side!

  • sound anyone??

  • whats a music ?

  • Tick tick tick BOOM!!! YEAAAAAAAAA!!!

  • Freaking Microsoft needs to add support for Blu-ray on either WMP or WMC.

  • Does someone know where I can get exactly THAT TRAILER in HD? In best case in 1080???

  • @elgato

I used to have a 19in 1080i tv but it blew up ! so i agree the picture on the 1080i is still excellent.

Since alot of PS3 games are native 720p they look really good on 1080i or P.

    My setup for refence

    PC : Core i7 860 w/BD-RE and 19in LG W1954

BD: PS3 / Standalone BD player

TV: Samsung 23in 2333HD 2x HDMI Full HD

Used to have 19in UMC 1080i

  • Interesting that this video is supposed to show what blu-ray can do, yet the video itself has one sucky quality.

  • I know the video here sucks but proper BD playback is outstanding at 1080p I know because I have PS3 , Standalone BD Player and a BD - RE on the PC

Harry potter , Coraline and Paul Blart are some of the BD's that are outstanding in quality terms but there alot of others that are really good

  • @Timsalt3100

My tv only supports 1080i and 720p, but it still gives one hell of an image if hooked to a my ps3. Motorstorm looks fenomenal along with Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and the GoW demo. As for the movies, I don't have any BD movies at the moment, but I'm planning on getting some this month like Transformers 1 and 2, District 9, and Eagle Eye.

  • blue ray can suck my dick! quality is only a little bit better but the pr a much more expensive!

  • Hey guys I just wanna know what musics are in this video

    song and artist

    THX

  • It's Tick Tick Boom by the Hives

  • i just got my first blu-ray movie for my ps3 amazing it doesn't pull it to full screen and doesn't look hd it's better my eyes don believe wad im seeing i need to get used tll now i don knowis it too good or bad but it 's positive .ps3 rocks!

  • i want a playstation 3 for the bluray capability.

  • so sad YT can't take the sound, and the quality... :( Blu-Ray is great :)

  • wtf some of u guys are stupid! blu ray isnt just great graphics but if u have a empty bluray disc, u can put 60 gigs of data on one single disc and the discs dont get sckratched!so the blu ray is needed

  • What Music is this ?

  • casino royale = best movie ever

casino royale on blu ray = the most fucking mind blowing expeirience ever!

  • Strange, i was just talking about this in another video. It's all about mark-up, give it time and the price for making the movies on Blu-ray will come down, so then it's not as pricey. Though, their are some movies which i HAVE to get for blu-ray, no matter the price. The Dark Knight was one of them. :P

  • yes most did

  • No you are correct, whether Ztepheniz thinks that HD-DVD is cheaper or not (which it was), it got destroyed by Blu-ray. You won't be seeing any new movies for HD-DVD, ever.

  • But regular DVD sales are higher than ever though and when put on an LCD they look just as good as Blu-Ray.The only good thing about Blu is that it fits more data but so what. All im watching is a movie and to tell you the truth Ps3 games dont even need Blu-Ray since its gettign the same information Xbox 360 dic are getting.

  • I agree that Blu-ray is not needed much in gaming [for the ps3]. But it helped win the format war, and the fact that it was on PS3 helped, a lot! Blu-ray does a lot of good things, and more space is always welcome - otherwise you would of stuck with the small and cheap hard drives for your computer. The only problem with Blu-ray is that it is expensive, therefore bring the price of the PS3 higher and it is slow. Production costs go down, so one problem solved in the future.

  • yeah but besides that Blu-Ray players themselves havent sold that well.OH well hopefully ill get a Ps3 and soon just have to worry about getting the disc themselves.

  • no but that's the thing - I'm not saying this is true, but most of the people who bought a ps3 probably got it for the blu-ray features instead of the actual gaming, as there is a low attach rate with the games and stuff. but then again they could be doing both with it. PS3 is a blu-ray player, so blu-ray players HAVE sold well.

  • Not really.Only 22 million have been sold when DVD players in a single year have sold doulble that. But who cares....

  • Yea meh. But just remember that DVD is cheaper and it was Sony who helped with the selling of DVD's, so hopefully they do the same with Blu-ray. But Blu-ray won't take down DVD anytime soon, especially when not EVERYONE has a HD TV. But meh who cares. We will just agree that Blu-ray is great, but not needed at the moment :P

  • Blu-Ray has 6x the better resolution the dvd. And Ps3 games are in true HD. 360 just upconverts their graphics to HD.

  • My comment was 2 weeks ago.Your fucking late dipshit.

  • Why would that matter? I just saw this video for the first time. I just wanted to show everyone on how much of a dumbass you are.

  • Like i said 2 weeks ago was the last comment posted overall so nobody cares.YOU FAILED GET OVER IT LOSER.

  • The future is blu

  • HD-DVD is cheaper...thats all i really care about because theyre both HD and the only real problem is with ps3

i also agree that cd sales in general are falling

  • I don't know about you people, but blu ray is NOT the future. I still don't see a big difference between blu ray and dvd is. At least not a big difference to be 20 dollars more! I have a HD 47 inch LG too. I think downloads are the future. not many people buy cds anymore since mp3 players ipods etc came out and the same is going to happen with movies! blu ray is a flop and its overrated.

  • There are both good and bad things about Downloads. I for that matter, hate downloads - you need space on your storage, and i don't get the nice cover. I like my movie cases stacked up on my shelf. Blu-Ray in no way is a flop, whether it's overrated or not depends on many conditions. Companies are putting them to good use.

  • I m using Samsung 46`inches Full HD 1080p with a dynamic contrast of 15000:1. It has also a X.V.Colour latest technology. Delivers more detailed colours. BUt it isnt a 100Hz but still impressive with 1080p content. Watch your 1080p LCD with HDMI output, then u ll gain most of it. Enjoy. Search for 100 Hz LCD that brings faster moving objects without stretching pixels, results in smooth motion... Enjoy all

  • I wouldnt mind seeing 300 or any action or CGI movie on blu-ray. I could be pretty cool on the right tv and system. Does any one know which is the best system and tv i should get to do that with and where?

  • Perfect system is a sony w4500 46 inch tv, it is a different name in U.S.A., a pioneer lx01 home cinema system and the Pionner lx08 blu ray player, this could cost $5,000 but it is worth it.

  • Good looking out! Thanks.

  • the new technology is ( LASER HDTV ) & (OLED ) & (LED POWERD DLP) HDTV

Don't buy LCD or PLASMA the picture and color not very good

  • Comment removed

  • hahahaha "Dick dick dick dick dick" nice

  • i got ps3 for christmas and im watching blu ray movies!!! its very nice!!! i love ps3+blu ray

  • fantanstic trailer!

    IM SOLD!

  • cool trailer.

  • anyone know the song at 1:12

  • this is why ps3 is the best console

  • umm best? i have both ps3 and 360 and my ps3 overheated 4 times and right now im on my 5th ps3 and only 1st xbox....so by "best" i hope u mean crap..

  • i agree with THeRatedRT man who the hell will want to by that fucking disc for that price

  • Who the fuck wants to buy a fucking 100 dollar disc dumbass

  • and how do u know that??? But if its true, its gonna be hell Awesome............

  • OK 1.6 terrabytes is awsome technicaly but its useless, to expensive and you will never fill that amount of storage space. The CD is almost 20 years old and it is still manufactured. Why? Because 700 mb and 80 mins are enough for a complete album. DVD is still enough for SD, HDDVD ( if it wasn't dead ) and Blu-Ray have enough space for HD. So 1.6 terrabytes are too large and expensive if you compare its price to the storage space you will use. You will never use up the 1.6 terrabytes.

  • in the mid 1990s people said the same thing about 1.6 GB. in the 1980s people said the same about 1.6 MB. notice the pattern?

also, just because 'you' don't know anybody who could use 1.6tb of storage doesn't mean nobody else in the world does (3tb and almost out of space here :P ). think of businesses with hundreds of TB of data to back up on a monthly basis.

3" floppies are still manufactured too. guess we don't need cds since by your theory 1.44mb is enough space :P

  • lol i have a 1 terrabyte hard drive on my pc with a 80gb drive and i have to say i have used up all the space trust me the more space the better

  • What's the point of posting a blu-ray trailer here? Youtube makes the picture quality look like VHS.

  • think about it bluray could have 4D graphics which is amazing to have in a game. it will rock our world hard.

  • mister2008,

you're not very intelligent are you? there is no such thing as 4d, what is the fourth dimesion, some kind of dimesion in another universe? The max is 3-d.

  • the fourth dimension is time

  • 4th dimension is time -_-" btw correct me if i am wrong but the 5th dimension is like gravity

  • think about it bluray could have 4D graphics which is amazing to have in a game. it will rock our world hard.

  • think about it bluray could have 4D graphics which is amazing to have in a game. it will rock our world hard.

  • when u2-3D comes out on blu ray im gonna be on it. ps3 & blu ray!!

  • you would use it for the future movies :P becaus they wont make them for hd dvd now that blu ray has won the format war, and how many future games does xbox have? :P :)

  • WOOO!, Blu-ray has won

  • It's funny how the HD-DVD folks complain about all the things they think the PS3 can't do meanwhile im at home doing just those things. Things like playing HD movies and HD games from the same device. Cant do that with anything else!

  • pego17 the name is Tick Tick Boom - The Hives

  • Tanks!!!!!

  • What is the title of the song in this video????

  • It's a Hives song, probably off the new album

  • pretty frickin' awesome

  • THE FUTURE IS BLU

  • HD DVD might have more PIP, but to suggest it has more features is idiotic. Last time I checked the recent Harry Potter disc the extras couldn't even fit on in 1080p, they were in standard def on the HD DVD, whereas the Blu-ray had 1080p.

More space, more studios support, more CE support, more bandwidth, more hardware, more software; the Future is Blu.

  • "SO BLU-RAY DOES NOT HAVE picture in picture, only some new movies do"

Well which is it niyooh? Either Blu-ray does have PIP or it doesn't? The answer? Yes it does, whether through a true secondary video encode or through two separate encodes of the movie, Blu-ray has had Picture in Picture since Lions Gate released The Descent.

  • Uhm...untill now only 1.0 discs have been released SO BLU-RAY DOES NOT HAVE picture in picture, only some new movies do. Face it, HD DVD has more extra features, take a movie and compare the versions on the back...it says enough.

  • Blu might not be the future =D

    I don't like blue >=| me wants red! =D

  • BLU IS THE FUTURE.

  • Stwife,

paramount will come back tu blu ray like Universal be sure of that.

  • what's is the source? that paramount pictures announced it?

  • Paramount Pictures recently announced they´re going HD DVD exclusive! hahaha, they´re gonna get smoked.

  • uhm...no they didn't, otherwise give a link or somethin' =/

  • Uhm lol they did, google it

  • No, you dumbass. Paramount has a contract to keep making HD DVD exclusives for 5 years (i think).

  • No it is an 18 month $150 million contract that ends early 2009. However Paramount has reserved the right to swithch back to Blu-ray support if they wish but they will have to pay back the $150 million in doing so.

  • Lol@5 years. These HD-DVD supporters are so desperate they're making up facts out of thin air.

  • With Warner now on Blu Ray side back by Fox, MGM, Columbia, LionsGate, Disney much more and so many companys that out number HD-DVD. Who else would win. it's a no Brainer even a little kid knows that. I would start bringing in the Fat Lady by now. just Finish HD-DVD off -Fatality-

  • hd-dvd just got owned.

  • indeed.

    =]
