I have a video recorded entirely on a Firepod. I have always been impressed with the A2d and D2A converters on those things for the money. Search "Deep Blue dJinn in the studio, Jan 2011"
I have this in my studio for years, it's one of the best interface ever, over run MOTU by 10x. The sound of this is soo incredible, especially when you have a good running computer that you can record at 88k and 96k. I'll upload video of mine studio and song that I've created with this beast. This is actually easy to run on any comp, if you update the driver in the site and know your audio in and audio out. Use this as ASIO, cuz this is a asio interface driver.
You can't adjust eq on this, you can only adjust volume, but it will record the natural sound of your external devices into your recording software, and then adjust your eq from there. Unless you use a external preamp or eq.
i dont see nothing wrong with it, unless your not setting it up correctly, or your comp may be slow or your latency and bitrate is too high for your computer to handle
what are the issues with macbook running osx 10.5.2?¿ i am looking forward on buying this, but i am a bit scared about the feedback is geeting in alot of apple forums
I NEED HELP! I have the Presonus Firestudio and I am trying to record with Cubase Studio
4. When I plug a mic in, it shows that I'm getting sound (on the front of the firestudio) but I'm getting no sound through the computer because it's not showing up on Cubase. Please HELP!!!
Could you guys PLEASE make a video how how to setup connections in Cubase SX. NOT LE.
For example to record live guitar, mic, mix thru audio track 1, 2, 3, etc so that mic can only be recorded on audio track 1, and guitar only on track 2, etc.
I have the firestudio and MSR remote, software sucks not very user friendly (in my opinion) gear is good but I dunno something feels sucky about it, I cant get a decent volume with my mic through it.
Dude I think the same thing. I have 3 days I can return mine. I really need to speak with someone who has one and help me decide. I have a Emu1616 and I bought the Presonus Firestudio because I was sick of the software in Emu which is well known for being a pain in the rear. The Pres on the Presonus are definitely better. The breakout box is great but I have some issues with the software.
If I return this, I'm not sure what to get to replace it. I'm a PC user.
well, hold on for it man, there are tons of pc configuration settings to help your daw, I have a huge list including a VERY interesting firewire port update for SP2 which microsoft released because they fucked firewire in sp2, what is your daw? i'm using logic 5.51 but ive finally hit reality that im going to have to use cubase, do you find you can only get a input of about -30/-40db when using a condencer mic? so mice to chat with someone who has one.
AT2020 Condesor. I can definitely get a higher input. The Mic works awesome on this thing like no complaints there. Nice pres.
Problem is the glitches, lag, etc. I just built this PC 2 months ago. From my research it seems I'm facing common problems that are often due to using a non-Texas Instruments chipped firewire card. Which I guess could be due to Win XP Pro SP2 like you said. Time is counting down I need to decide what to do with this thing before I throw it out the window.
this is a very helpful demo that could capture the interests of music enthusiasts, i really like this and im 95% convinced to purchase my first personal recording studio. thanx

how do you adjust the eq( high, mid.lows) with this unit?
codyhayley 2 years ago
You can do all those adjustments in your digital audio workstation.

Set your audio setting to ASIO, and make sure all your daw in and out are fully checked, and make sure your master track is set to master out.
lasttearzstudio 1 year ago
Set your audio setting to asio, when you first install, many software will default
