  • As much as politics is a big part of it, it isn't everything. Sometimes there's basic, obvious, rational reasons.

For instance, Chris can let me know the next time he gets security called on him for being short and walking into the men's room. There's a difference.

  • I don't need laws to help me and other short people shouldn't need them either. It's like jail people...find the biggest asshole and knock em out. Trust me, the bar always sends the biggest bouncer to check my ID. If I really wanted to, my 5'4 self could send a roundhouse straight to his face. You don't have to be tall to be a tough guy.

  • The key to fighting this, is to raise awareness about heightism. Too many people either don't know, or refuse to believe, that it exist. If you get enough people talking about it. Then, (and only then), will more people will come forward. Then you will have more support.

  • 5'7 occurs at 25% of the adult male population. Shorter, but not exactly short.

Even 5'6 occurs at ~ 10% of the population. In a full ethnographic sense, that isn't even shortest kid in the class, short. Even among 'whites' 5'6 is above the 5% mark, that is usually considered the point of significance. It's short but it's not that short. I could see under 5'5 being short (5% and below). I think NOSSA just wants attention.

  • Dude you got my support and all, but you have to understand that a short or big person can walk down the streets and blend in without people staring!!!

But a transgendered person can't simply walk down the street without being stared at or wondering who is staring at them!!!

I love all people, short, fat, tall, skinny!!! It doesn't matter!!! I just think you need to fully think out you're videos before you post them. This is coming off as YOUR being a hater toward the LGBT comm.!!!

  • Actually, NOSSA supports the LGBT community. Chris is pointing out how politics plays a role when deciding which discrimination to address and which to ignore.

  • I don't know, call me ignorant, but I've never really considered big or little people a minority!!! So I don't understand were you guys are coming from, I simply give my support if it's bad were u guys are from. I just never really see it happen to wear a short or big person hasn't been hired for a job b4!!! But as a gay guy I have seen people get fired for being gay!!!

And that's cool if NOSSA supports it, but I'm saying that the way he is talking it's coming across as negative.

  • Maybe you ned to think before you post as well. The short or big do get comments and/or looks when they walk down the street...believe me. I dont hate the LGBT community, I just think if you get protection, then why souldn't we?

  • Ahahah! They are willing to protect someone who chopped his dick off but they wont help shorter people. What a joke!

  • Oh, how long must we fight?

  • I find the ACLU's comments to be absolutely laughable!

  • Gov. Deval Patrick supports the bill, calling it a "a very straightforward question of human and civil rights."

    AND THE HEIGHT/WEIGHT BILL WASN'T????
