Hey, I am a big fan by the way, but there is a better way to store the UDPP once you get it all out of the tube. Storing it in those travel bottles will allow it to dry up...sooooo, go and get an empty lip gloss pen tube and put it in there. Its air tight and then you can just apply it with the brush tip anytime you need to use it. Just thought i would let you know. keep up the good work and keep those tutorials coming! ;)

I love my UDPP so i followed this tut....I found it easier to cut the bottle right in half (from top to bottom) instead of cutting it into 3 parts and i found that there is indeed alot of UDPP left over i just cut it in half that way i could get every nook and cranny :D <3 this tut tyvm!

10 bucks says there's still the same amount of product left in there with the bent wand. A bent wand isn't going to get into that bottom section. And all it'll do to the top section, is push it around. They need to change the entire package. I could've bent the wand myself if I thought it would really help. lol :)

The product is so great it would be sad for them to lose customers over the packaging hassle. The bottle is cute but it's a little top heavy so it always falls over in my makeup tray. Yeah, really. Truth be told, I actually prefer UDPP over TFSI, but I'm tired of supporting UD when they can't support their customers my doing a simple redesign of the product bottle. :)
hey you....whats going on girl? Your vids are awesome and I love how you don't act like your shit don't stink...know what I mean?..anyhow its easier to depot your udpp by taking out the rubber stopper and heating it up in the mic for about a min and 1/2 and tapping it out it works better and no cutting needed and guarenteed you'll love it!!! If you take the sponge cover off of the end of eyeshadow applicators that you can buy in little multi-packs (I found some in SAFORA/ULTA), you'll find the perfect little mini-scraper that can get into the corners/edges/crevaces.

if you watch enkoremakeups videos he shows you how his udpp dried up after a little while in a NON-air tight jar. I bought the lip pen he recommended with a brush tip applicator which is air-tight and prevents contamination of the product. I suggest you try that.
WOW! I want to thank you for making this video! I've had the primer potion for a few weeks now and when I got it I was like dang, there's not that much in here,but, boy was I wrong! I couldn't believe how much you got out, especially out of the bottom part. So I decided to go for it. I had a little trouble cutting the bottom, but it still work really well. I couldn't find a jar, so I had to use a tin cadle holder and tin foil, but then I found an old empty makeup jar, and that worked better. THX
i just cut mine open and OMG ! soooo much product. lol the trick to keeping it from drying out is not putting it in a container like that one ^ i used a sample eye cream jar and it was full to the brim! :):):)
I cut mine up today, and I was able to fill a whole concealer pot from MAC that I still had for some reason!!! Wow, I was amazed at how MUCH was in there. I won't have to buy this for another year!!!!
Well, it will dry out if you put it into a plasitc jar. You're supposed to use a glass jar. It keeps the moisture in. That's why you see cream/gel eye lineres are always in glass jars. So, yeah.. If you put it in a glass jar, it shouldn't dry out, and all should be good :))
I remember seeing this video so long ago, and was always looking for a small pot like you have to put the primer into. I figured out that an eye contact case was the perfect fit! And they are super easy and cheap to find.
It would not matter if it was the org applicator or not as the product had already been contaminated by the used wand. So all you did was contaminate the new appliacator. just saying but thatnks for the tutorial!

I do that for tmy liquid foundation tube. When it seems empty, i open it and i can use the rest of the foundation maybe 4times! but for the primer, i didn't know that you wasted so many product! it's almost 1/5 of the little bottle!!!
This is a good thing that you showed this. The manufacturers of Urban Decay made the bottle like that on purpose because, unless you knew there was still stuff left inside the product, you would think that it was all used up and therefore you buy more needlessly.
Consumers like us need to write to them or something, because this is equivalent to CHEATING.
wow so many people are doing this and its a cool idea. but urban decay should just make a bigger version of their mini primer which is in a straight tube. lol
I also cut open pump bottles if it has a thicker product in it. Example: I buy Olay face wash. I bash the crap out of the bottle on the counter so the pump can get to the product. After I can no longer get product out I cut it open lengthwise. You get at least 3 or 4 washes out of it.
A few tips on depotting UDPP: (1) Use a airtight glass jar--this keeps the product from drying out; (2) Sanitize everything-the knife, the glass jar and even the outside of the UDPP bottle prior to depotting (3) Store in a cool, dry place. I've known several youtubers who've done this and their primer has been working beautifully after depotting!
if its depotted you don't have to throw it away in 2 to 4 months... when it in the normal package, yes.. because you use the applicator then stick it back in the tube, then bacteria grows. but if you use a clean brush when its depotted then it's more like a paint pot from mac.
at 6:00, you said it was a new unopened bottle!

I would suggest a glass container, like from an old paint pot. Plastic jars will make it dry out faster.

@clairyfarey depends how air tight the container is that you put it into after. So just get a good airtight one and it would be fine.

if you watch enkoremakeups videos he shows you how his udpp dried up after a little while in a NON-air tight jar. I bought the lip pen he recommended with a brush tip applicator which is air-tight and prevents contamination of the product. I suggest you try that.

WOW! I want to thank you for making this video! I've had the primer potion for a few weeks now and when I got it I was like dang, there's not that much in here,but, boy was I wrong! I couldn't believe how much you got out, especially out of the bottom part. So I decided to go for it. I had a little trouble cutting the bottom, but it still work really well. I couldn't find a jar, so I had to use a tin cadle holder and tin foil, but then I found an old empty makeup jar, and that worked better. THX

i just cut mine open and OMG ! soooo much product. lol the trick to keeping it from drying out is not putting it in a container like that one ^ i used a sample eye cream jar and it was full to the brim! :):):)

I cut mine up today, and I was able to fill a whole concealer pot from MAC that I still had for some reason!!! Wow, I was amazed at how MUCH was in there. I won't have to buy this for another year!!!!

Well, it will dry out if you put it into a plasitc jar. You're supposed to use a glass jar. It keeps the moisture in. That's why you see cream/gel eye lineres are always in glass jars. So, yeah.. If you put it in a glass jar, it shouldn't dry out, and all should be good :))

Good advice, I use a smaller baby food jar that I have cleaned out and sanitized. One of the many recycling ideas for those baby food jars :)

I remember seeing this video so long ago, and was always looking for a small pot like you have to put the primer into. I figured out that an eye contact case was the perfect fit! And they are super easy and cheap to find.

I've heard some people saying it does dry out.... I depotted mine about 4 weeks ago and I put it in a little 5g jar...hasn't dried out yet :-)
it really is a TON of product in the tube.

It would not matter if it was the org applicator or not as the product had already been contaminated by the used wand. So all you did was contaminate the new appliacator. just saying but thatnks for the tutorial!

I do that for tmy liquid foundation tube. When it seems empty, i open it and i can use the rest of the foundation maybe 4times! but for the primer, i didn't know that you wasted so many product! it's almost 1/5 of the little bottle!!!

This is a good thing that you showed this. The manufacturers of Urban Decay made the bottle like that on purpose because, unless you knew there was still stuff left inside the product, you would think that it was all used up and therefore you buy more needlessly.
Consumers like us need to write to them or something, because this is equivalent to CHEATING.

I also cut open pump bottles if it has a thicker product in it. Example: I buy Olay face wash. I bash the crap out of the bottle on the counter so the pump can get to the product. After I can no longer get product out I cut it open lengthwise. You get at least 3 or 4 washes out of it.

A few tips on depotting UDPP: (1) Use a airtight glass jar--this keeps the product from drying out; (2) Sanitize everything-the knife, the glass jar and even the outside of the UDPP bottle prior to depotting (3) Store in a cool, dry place. I've known several youtubers who've done this and their primer has been working beautifully after depotting!

if its depotted you don't have to throw it away in 2 to 4 months... when it in the normal package, yes.. because you use the applicator then stick it back in the tube, then bacteria grows. but if you use a clean brush when its depotted then it's more like a paint pot from mac.
just thought i'd add that so no one wastes it!

I hate the stupid bottle too, the sample you get with the deluxe pallet is easier to use than the full size bottle. It costs a friggin fortune too!
