Its not the original hospital. The original hospital used to house the Presidio museum. The building in question is the Letterman Hospital. Lucas turned it into a production studio.

My buddy worked there doing the renovation and he said the morgue is the wine cellar now. He also mentioned that one of the security guards there said 12 guys walked off the job last year because they saw and heard shit there.

Sorry to burst your bubbles guys but you were not in a military hospital. You were in the old mariners hospital. That hospital was for merchant marines who were on cargo ships. The building still is there.They tore down the left and right wings of the building but kept the original center.The wings were added on later in the 1950's-1960's.That building actually closed before the presedio closed. Some private hospital wanted it but it would have cost to much to bring it up to code.Its now condo's

@zenmama88 I can't remember if it's above or below the condos, but it's by there. Pretty creepy though. There are a whole bunch of old boarded up Dr.s houses, and when you drive up at night you just get this feeling someone is watching you. Plus, now they've cleared the trees around the hospital so you can see it from the condos.

I think this is the same one at least.

i know of a chitload of real haunted places and buildings in the bay area and this 1 is not 1 of them and it was quiet for years when it was jus taggers and gangbangers breaking in but once all the college nerds from sf and daly city found out about it they would go in their screaming making hella fucking noise breaking shit like lil kids til finally they got a 24/7 security and now they bulldozed the left and right wings college nerds brought way too much attention and got this place shut down

I went in Letterman hospital once and it was so scary me and my friends had to leave after like 5 minutes. When we got back outside the Presidio Police were waiting. Luckily we didn't get in trouble just a long speaking too.

Place is creepy as shit I went in 2006 no ghost sightings though just weird noises and cold spots I also heard it was torn down in 2008 couldn't tell ya for sure but if its there and your into that shit I definitely recommend this place for a creepy night in Frisco. Oh yeah it's also a military base meaning there is military police patrolling the presidio at all times and they do not fuck around.

oh my gosh i used to go there 3 or 4 years ago. ive been maybe 3 times? that place is SO haunted! i went with friends and this one time we walked down a hall and there were guys dressed up like ninjas and we were like WTF!! but they didnt hurt us. its completely covered in graffiti and i shit you not, a fucking ghost whispered in my ear and you just hear a lot of stuff moving around and its really really drafy. we went to the morgue

I go there all the time. It is a really creepy place but I've never seen any flashes of light or the cold draft (probably because I'm already freezing my ass off by the time I get there lol) I'll make sure to keep my eyes peeled for the light though.

lol this was a lil over-dramatic guys. I live literally a couple blocks away (i can see the hospital from my house) and i go running up there all the time. there were big piles of dirt from construction they were doing over there, and there are some white buildings not in use, but organizations like the jcc used them as a temporary spot while they built new facilities and usf uses some of the buildings as student dorms and living quarters. and its foggy all the time in the richmond district man

this hospital is closed down...i went there once with a bunch of friends and it was ok until the cops came because these kids came and ran alllll the way up to the top floor. and we just stayed on the first floor exploring. scary shit though.
