Warning: SPOILERS!! as we know Giegue..he used some kind of dark powers to destroy himself leaving behind his soul...in earthbound you "rematched" him and destroyed "the ultimate evil" in mother 3 he was a deleted boss that came after the final battle (phase 1) but nintendo deleted giygas but left something behind...the Debug room had the lost boss in it. and that is how Giegue became Giygas.

Also, because giygas/giegue was so found of ninten(do)'s grand parents, he was weak against human emotion after they died, thats why their song defeats him in mother and prayer defeats him in earthbound. He cannot comprehend human emotion, so it cuases damage to his psyche (mental state) which also damages him physically because of his psi abilities; just how like when we cannot comprehend his attack, which causes us damage.

@rocketmetal103 hes right guys, Giegue was designed by the exact same person that made mewtwo, and although giygus (His more powerful form) was inspired by, what the creater thought, was a rape scene; you do not abort a fetus in earthbound (the baby in the background was actually unintentional) also, the devils machine is not a vagina. whoever thought all that shit up though has a fucked up imagination. 0.0 Giygas's attack is also "Uncomprehendable" by Ness and co. because its self defense.

There name Ape inc changed to creatures inc when they moved to gamefreak, that's why Giegue resembles a mewtwo from the first earthbound game. @Teraku2 No easy patch for me, and my level was so low that I couldn't handle the beasties at Mt. Itoi, I had to 4th Dimension Slip away from them every time.

Giegue on the other hand was easy, but for me it was hard to record the entire battle in 10 minutes, which is why I had to play the game super fast.

@burra007 the final boss battles of mother aren't that hard since they're all about survival. So playing defensively is incredibly easy against Giegue, for Gyigas all you need is the Sea Pendant on Paula and you've pretty much won the battle after that because she'll be invincible against Gyigas' blasts of PK Flash Omega bullshit.

(proven false since there is a small age difference between ness and ninten) Also: the devils machine in mother 2 happens to look alot like how giegue is depicted here. The only problem with the Earthbounds' final bosses is that you never actually have to fight. It's more of a "survive and use some gimmick to win".

With the HP system in 2 &3 it's even easier.

Mother 3's the easiest no doubt because Lucas much like ness has the most HP in the party and is a good healer and assistant, but the battles beforehand are a different story

Mother 2's a bit more complicated though Giygas tends to do what I consider "PK Flash Omega" and cause abnormal status to the team and it gives out a good possibility to lose if you come unprepared

this one isn't very hard because Giegue only does an attack to the entire group each turn, so it's mostly heal and sing
