i am pro guns. i support on back ground check and mental health background check... and that's it. How about make a rules that for 50 states instad one state has a different law than others. A lot of legal gun owner got arrested in another state because they are not allowed to carry .. wth is that ? The reason NYc is safe Because there are cops at every corner. I had been thre so i know. i was like wow cops are everywhere.. lol.

In Kennesaw, GA they made it a law you MUST own a gun and keep it in your home. The burglary rate went down over 85%. Not all homeowners, abide by this law of course, but the criminals assume they do.

im glad to hear that gun control is working out for you guys in canada, unfortunately dispite our firm laws on guns, the system doesn't seem to be working out for us here in the u.k, plus people with a legitimate reason to own a gun aren't able to pursue there interest, whereas in france there gun laws are reasonable but not such that you could own anything, but you can have a nice collection, im moving to france but guns arent the only reason, our government is crap too.

Btw, Canada has slightly more restrictive laws on guns then the US. Only slightly.

The problem in Canada has to do with Quebec.

English Canada votes a lot like the US 50/50 conservative or liberal. But Quebec always vote Liberal federally or Bloc (Quebec version of SSP or SNP) who are both leftists.

I live in the UK which has the strictest gun laws in the world other than "communist countries" and let me tell you this, it is piss easy to a get a gun, I could walk to a pub with £500 and buy an Uzi with plenty of ammo. Criminals wont follow the rules and take the test thats why their called criminals!

I live in Canada and we have strict gun laws too. Sure criminals still get guns, anybody can get a gun anytime but theres consequences here. The system works obviously because the % of gun crime is way lower than the US. Put a 5 year prison term on somebody who has an illegal or unauthorized weapon and that will help too. Theres lots of ways to PREVEnt guns from being in the wrong hands. But letting anybody anytime legally own a weapon? bad idea from the start.
