I thought the series was uneven. First of all, it seemed unsure whether it wanted to be a comedy or a drama. Some characters, like T'Challa, were well-written and multidimensional, while others, like the Black Knight, were one-dimensional stereotypes. The animation was interesting, and rather hearkened back to the days of "The Marvel Superheroes."
I mean, I enjoyed it for the most part, it's just that it needed a little more planning.
I love this series too. I first saw it on Netflix. So anyone with a Netfilx account can catch the episodes there as well. However, it only has one season, I think the show has been canceled.

@26Deacon Yes traditionally it's usually been South African expats but in the last 10 years there's been lot's of migrants coming from places like Sudan and Zimbabwe here. I grew up with a lot of Sudanese friends they are great people.
I love the Black Panther he's one of my favorite superheros,and I hope that they'll consider producing a live action film based on him.However I HATE whenever they make him wear the cape. It takes away from the sleekness of his look. And it makes him look too much like Batman.
Coming from a very white high schooler, the Black Panther is one of the most important characters in comics. He's as badass as it gets and I think he represents his race very well in the Marvel Universe without being stereotyped. This show is a great chapter in his spotty history and it's a shame it's not more well-known.

A good Native American super hero power would be to control the spirits of nature kinda like storm but also a mix with hawkeye with the bow and arrow and thor with a tomahawk instead of the hammer and lastly the power to regenerate like wolverine and turn into native american symbolic animals like a bull,horse,eagle,snake,hawk, and a jaguar,etc
As much as I like Black Panther and Storm I have to admit that I'm a little disappointed with how their relationship is unfolding. Storm's been neglected. She hardly gets any time in the X-men because she is in Wakanda but doesn't seem to be getting any solo adventures while Black Panther was able to run around solo to replace Daredevil in Hell's Kitchen. Hopefully Storm will have a big role in the Schism event. She's frequently been a leader for the X-men; I'd like to see her reprise that role.

@filmtress Let me be honest with you but the black panther series was not a good super hero anime because. Seriously man captain america is suppose to be a super hero not a thief and why would Stan Lee make him a bad guy in this show and then make a movie about him a year later where both captain america and the U.S are good guys. The black panther also had resources in Wakanda which could have cured diseases and save millions yet he never shared any of his tech with any other country.

Also, This series was created for B.E.T. but since it's owned by Viacom a white racist owner they decided not to run it. Why? Well, it seems they didn't like the fact that Storm and three other X-men appeared in the Series as allies to Wakanda and this pissed Hollywood off. So in their new X-Man movie they basicall tell storm & X-men to kiss off. They were MAD!

Hands down, one of the most powerful animated short series that I've ever seen. Hate it got pulled. Beautiful and powerful storyline.
I suspect that the writers looked to the example of Ethiopia, which is I believe, the only African nation that was able to successfully defend itself against full fledged colonization by European powers (Italy occurpied Ethiopia for only 5 years...but were then sent packin').

The theme song is cool. I want the translation. This is not Marvel's first Black superhero though. That would be Powerman. Powerman had his own comic book back in the 70s. This is the first African superhero to have his own comic. I don't think Storm ever had a comic to herself.
Black Panther first appeared in Fantastic Four #52, 1966. Luke Cage first appeared in Heroes for Hire #1, 1972. Black Panther was first. It's also worth noting that John Stewart (Green Lantern, DC) first appeared in Green Lantern #87, 1971. So no, Luke Cage is not Marvel's first black superhero and certainly not the first black superhero ever. Storm has had a few limited series, but no ongoing.
@MrTTaylor25 Its the herb that is given to the royal blood in order for them to have abilities. That may have been retconned by now, but it's still up in the air. Storm was his fiancee that he met on his walkabout (not his fiancee at the time but the woman he connected with and became his fiancee) and is now his wife.

He really is the very first black comic super hero, and I'm glad they did it right. I'm Native American, not black at all, but Black Panther is a great superhero... In a way, I feel like even though I'm not black, he does fight for me too.... because Native Americans are a minority who have NEVER gotten such a great hero.

He is a bit retro (almost considered C or D-List), but his skills are unparalled. This is the best show I've seen in such a long time. It's not really long, but it's full of more original and well done ideas than anything else out right now. I love the idea of their being a technologically advanced country in Africa, I love the idea of the Panther and what he stands for to his people. I love that he holds himself in regard on the same level as Cap.

A good Native American super hero power would be to control the spirits of nature kinda like storm but also a mix with hawkeye with the bow and arrow and thor with a tomahawk instead of the hammer and lastly the power to regenerate like wolverine and turn into native american symbolic animals like a bull,horse,eagle,snake,hawk, and a jaguar,etc

As much as I like Black Panther and Storm I have to admit that I'm a little disappointed with how their relationship is unfolding. Storm's been neglected. She hardly gets any time in the X-men because she is in Wakanda but doesn't seem to be getting any solo adventures while Black Panther was able to run around solo to replace Daredevil in Hell's Kitchen. Hopefully Storm will have a big role in the Schism event. She's frequently been a leader for the X-men; I'd like to see her reprise that role.

Seriously man captain america is suppose to be a super hero not a thief and why would Stan Lee make him a bad guy in this show and then make a movie about him a year later where both captain america and the U.S are good guys. The black panther also had resources in Wakanda which could have cured diseases and save millions yet he never shared any of his tech with any other country.

@MrFryguy001 This cartoon series was produced in part by Stan Lee himself. He does the voice as the General (that gets thrown out). Also, This series was created for B.E.T. but since it's owned by Viacom a white racist owner they decided not to run it. Why? Well, it seems they didn't like the fact that Storm and three other X-men appeared in the Series as allies to Wakanda and this pissed Hollywood off. So in their new X-Man movie they basicall tell storm & X-men to kiss off. They were MAD!

@filmtress I don't know how much of what you are saying is true cause I've never seen the new X Men movie but the bottom line is the series poorly portayed the U.S government which is not cool cause in allmost all of Stans works his other heros fight for the U.S and is now all of a sudden being portrayed as a gov of blood suckers. Plus most of the other heros you mentiond have saved the entire world vs black panther who only liked wakanda and never used his medical resources to save anyone else

Hands down, one of the most powerful animated short series that I've ever seen. Hate it got pulled. Beautiful and powerful storyline.
I suspect that the writers looked to the example of Ethiopia, which is I believe, the only African nation that was able to successfully defend itself against full fledged colonization by European powers (Italy occurpied Ethiopia for only 5 years...but were then sent packin').

The theme song is cool. I want the translation. This is not Marvel's first Black superhero though. That would be Powerman. Powerman had his own comic book back in the 70s. This is the first African superhero to have his own comic. I don't think Storm ever had a comic to herself.

Black Panther first appeared in Fantastic Four #52, 1966. Luke Cage first appeared in Heroes for Hire #1, 1972. Black Panther was first. It's also worth noting that John Stewart (Green Lantern, DC) first appeared in Green Lantern #87, 1971. So no, Luke Cage is not Marvel's first black superhero and certainly not the first black superhero ever. Storm has had a few limited series, but no ongoing.

Storm was his fiancee that he met on his walkabout (not his fiancee at the time but the woman he connected with and became his fiancee) and is now his wife.

He really is the very first black comic super hero, and I'm glad they did it right. I'm Native American, not black at all, but Black Panther is a great superhero... In a way, I feel like even though I'm not black, he does fight for me too.... because Native Americans are a minority who have NEVER gotten such a great hero.

He is a bit retro (almost considered C or D-List), but his skills are unparalled. He proved his greatness to me when he handed Bullseye his ass on a Silver Platter (Thunderbolts Vol. 1: Faith in Monsters). Magnificent. I really like him, not as much as I personally like the Panther, but I like him nonetheless.

This is the best show I've seen in such a long time. It's not really long, but it's full of more original and well done ideas than anything else out right now. I love the idea of their being a technologically advanced country in Africa, I love the idea of the Panther and what he stands for to his people. I love that he holds himself in regard on the same level as Cap.

great show I wish they wouldve made it a full fledge series and not this weird 10 minute episode thing.
The only bad thing was the stereotypes were cringe worthy, the suave french guy giving his french jokes, the dumb American juggernaut, Captain America, and the xmen in general were all brainless except storm of course... also didnt know how I felt to see "American cyborg zombies" come out of the coffins with american flags over them. hell the even made cracks at Belgiums of all people.
