@arson519 Even without a tune you will notice an increase to the top end. Tuning is recommended to keep the tq. curve in check. If your planning on using forced induction or spray then it is perfect. Other then hat nothing else on the market looks as good or sounds as good imo...

@formula72 Company the fabricated it was Stromung, and Vibrant sounds good. You can also grab a nismo exhaust and if you have an SE-R just have the tips cut off right after the muffler and weld a 2 inch pipe there...

What you getting from cattman? And I have cattman headers on and a Mini test pipe behind it all and those mufflers...I'm gonna replace that test pipe with a magnaflow or flowmaster bullet racing muffler

There's a cheap 3.5 coupe 6mt in code red near me. Thing is, the guy painted the grill black, added a black stripe down the hood, and added 5-spoke thin rims. he also painted some interior plastics red. It's kind of tacky, but I kind of like it, even if it is a bit riced out, might get it.

As for mods quite a few, only thing holding me back is a good tranny and stock turbos are at the limit. 370whp/410wtq is my dyno. But dont tell anyone cause im keeping it on the dl lol...

If your just installing the MP cat-back then no resonator is necessary. It sounds great, I loved it. You you ever install header/y-pipe then a reso would be necessary but with just the MP exhuast youb will be perfectly fine and smiling ear to ear...

They dont have a check where I live anymore. If they did I would fail. You can purchase a highflow cat and have it welded on the y-pipe that should make it legal...
nvm, I read the comments; I still would take the manual over the auto in car like this. also in the 3.5SE's the 5spd is better than the auto's faster 1/4mi and less weight. speaking of 1/4mi times the stock SE-R's are said to be slower than the 3.5SE because of their extra weight. Nice car anyways man, I want that IM but it is far to expensive.
6spd can having bearing problems tight from the factory. I know a handful of people who had their trans replaced once or twice and the bearing where still whining from a brand new trans. That and Ive always preferred a 5spd to a 6...
maybe they have straight cut gears like the sentra spec v's. straight cut gears are louder than spiral cut (i.e.honda) but stronger. I'm not saying, but suggesting
Indeed. I never said it was slower. The fastest transmissions are automatic. Just not as fun. Nothing like chirping into second and then 3rd. Anyone can race an auto, but a manual takes focus. What did you do to your exhaust? It's a lot louder than my brothers 05 SE R.
I do a lot of daily driving in the city, why I got the auto. I know its not as fun, but the tiptronic isnt that bad. Got a 5spd 300ZX-TT 5spd for the fun factor lol.
Exhaust is custom header/y-pipe with Mossy Performance 2.5" cat back. Soon to be Cattman header/y-pipe...
Lol automatic is a lot more consistent then the 6spd that is prone to bearing problems. I run 13.9's at 102 consistently without a tune, a lot of 6spds cant claim that. That and the only available turbo kit is made for the auto because its faster then the 6spd...
Why not mod it anymore? Its a good car to mod. Intake is a good start, next I would go with exhaust and y-pipe. The pulley isnt necessary. Or you could go with some stuff from NWP for your intake manifold...
You will get about 5whp for $200 which is about the same as an intake so yea i think its worth it. Just be careful because nissan tensioners strip out easy...

I tried like hell to beat this challenger r/t at my local 1/8th mile but he got me by about .12 seconds. Less than 1 mph though so I was feeling good about the mods to my SE. Best mph was 78.5 1/8th mile and it was 70F outside.
Do you have to shift into 4th for a 1/4 mile? It's damn near 3 hours for me to travel to a 1/4 mile track so I haven't been yet. I know the SE/SL use a slightly higher final drive ratio so i am hoping by holding the shifter up trick it will be enough to run out the back of the 1/4 mile without the shift. Speedo says 105 when it fuel cuts in 3rd but not sure how much speedo error there is.
No it doesnt have to shift into fourth, just hold the tip in the (-) so it doesnt shift it for you. Go to streetfire and look up code-red altima ser and check out my videos and you will see it hit 105 in third...
So you are tapping 78-79 1/8th, what is your avg ET? I'm sure I can run some 9.20's with a better hook and cooler weather. 9.30 was my best, but I ran like 4 or 5 9.30-9.35s when I went a few weeks back.
Do you have a technosquare or custom tune at all? Seems like the SER shifts at a higher rpm than the SE/SL's. I have Cipher and my car shifts at 6300 from every gear +- 50rpm. Yours sounds closer to 6600-6700. Also wondering if the SER has a higher fuel cut limit. i hit it at 6750 I think.
No tuning yet but I need one lol. TS will be soon. I think my car redlines at like 6700 rpms which is normal, I think the gen before mine was lower...
I dont have a tune, my a/f ratio is all over the place, low end is a really weak because of it. Not worried about it though. Tune, new hearders, and a few other goodies will make their way into my car this spring. I expect to be running high 12's in the summer...

Lol well it depends. They are a pain to install and unless you pay 1k for Cattman's headers your gonna have a sel. If i could go back I would have just bought cattmans y-pipe instead of having custom headers made. If I was you I would go with the MP exhaust and if you have the money get that y-pipe its arround 250-300 i think...

See my parents from day one have been retarded as far as me modding my car and didnt want me touching it while it was under warranty, so as of now its stock other than 2k in aesthetic stuff. But i have been saving and collecting mods and now my warranty is up in like a month and i am throwing in the y-pipe, mossy exhaust, injen CAI, and vias delete plate all in one day if possible. Its gonna be literally like driving a new car. Cant wait. :)

If your just installing the MP cat-back then no resonator is necessary. It sounds great, I loved it. You you ever install header/y-pipe then a reso would be necessary but with just the MP exhuast youb will be perfectly fine and smiling ear to ear...

Yeah i already have header/y-pipe on my altima so i definitly would need one. Is there a specific resonator that i would need or just any resonator would do? I think Im going through with it power gains are supposely really good

Because I just bought Altima 3.5 2004 and it has a bad catalitic convertor, so i am thinking about replacing it with headers.

They dont have a check where I live anymore. If they did I would fail. You can purchase a highflow cat and have it welded on the y-pipe that should make it legal...

nvm, I read the comments; I still would take the manual over the auto in car like this. also in the 3.5SE's the 5spd is better than the auto's faster 1/4mi and less weight. speaking of 1/4mi times the stock SE-R's are said to be slower than the 3.5SE because of their extra weight. Nice car anyways man, I want that IM but it is far to expensive.

6spd can having bearing problems tight from the factory. I know a handful of people who had their trans replaced once or twice and the bearing where still whining from a brand new trans. That and Ive always preferred a 5spd to a 6...

Indeed. I never said it was slower. The fastest transmissions are automatic. Just not as fun. Nothing like chirping into second and then 3rd. Anyone can race an auto, but a manual takes focus. What did you do to your exhaust? It's a lot louder than my brothers 05 SE R.

I do a lot of daily driving in the city, why I got the auto. I know its not as fun, but the tiptronic isnt that bad. Got a 5spd 300ZX-TT 5spd for the fun factor lol.
Exhaust is custom header/y-pipe with Mossy Performance 2.5" cat back. Soon to be Cattman header/y-pipe...

Lol automatic is a lot more consistent then the 6spd that is prone to bearing problems. I run 13.9's at 102 consistently without a tune, a lot of 6spds cant claim that. That and the only available turbo kit is made for the auto because its faster then the 6spd...

Why not mod it anymore? Its a good car to mod. Intake is a good start, next I would go with exhaust and y-pipe. The pulley isnt necessary. Or you could go with some stuff from NWP for your intake manifold...

You will get about 5whp for $200 which is about the same as an intake so yea i think its worth it. Just be careful because nissan tensioners strip out easy...

I tried like hell to beat this challenger r/t at my local 1/8th mile but he got me by about .12 seconds. Less than 1 mph though so I was feeling good about the mods to my SE. Best mph was 78.5 1/8th mile and it was 70F outside.

Do you have to shift into 4th for a 1/4 mile? It's damn near 3 hours for me to travel to a 1/4 mile track so I haven't been yet. I know the SE/SL use a slightly higher final drive ratio so i am hoping by holding the shifter up trick it will be enough to run out the back of the 1/4 mile without the shift. Speedo says 105 when it fuel cuts in 3rd but not sure how much speedo error there is.

No it doesnt have to shift into fourth, just hold the tip in the (-) so it doesnt shift it for you. Go to streetfire and look up code-red altima ser and check out my videos and you will see it hit 105 in third...

So you are tapping 78-79 1/8th, what is your avg ET? I'm sure I can run some 9.20's with a better hook and cooler weather. 9.30 was my best, but I ran like 4 or 5 9.30-9.35s when I went a few weeks back.

Do you have a technosquare or custom tune at all? Seems like the SER shifts at a higher rpm than the SE/SL's. I have Cipher and my car shifts at 6300 from every gear +- 50rpm. Yours sounds closer to 6600-6700. Also wondering if the SER has a higher fuel cut limit. i hit it at 6750 I think.

I dont have a tune, my a/f ratio is all over the place, low end is a really weak because of it. Not worried about it though. Tune, new hearders, and a few other goodies will make their way into my car this spring. I expect to be running high 12's in the summer...

Be honest with me... were those headers really worth it? Cause i am having a dilemma right now on whether or not to get the mossy cat-back and say fuck it to headers, or get a magnaflow cat so i already got a resonator and maybe give the headers a go. What do you think i should do? and one other thing... youre not from NJ are you?

Lol well it depends. They are a pain to install and unless you pay 1k for Cattman's headers your gonna have a sel. If i could go back I would have just bought cattmans y-pipe instead of having custom headers made. If I was you I would go with the MP exhaust and if you have the money get that y-pipe its arround 250-300 i think...

Yeah thats exactly what i am thinking. See my parents from day one have been retarded as far as me modding my car and didnt want me touching it while it was under warranty, so as of now its stock other than 2k in aesthetic stuff. But i have been saving and collecting mods and now my warranty is up in like a month and i am throwing in the y-pipe, mossy exhaust, injen CAI, and vias delete plate all in one day if possible. Its gonna be literally like driving a new car. Cant wait. :)
