You know, a few months ago, i sent a letter to President Obama about a new cabinet post that I was thinking of. It's called the Secretary of the Environment and Peace between Foreign Countries. I think John Kerry would be perfect for that post. You night say that this Sceretary is the environment's guardian and a peace maker between countries that are fighting.
I think mostly everyone commenting is forgetting the fact that they are both shitty candidates... Mc'cain want's to stay in Iraq and afghanistan
Obama want's to get 'some' of the troops out of Iraq just to be redeployed to afganistan...
Mc'cain and Obama both are just giving out speeches. I have yet to see Obama deliver on his promises...
Lots of people say oh it's only a year into his term, yeah a 'year'...lot of time. If he can't get anything done in 1 year what will he get done in 4?...
I cant vote, couse I gotta wait two more years to become a citizen of the usa, but most of my friends keep talking about how the like this guy and hate the other one,on both sides. but when I ask them if they are going to vote, they always answer the same way "maybe" , my question is, how you gonna change some thing if you dont care?
THE THING ABOUT THESE DEBATES ARE THAT NEITHER CANDIDATES WANT TO EXPRESS WHAT THEY REALLY WANNA SAY BECAUSE THEY ARE TERRIFIED OF MAKING A WRONG STEP AND DISAPPOINTING THE VIEWERS... BUT I ASSUME THAT HAPPENED ANYWAYS..lol
carrierye I do believe there are just as many people who don't like Mccain and make "stupid" judgments in your opinion. If you felt no need to comment my statement then you shouldn't have. I stated how I feel, and that's it. Sorry you don't like it, and sorry I don't have the same positive views on Mccain as you. Take care
blueeyed - Obama should never have stood there and admit the other was right! He did that more then eight times and that proves his inexperience. IT's firghtening, really, to think we may get the next Jimmy CArter in office! LAst night he was being described as 'aloof' That's not good.
Actually Obama was the one dodging a lot, McCain did a better job at it. The moderator even tried to change the question on spending several times for Obama to give an answer, but all he talked about is the money he wanted to spend. Say what you will about McCain, but he is the only one qualified to be the next president. Obama isn't even close, and he knows it. Look at his face at the end, he was ashamed. Slogans shouldn't sway the masses to Obama.
Yeah, well, Obama kept saying to McCain 'you;re right.' But also How dare Obama try and take credit for the bailout deal?? How DARE he - when he DID NOT EVEN WANT TO GO TO DC!!! Oh, he went - reluctantly. But he did not offer anything up!!!
mccain is not a gud debater....he cannot talk to the people the way Obama can...Mccain is has experience ..yes, but he has too much time in the past, and keeps on with his ideas that have not worked....why continue on with wat we're doing right now.....Obama is a change and a change people is wat we need....Obama 08 A better Future....A better Change
I beg everyone to pay attention to how often one uses or starts with a different subject, before talking about the actual one. Does one start out and attack more often, does one talk about himself more often, does on say almost the similar thing more often and such. In other words, pay attention on if they are using tactics or if they are saying what they actually mean. Pick out the tactics!!!!!!! And hear what they have to say after the tactics to make your choice.
Please people do some primary source research or check top expert non partisan research websites. If you want to learn on the issue of candidates tax policies and find out when they are stretching the truth and if you want to learn the effects of their tax policies check out this fantastic website of tax foundation. Just google it and you can check out the publication section and then click election 2008. There are great clarifying articles there. Educate yourself before you vote!
We will declare war on Iran, and elections will probably be suspended. Did I mention that the U.S. will do a false flag attack on itself and blame it on someone else! (9/11) WAKE UP PEOPLE! This isn't history in the making, its prophecy. JESUS IS COMMING SOON!
A President needs to be able to stand up straight and look at people in the eye, how much ever he dislikes them. He has to separate business from person, and not wear his heart on his sleeve. Imagine the President shuffling around at an international summit of world leaders like the United Nations, with head lowered, giving limp handshakes, and avoiding meeting the eyes of half the guys there. And, three years from now, add body tremors and a decided limp. Boy, will the world pity the US then!
Obama may be a smooth talker, not have as much experience, and hell even be more style than substance... But look @ where the so-called "experienced" people have led us in the past 8 years. Maybe someone with good judgement and values is more important than experience? All I know is, I was supporting John McCain for most of this race up until now. It doesn't matter that Obama may not be 100% American, we need to get out of this economic crisis, and with Obama we have a better chance.

Don't be fooled by Obama America. We had an election in Australia with our now Prime Minister telling us how he was a fresh face for new ideas promising much change. A good talker just like Obama. What did we get a guy with no idea how to run a country bogged down in process and no backbone. Seems to me I am seeing the same thing with the presidential race. Don't be fooled by the smooth talker.
Wow, ok lets only elect people who cant talk.. soon they wont need to talk. nice theory.... BTW Rudd isn't bad, liberals just used the mining boom to help their position :).. and GO THE GREENS
When did I say elect people that can't talk? I actually hinted that we need not just a good speaker but someone that is actually willing and able to make change. Rudd has been full of promise of change insinuating that he would drop raising grocery costs, fuel costs, faster broad band not tomorrow but now, industrial relations reform. Has this occurred?
Obama is full of the word change and that is a cornerstone of his campaign. Will he deliver? I hope I am wrong for all our sakes.
I liked Biden's interviews for newsnetworks immediately following the debate. Obama/Biden are stand up and have plans that they want to get out to the people. Palin's nowhere to be seen besides reading off bushes speeches and McCain is just bad for those amongst us who like breathing. This debate was a good night for America and a sombre night for the funkytalk express.
Mccain is a rich man who knows nothing of the middle class. He could'nt even look his opponent in the eyes with respect, regardless to such different views. He's just a rich, old, religious driven white man. Obama is a family man who lived a middle class life and can relate far more than Mccain. They're probably both liars, but I'd rather go for change and something different than go with someone who is almost a clone of Bush.Let's not be stupid...again. Wecan't afford to slip any further.

Know what you are talking about before you comment. Do some research, your statements are false. It's not even worth my time to try and explain his plans and ideas to someone as ignorant as you are. We all have our own opinions, and freedom to vote thanks to people who risk their lives defending this great nation (including Senator McCain). Both made great points last night, but when it comes to foreign policy, McCain is by far the right choice.

McCain made Obama look like a studdering 12 year old. I couldn't believe the commentary afterwards though. Were they watching the same debate on CNN? The Obama zombies, still with that glazed over lok on their faces....
