I have actually heard that climbing with the FiveFingers is a terrible idea. The reasoning was b/c it allows the individual tendons in the feet to carry the weight of the body. Makes sense considering how the engineering of the rock climbing shoe forces the weight on a central area thus preventing each individual tendon from carrying too much weight and being torn/blown out.

What gray board are you using on the top? And how much did this project cost?

3/4" plywood my brotha... 1/2 holes with 3/8" T-nuts.

It wasn't cheap.
