Obama doesn't care about solving the world's problems - he only cares about getting elected. For example, he endorses a cap-and-trade system to address climate change, but only to please American free market fundamentalist voters. The BEST solution to CO2 emissions is a carbon tax, which is easier to administer and addresses the problem directly.
