hagglunds BV206 is about the only military vehicle worth having in a 'get the fuck outta here' scenario.....they will go ANYWHERE and have less footprint weight per square inch than a human on foot
If the shite ever really hits the fan, the most likely scenario is that the wind will blow your ashes away, and these half melted relics will slowly decompose and be buried in the snow of a nuclear winter that will last several centuries.
Other than that they will just remain as crappy old museum pieces.
@ozzirt Good point. I'm not preparing for anything. I'm not even keeping an umbrella in my car anymore. If it rains, I'll just get pneumonia regardless. Hey... since we're all going to die eventually, why wait?
@ScottsUtubeWorld Because it's a damn sight more sensible than spending huge time and effort preparing for things that only exist in your head.
Did you ever stop to think how absolutely impractical these vehicles are anyway and with the fuel consumption and specialised logistic support they need, they'll be even more useless in time of an emergency.
An Alvis Stalwart or 'Stolly' . Do they still have their wading gear, pumps etc?
As military vehicles go these are superb looking vehicles. Imagine seeing one of these in your rear-view mirror. If they still have their original engines then they're Rolls Royce military units. They used to have a habit of shooting out flames from the exhaust - which considering they were built to transport fuel and supplies to the battle front wasn't too brilliant.
If they aren't Diesel powered you may have a fuel supply problem! Just like having the only vehicle with any real anti tank capability, barred behind stuff.
at 1:40 the silver vehicle. Fun as hell to drive!!! has a toyota 4cly motor in it. that mo fo will drift and do donuts all day long. No suspension! I owned one a couple months ago. RARE
@bakcompat Nice collection of vehicles comrade. If you don't mind me asking, how much does something like this set a person back? I don't really know what is legal in the People's Republic of Kalifornia other than some of the military trucks....
Appart from the Dodge BEEP's and the Ford Mut, they are all British. Stalwart's, Saracen's, Fox's, Ferret's, 432 (Trojans) and Humber Pigs, are all British vehicles.
In my opinion a tank, APC or anything of the sort isn't the most functional way to get around. When something ges wrong I wouldn't want to be near one of those things. anyone who works for the government will think you're a hosile unit the instant they see you and onther people will see you as a great target because they want to steal what you have. It's like owning a big sign that says "KILL ME!" You'd be screwed. Just out of curiousity though where did you get them?
When the SHTF youre gonna have fun trying to get them started i think. Youve got a decent mixed collection there Amigo, can see ferret scout car , stalwart, humber pig, saracen...look up some details on them, it'd make for a more interesting vid....
From what I saw in this video you have 2 Alvis Stalwart (6-wheeler truck), 2 Alvis Saracen (6-wheeler armored vehicle), 4 Ferret Scout (small armored car), and possibly 3 M113 APC, great collection by the way I hope it can be put into good use when SHTF, peace!
wow, the comments are funny, personally who cares whether you know the names or not, and who cares if there really yours or not, it was a nice video of a nice collection of vehicles, dont listen to the radical nitwits that know everything.
daimler ferrits, humber pigs, sarrison, and alvis stalwart, for the brits, dodge 3/4, ford mutt, for the american made stuff, the boat and the hovvercraft can go in the trash. and nobody cares about the forklifts but they are toyota. cool toys, if they are yours and you dont know what they are called, shame on you,
That is a good point. Awesome vehicles, but all are quite thirsty. Add to that the fact that some of them are probably diesel and diesel doesn't store well over time like gas can. Still, I'd love to have even one of those Fox armored cars or the 6-wheeled APC. Very nice collection!
IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU DON'T REALLY KNOW SHIT ABOUT YOUR OWN VEHICLES. YOU THINK IT'S A 30 MM RECOILESS RIFLE? DID YOU INHERIT THEM? I DON'T THINK SO BECAUSE YOU WOULD STILL APPRECIATE THEM ENOUGH TO LEARN ABOUT THEM. NOPE, I THINK IF YOU WERE TO HOP IN ONE OF THOSE, IT WOULD BE BECAUSE YOU ARE EITHER GIVEN PERMISSION OR YOU PUT A BULLET IN THE RIGHTFULL OWNERS HEAD. THOSE LOOKED LIKE POINT TO POINT MICROWAVE DISHES LIKE WHAT RAWLES DESCRIBED IN HIS BOOK. OF COURSE THEIR FREQ RANGE COULD VARY.
@drainocleanser unless you DONT let them capture it... in SHTF they would be occupied with people running around with guns for the fun of it... if they see tanks they would probably run the other way
I'm thinking since you put the vid up, your going to be a target for who ever feels threatened, by you, or some dip shit that thinks he can take your stuff. But that's just my thoughts.
I highly doubt you own all of those. But if you do, you will eventually run out of fuel and have to continue traveling on foot or on horse. Horses rule. And there is no reason to move onward if you are stationed in a settlement that is protected and self-sustaining.
@saints360row Thankfully, I live in an agrarian basin, and there are several horse around these counties. If that were to happen, horses are not too far away. :)
@saints360row dont you hate it when people gotta feel the need to bullshit? if he was in the 100 million catagory, he could MAYBE afford the support he needs for these vehicles ( men to drive them, men to protect the compound, men to grow the food, bla, bla, bla...) horses do rule in the situation we are discussing but even those take some logistics. but they are still doable! your absolutely right about the settlemen to. he could have been cool and did this as an advertisement for his boss.
Can I Have the Track Personal Carrier vehicle or the vehicle next to it at time 0:59? I will take good care of it and live in the woods with it...PLEASE...? =)))))
Please understand, I'm trying to be as un-nosy as possible. But what do you do for a living that allows you to a quire these vehicles. I would like to acquire one for my own just for restoration purposesv/BOV
@oldcatadjuster These were purchased over a decade ago, when their prices were considered "affordable" to what they are today. But, I think that can be said about MANY things these days.
i used to love the engine sound the PIG made ,the Brits always revved the hell out of the six cylinder Rolls Royce B60 petrol engine ,this brings back memories :)
1.00 when i was a kid in belfast in the 70s they were called a SIXER from the six wheels, they were made by alvis and the four wheeled humber was called a PIG :)
@badslabber Glad to see someone else remembers them getting called sixers LoL , have one with 420miles from new now myself , and the "ferrets" which we use to call whippets , do you remember when the brits had the centurion tank dozers on the streets to move the barricades
Oh, well I stand corrected, thanks for info. Thou I get stuck here in Californi with wack Job Libs. Would be nice to have one of those APCs. Wish had some of the gear used while with 82nd, miss the M203 and saws we used. Any how hope you are never forced to use them and our country gets it shit squired away.
Ya Hollywood prop room,, I know were im going when SHTF ,or possable Suppie point, But i Bet most the Libs. that run that place will run home and freak, If they use there heads to use some of those items, They dont got the balls to back up there bullshit, I know im going enjoy clearing House when the Golden Liberal Hord runs like Rats.
@mikecieply does subaru make an older diesel car? i know their engines are horizonally opposed so they are tricky, i seen that they make newer diesels but i want an older one because they are mechanical not electronic. if an emp goes off with a mechanical engine (fuel pump turned by gears) the engine will continue to run just everything else might die such as guages. anyways sorry for bugging u just thought i would ask.
@mikecieply what kind of subaru do u have? i have been looking for a vehicle that has plenty of room but dont drink fuel and i think the subaru would be best. they can almost go anywhere and like u said they get great fuel mileage. there is a catch, i want one with DIESEL i hate gas engines. diesels will get better mpg and are more reliable, less maintenance too :)
These are military vehicles, not SHTF vehicles. The jeep might get you somewhere though. I would put my Subaru up against any of these any day (except the jeep), due to the fact that I can get 30-40 mpg and it can go over 120 mph on the streets. But thank you for sharing a video of valuable military vehicles, they are very improtant. (My grandfather was 5th armored div. WW II.)
when your boss finds out youre showing the world his shit, youre going to be in deep shit!!!!!!!!! you know nothing about them!!! not even a good tour guide!!!!
Might want to study up on the subjects of your videos, at lest then the 12 year olds might believe you. Your boss is gonna be mad when he sees you have made a video with all his stuff on it. At least you didn't give the address and alarm code.
Meh.... any situation where you would have to mount up in armor your screwed anyways. It would be a war or wide spread natural disaster, roads would be impassable as well as monitored and then you have to worry about maintaining all those vehicles. The strategy would be to get to a safe spot then stay there so you can do that with a hummer or something just as easily and it makes less noise and gets better mileage.
I'm thinking this is your employers stuff and you're an idiot without a clue and if the SHTF you wouldn't have the keys or knowledge to even start one of these vehicles.
How in the hell di you acquire all these vehicles?! Wait, you're from Texas, everyone's rich in Texas, right? Must be nice... Though in all honesty, when the real shit hits the fan, there's not going to be anything anyone can do; everyone on the surface of the planet will likely be destroyed. Sad, harsh reality... You think that armor plating is going to save you from going through a debris field ov a comet, mile high waves, pole shift,YELLOWSTONE, MOON/ELENIN/NIBIRU KOLLISION; WE ALL SHALL DIE!
Movie prop studio that you work at..if you had actually purchased those items youd know alittle more about them than you did, not to mention unless u got 20 people with you only one of those is gonna make it out the driveway
It is a 106mm M-40 Recoilless rifle that is mounted on that jeep. I am sure about 200 posted that already. And the "ducks" are actually FV620 Alvis Stalwarts for the UK.
Hey, nice collection of vehicles! I was thinking maybe a 4x4 or 6x6 diesel pinzgauer run on chip fat as a good SHTF vehicle. They are just so capable off road, what do you think?
@bakcompat You should check them out! They have a massive compartment behind the drivers cabin which is ideal for turning into a basic motor home, they can carry 1.5 tons and can drive over pretty much anything!
i love the little six wheelers and the ducks. im looking for an M997 my old ambulance i used to drive as a medic in the army. want to convert it to a ORV camper.
and as soon as the shit hits the fan one niggar with a baseball bat takes this cracker out and then spends the next 10 years putting spinners on all those tracked vehicles from "Rent A Tire"
Note: most earlier APC/ARC vehicles like the ferret/fox and the Saracen are EMP safe with several "safety" features integrated to insure survivability. The fleet of vehicles here is a good choice as a light mech platoon. The Saracen is an IFV. Fighting stations all around and it is VERY quiet. Libertytreeradio for more vids on youtube. MGK/GDW!

Too cool man!
Looks like The Punisher's garage! LOL
Seriously, ever consider renting them out for wargames or war re enactments?
JarottM 5 months ago
@JarottM Those activities do not occur in my region. The only thing they get used for are political functions and parades like Independence Day.
bakcompat 5 months ago
These are military vehicles, not SHTF vehicles. The jeep might get you somewhere though. I would put my Subaru up against any of these any day (except the jeep), due to the fact that I can get 30-40 mpg and it can go over 120 mph on the streets. But thank you for sharing a video of valuable military vehicles, they are very improtant. (My grandfather was 5th armored div. WW II.)

The ducks are not ducks.... they are Alvis Stalwarts 6x6 .... 5 mpg ..... not going to get far in one when the shtf.

Might want to study up on the subjects of your videos, at lest then the 12 year olds might believe you. Your boss is gonna be mad when he sees you have made a video with all his stuff on it. At least you didn't give the address and alarm code.

lots of vehicles, what about fuel?
savagedefender 6 months ago
Meh.... any situation where you would have to mount up in armor your screwed anyways. It would be a war or wide spread natural disaster, roads would be impassable as well as monitored and then you have to worry about maintaining all those vehicles. The strategy would be to get to a safe spot then stay there so you can do that with a hummer or something just as easily and it makes less noise and gets better mileage.

@pac6010
+ a trailer with fuel and water and you're set ;)
savagedefender 6 months ago
I'm thinking this is your employers stuff and you're an idiot without a clue and if the SHTF you wouldn't have the keys or knowledge to even start one of these vehicles.
shtfprepared 6 months ago

@Lexingtonprepdude Only 20 people? Have you met the Texas cadre of Project Appleseed?
bakcompat 7 months ago
@toUnreal And your experience in armored combat is.....? Friends and turrets are not enough. The armored "dragon" has a long long logistical tail.
kwphillips88 7 months ago
It is a 106mm M-40 Recoilless rifle that is mounted on that jeep. I am sure about 200 posted that already. And the "ducks" are actually FV620 Alvis Stalwarts for the UK.

Hey, nice collection of vehicles! I was thinking maybe a 4x4 or 6x6 diesel pinzgauer run on chip fat as a good SHTF vehicle. They are just so capable off road, what do you think?
UnknownGnome1 8 months ago
@UnknownGnome1 don't know anything about that one... but 6x6 beats 4x4 all day long if you can afford to keep them running!
bakcompat 8 months ago
@bakcompat You should check them out! They have a massive compartment behind the drivers cabin which is ideal for turning into a basic motor home, they can carry 1.5 tons and can drive over pretty much anything!
UnknownGnome1 8 months ago
What is the name of the Vehicle at 0:28, you refer to it as a 'duck' but all the 'Ducks'/DUKW I am aware of are from WWII?
thanks for your help!

MGK/GDW!
Libertytreeradio 9 months ago
can i live with you?
stickmymasta 9 months ago
How difficult is maintenance on the APC's and Ducks? How hard is it to get replacement parts? Are they EMP proof?
10106106 9 months ago
1) why all these vehicles?
2)who's gonna keep them running
3)who's gonna keep them fueled?
4)how are you gonna secure them against unfriendly forces?
many more questions but, just thought i would ask
