  • hi this is good.i have aproblem in dp type level transmitter which is calibrated for -20"H2O to 0 "H2O,we filled liquid in impulse line but it showing 100% so what is the solution for this problem?can you tell me?

    There’s a pair of banana plugs plugged in at the bottom of the 744. Looks like the other end of that cable ends in the DUT. There’s also a pair of black alligator clips connected to the DUT. What’s the purpose of these connections during calibration?

  • @reconvolution The black alligator clips are for HART communication. This is a hybrid digital-over-analog signaling used to access the configuration parameters inside the DUT. The Fluke 744 not only serves as a calibration standard here, but also as a "communicator" terminal to access and edit these parameters.

    Pretty cool, huh?
