During the start of WW2 the Germans didn't have the best tanks, not even close. The allies had much better tanks, and the German army as a whole wasn't even that mechanized (considering the post-war propaganda of unbeatable German armies)...

the soviet tank the T34 was the most superior tank in ww2. it was mass manufactured in higher numbers than nazi tanks.

The only problem was slightly with Italy, as their war efforts in Egypt were amazingly lackluster. Other then that, Hitler didn't anticipate the war with the Soviets to drag on for almost half a decade.

During the start of WW2 the Germans didn't have the best tanks, not even close. The allies had much better tanks, and the German army as a whole wasn't even that mechanized (considering the post-war propaganda of unbeatable German armies)...
