The Avengers Cartoon which starts season 2 or 3 depending upon your country has some cues from the Ultimate series crossed with the mainline series. Tony Stark known for being Iron Man for example. The Avengers Cartoon Nick Fury was the son of a black Howling Commando and his apperance is a mixture between mainline Nick Fury and Ultimate Nick Fury not being bald for instance.

Well, visually The Hoff was perfect for Nick Fury. He looks exactly like I'd imagine him live action. Unfortunately for the script and direction...anyway this is still better than Sam Jackson as fury all across the board. At least Hasselhoff is trying to play a part here, and not just doing what Sam Jackson does and show up as himself in every movie. Or rather the delusional image Sam Jackson has of himself.
