Every time I hear this song I start crying because it reminds me that even when you have cancer, your life isn't over and you still have so much to live for and that the people who love us are always there for us through absolutely everything. I love Martina!
I love this song!!! It has such deep and resounding meaning. May God bless you all that are or have suffered and your families, friends and loved ones. May we all find eternal strength and hope to continue the battle!
@taylorpayne2011 Well I know I've got plenty of shortcomings. Actually, I quit smoking since the New Year began. It was my resolution. And what type of cancer do you have?
@taylorpayne2011 Given the data you had to work with, I guess it was a logical inference to draw to assume that I disliked her, but like I said before I do not. I love Martina McBride. No human female is more beautiful than her. And yes, that includes every single supermodel. You are right in stating that neither of us knows her. But I doubt she is the saint that she presents herself as. And if I do get lung cancer, its totally my own fault. Couldn't nip the butts in time.
@taylorpayne2011 Well, I will probably know what it feels like soon enough as my lungs are like burnt charcoal at this point of my life. Just a matter of time. Martina is a bitch. But I never said that I hated her. In fact, I think she is the MOST GORGEOUS woman to ever walk this planet. And personally, stuck up, rich, pretentious bitches like Martina McBride are my type.
Is there not a way to remove these offensive posts? I'm all for freedom of speech, but I just heard this song for the first time and decided to watch it on YouTube. Came across this performance & had a hard time not noticing the completely inappropriate and time wasting comments. What is the rule on YouTube? At what point does a moderator deem them "inappropriate"? What is the point of flagging them If they still remain? Please, for the sake of young women and girls who come to enjoy this video
Unbelievable that you would post this comment on a vey important topic that may some day effect YOUR mom, YOUR daughter, or YOUR sister. So very sad you feel this way for a woman who uses her talent unselfishly to raise money for a cause that may one day save a woman in your family. If you unfortunately find yourself at the hospital bed side of your mother, daughter, or sister as she fights for her life battling breast cancer, may God bless you as you think back to your post
Even though my grandma didn't survive breast cancer this song means the world to me. And as for YOU Allan The Philosopher You Have THE FILTHIEST MOUTH AND YOUR LACK OF RESPECT FOR A WOMAN AS TALENTED as MARTINA is REPULSIVE!!!.Didn't your parents ever teach you that if you don't have a kind thing to say then DON'T SAY A THING!!!!!!.
@allanthephilosopher do you know how much money & time Martina donates to different charities, including granting a dying childs wish & if you're dying of lung cancer then you probably smoke too much... Also her HOME may be worth millions but I don't see you bitching about any other sports stars, actors, singers, ect for their lavish lifestyles (Dr. Phil's is over 8 million, & Gerard Butler owns 2 both worth over 2.5 million). P.S. you don't make at least 5 number 1 hits without tallent
@leahstarlharter Do you know how much money a person gets back on taxes if they donate to charities & childrens' funds? Its a way to prevent"when the tax man come knocking at the door...and the house look like a rummage sale."(CCR)I can bitch about celebs if it will make you more happy. No. I am not at all thrilled that Jordan makes millions on snickers by exploiting helpless Chinese workers. And Ashlee Simpson has no talent but a lot of hits. Popularity does not equal talent.

I first heard this song the week my sister (who is my best friend in the world) was diagnosed with breast cancer. (it was only a month ago) She knows that I will love her through it all and be by her side while she kicks it's ass! I am so sorry to all the people who have lost a loved one to the ugly beast, cancer! My prayers are out there for all of you!,
I lost my wife 2 months ago to cancer. This song struck me hard when I heard it for the first time last week. She was only 38 and we have 3 boys aged 9 and twins 6. Its almost like it was written for us except for the outcome. I wished she could have heard this song.
i lost my wife to cancerone year ago and the words she said my wife went through it so thank youmartinia thank you i ,love you my dear keep us all in your thoughts and prayers becuse i need it please mike from wisconsin
Noticed one "dislike" on here...what type person would not like this song? Wait, they're not a person in my book. I lost a sister at 39 of lung cancer and this song means so much to me...in addition, with Martina McBride singing it!
@danalang72 i lost my cusin to cancer to :| i hated when my friends made fun of cancer n they acted like it was nothing...just ebcause there family members died of cancer...these days kids have no respect for things..
A 15 year old girl holds hands with her 1 year old son. People call her a slut, no one knows she was raped at 13. People trip that boy but he gets enough of that at home. People call an old man ugly. No one knew he had a serious injury to his face while fighting for our country in the war.People call a women bald but they don't know she has cancer Re-post this if you are against bullying and stereotyping. I bet 90% of you won't re-post. Everyone should care.
Beautiful song..amazing & inspiring, thank you to Martina McBride, you give us all hope, those whom have battled or are battling cancer & those whom are going thru the jpurney with our loved ones! Love you sis, your one of the lucky ones! NEVER GIVE UP!
Martina, I missed you at the Opry by 6 days! Attending the Inspirational Country Music Awards as a sponsor on Oct 28th..and walking beside my heroes on the Pink Carpet was a huge honor. Meeting the Issacs there was an added honor &blessing. One day I hope to meet up with you in Nashville...thank you for honoring our survivor heroes. God's amazing love to you, Maryann Makekau ("Little Pink Book" author)
What a beautiful song. It really touches me as my Mama had breast cancer & I was so fortunate to be able to be with her from the beginning even until she took her last breath. I wish she could have pulled through tho cause I sure miss her.
I'm willing to bet that Martina McBride won't be appreciated for her music like she should until years from now..... I'm one of the lucky ones that appreciate her NOW before everyone else figures out what an amazing talent she is. If I had to pick one artist to listen to the rest of my life it would be Martina hands down.... and i love rock and roll.
I must of heard this song over hundred times, and not once have I cried at it until now. I just love how much emotion is in this song, and I love it even more when you can tell it means so much to the person singing it.
I didn't know the song or anything else of this video but it made me cry and it made the singer cry and I thing there are no more words needed than such tears...
I was there!!! My interview was shown during the first commercial break!! My girl Yolanda wasn't televised but she was Women Rock for the Cure's Young Survivor of the Year!!!! Women Rock!!! God bless those who have fought this battle as I have!!!
this song as well as pink and breast cancer awarness month at the opry, makes me even more aware of that mamogram order sitting on my desk. so scared and shaking to even pick up the phone and make that call ...................
