  • oh my god.... o.o he sounds better than my section leader o.o this is not okay...

  • He is comin to my school and I am so exited people in college play this song and he is 10

  • damn im we're on the same level but im 6 years older than him...

  • Bernadette, Bernadette, won't you play my clarinet?

  • Another planet?? K

  • I've been playing clarinet for 4 years. I'm not even close to this.

  • he's a god!

  • Now play the whole thing backwards...

  • Not that, you know, I'm working on this piece as a freshman in college.

    ........

  • I just dont understand how that works!!!!!

  • Forget practicing I'll never compare :( though he practes 3 HOURS A DAY how can he do that I can barely practice 20 minutes gahhhh I'm jealous... But I can't stop listening NOooo must....stop.....from....... breaking ......clarinet

  • He's to that reed on horn what Yehudi Menuhin was to that horse hair on catgut. ABOMINABLY PHENOMENAL!!! I don't know how the heck these prodigies pull it OFF like they do! Oh well, such is life with all it's rich pageantry of top talents. Glad I've seen this before comes my time to drop dead and get buried. Now I can swagger around and brag how I've heard what a mere 10-year-old clarinet vertuoso did to a bundle of notes like what Michelangelo did to a block of rock to liberate David INTACT!!!

  • Yeah I was going to practice but changed my mind...

  • @bananaplate

I'm HIP!!! I was going to, but I looked at my Armstrong and went, "AH HAH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA. FORGET IT, NOW!!!" Then solemly decided to take a match to it to Bliss out on some woodwind-roasted chestnuts and marshmellows. I took the remaining scorched keys and fashioned them with cheap wire into a necklace I now wear and tell curious passerbys gawking at my neck, "It was a Big little Julian that inspired me into the art of odd-looking jewelry design. It's an off-beat story."

  • Three words. Hes. My. Hero.

  • he is amazing. my music teacher met him and she said he was very nice and like helpful. becuz i play clarinet and he was like giving her tips and stuff.

  • Julian must buy me a new pair of pants. Because I have just soiled mine.

  • what a very energetic audience at 2:20 i can see how much of an audience "blue peter" had

  • he came to my school today in canada, wicked cool guy, and a wicked amazing clarinet player

  • @slapfish YEAH me too really amazing

  • you make all state clarinet players jelous! "but sometimes i only get in 2 hours a day." -goodness i wish ihad time for that!!!!!!! just squeezing in time to practice reigion music, solos and band music i hard enough!

  • Shippudensakura. Be honest with yourself. If you had this much talent, let alone ten times as much as he does (as you claim), then you'd be all over the media as well.

You're ten, not the age to boast egotistically on the internet. Why? You just sound ignorant. Read this after you've matured and you'll see what i mean. You can't honestly believe that you have a tone equivalent to his.

  • @randompurple35 When I said "as well as he can" I meant I can play the whole song too. I practice 2 hours a day, have an amazing teacher, and I live in a musical

family. I was exagerating when I said 10 times better. I am just saying I can play the song well. I am sorry about boasting, I was only exagerating. I could hit the high register the first day I got the clarinet. I am sorry, and I don't was to hear about this anymore.

    Shippudensakura9

  • @randompurple35 Oh, and I practiced this song for a while.

    3 months.

  • Amazing talent.

  • pffft... prodigy..... if i did this song it would take bout 3 or 2 mounths with the sheet music in frount of me and i'm in middle school (8th grade)

  • @joejonaslovers4 same here

  • @joejonaslovers4 I know right!

  • so freakin jealous!

  • i feel... so screwed.

  • F*** THIS I QUIT........

  • cygnusrat um i dont think that his clrinet is plastic i think its a peter eaten look at the barrel. xx

  • Okay, I am ten I am 10 times better than him

  • @ShippudenSakura9 I would really see your video of you playing that....

  • @192asso I really honastly would, but my camara is broken.

  • @ShippudenSakura9 yea BS

  • @TheSecretagentspy Okay have you heard of the word exaggerating?

I just can play this song as well as he can.

  • @ShippudenSakura9 but i bet ur not 10

  • @gizelcandy123 Okay Im not 10, Im 10 and a half.

    Who lies about their age?

  • @ShippudenSakura9 u obviosly would hv had to lie bout ur age to get a youtube account cus im pretty sure they wnt let 10 year olds get them

  • @jezusfreek1 I share an account with my dad. Thats how.

  • @ShippudenSakura9 Pff want me to mail you a camera so you can record it?

  • He obviously loves playing!

  • It's great to be able to watch him at various ages and see his musical talent grow and his confidence mature. He's definitely "got music in his soul"!

  • Horovitz sonata for clarinet and piano third movement! he makes me hate myself for being so bad!

  • Amazing.

  • wow my band teacher made me check him out because i play the clarinet and man he's really good glad he told me about him!:)

  • Geez i wish i could sound like that ugh..

  • I didn't even know about a clarinet at the age of 10

  • Omg this is so not fair. lol.

  • hahaha i love how after he says "at least" THREE hours and then the host has no reaction to that and just moves on lol. i would've been like omg wtf? lol. amaznig!

  • jzrnsk: OHHH yeah.. I'm sure you're better than this kid.. HA

  • he had been playing for 5 years before this. soo he is kinda where he should be right now

  • Wow. Prodigies always amaze me, not only because of their talent, but because I always wonder how they discovered their talents. How did his parents know to get him to practice clarinet so much? I guess it's just the way life goes.

  • OH MY GOD!

I'm been a clarinetist for 5 years and I don't think I can be this good!

  • I know! I've been a clarinetist for SEVEN years and I'm nowhere near as good as Julian! But I don't practise as much as him, so I guess it's fair xD

  • Well if you think about it, so was he when this was recorded XD.

  • As of today, I've only played for 4 months. I usually practice at most, an hour a day. At least 10 minutes a day.

  • im shure u dont sound anything like him..

  • whats the name of this peice?

  • Um, I think the last peice is a movement from Messagers 'Solo de concours'

  • it sure is, but i was talking about the first one he played

  • 3 hours a day of practice?!?!? i can't even imagine.

  • thats just not right...

    o.0

  • wow i didnt start clarinet till i was 11 and like hes a little bit under my skill level at 10 and im fricking 18, i suck -.-

  • This lowers my self confidence by a lot.

    He's so good, and he's only 10!

  • good god.

  • ...um can I die now? Ugh he's beyond amazing even at 10...

I'm so jealous, thats it, he motivated me to practice, oh julian bliss :[

  • his first piece didnt wow me so much and it made me think that he was possibly overrated although he is only 10. but then i heard his solo de concours - a messager and WOW he has some crazy technique, and the sound quality came later. im almost 14 and learning the solo de concours is a big pain in the butt for me!!!

  • *breaks clarinet in half*

  • lol

  • @D4tDr3wB0y Haha.. you're not the only one.. 7 long years.. such a piece with the age of 10!!! gosh that's amazing! *also want to play like this*

  • -.- I'm 17 and I could probably play that if i had the sheet in front of me and 2 months to practice but my sound would not compare. HATE HIM! he has discipline AND good sound quality...and on a PLASTIC clarinet too! WTF

  • @CygnusRat - What you're saying is means nothing......he is 10...you are what? 17....what's your argument?

  • @xHuntedGunzPCGx First of all that you need to proofread your messages and also see that I posted that message a year ago. Second, there was no argument. I was simply saying that he was extremely talented.

  • @CygnusRat The first part of your comment is not commending on behalf of Julian Bliss. No proofreading is necessary,

  • @CygnusRat You know if you actually are a clarinetist you'd know he's kinda a respectable famous one now. If you pursue music in college you'd be quickly put into place.

  • @CygnusRat I know...like really now.. these types of things are the most discouraging things ever..

  • how old is he now>?

  • he's at least 18, use the search.

  • 20. playing at ma school in 23 hours :D

  • 19 is his age

  • ok, I am a sophomore at my highschool and I'm the best clarinet there by far, and yet this kid makes me want to burn my clarinet. he's playing crap i would never even dream of playing right now. OMFG!!! WHAT THE CRAP!!!

  • Now I believe that he is playing that.

  • I can't remember every note from a song.

  • what's the name of this piece?

  • The third movement of Joseph Horowitz Sonatina for Clarinet and Piano.

  • I'm 19 and a performance major and he's better than me... @ 10!

  • Amazing... at 10, he had already mastered the most important issues on a clarinetist: discipline and quality of the sound
