This was so hard to watch because I had a cat named Sam that did the same thing when our other cat, Ming, was hit by a car. Then Sam stayed in the street and wouldn't leave Ming (even when cars came, they had to steer around him) until we came and wrapped our Ming in a blanket and carried him in the house, then Sam followed us. It makes me cry remembering it.
