problem with this verb pedal and most of the other verb pedals out there is that they mess with the dry signal too much, and I have no use for them. compare this to a Malekko Chicklet or a Wet Reverb and you will hear what I'm talking about

@TheBlueBandYTAccount Go with a Gibson Les Paul and a vintage Black Face, Vibrolux Reverb. Alternatively, use a Strat. Mark has used multiple combinations of equipment over the years. The Sultans of Swing thing was a Les Paul, into a Vibrolux Reverb, so I'm told. I'm no Mark expert though. Just trying to be helpful.

I am having trouble picking a good reverb unit for my set up. This pedal seems like it not only adds reverb, but it also colors your signal a bit. I already love the tone i get from my '64 silvertone all tube, so i don't want something throwing it off, i just want me some reverb. Should i go with the FRV1 or something more like the Holy Grail Nano?

i have this pedal and i love it! many people think this is a reverb like EH Holy Grail, Boss RV-5 or the Digitech Digiverb but this is a different kind of pedal. I use it alone, without any OD's on or anything. i do this because the pedal seems to add a bit of natural-like distortion on it's own at time. i have found that using it alone serves me quite well. to me, it's a specialty pedal =]

I have one already and its great! got chills every time I plug it in... i notice that it responds well when you do vibrato or when you apply pressure to the strings... this vid help me a lot bec it features the whole spectrum of what this pedal can do such as surf, rock, blues, and most specially warm jazz.. hope for your reply regarding my overdrive question. have a nice day

@wallmethod The FBM1 is an overdrive/distortion pedal, he is getting his overdrive form another pedal or his amp! I use my FRV1 with my original Ibanez Tube Screamer and it does not lose it's integrity! I hear that the FRV1 and the FBM1 are great together!

to play most other styles is ok but you can play almost all other with common reverb pedals...

I have a twin for the last 15 years and played in surf bands, etc so I know pretty well what a wet reverb should sound

this one and the spring king are the best but still not so good may be in the future

OK, I hate Boss and I'm not going to rush out and get this pedal or anything cause I have two fender amps with some nice spring reverb on them but, I will say this thing sounds good. And doing an awesome job playing some kick-ass Radiohead to show how it sounds didn't hurt!
