I'm not opposed to Lucas doing this, I just think he could've done a different time period. The 3 years between Episode II and Episode III have been covered very thoroughly. He should've done the 10 years between Episode I and Episode II to show how eight year old Anakin progressed into eighteen year old Anakin. Or even the 19 years between Episode III and Episode IV to help link the two trilogies together.

George lucas didnt direct Empire Strikes Back or Return of the Jedi, so letting some one else direct new films probably isnt that big an issue. I saw a two minute sneek peak, and OH MY GOD my eyes were bleeding by the time it ended. yes it sucks big harry Bantha balls. Except for maybe the space fight sceens...MAYBE, but otherwise it's a horribly voice acted, stupidly dialoged, and WAAAAAAAAAY to cartoon-y craptacular shitfest that looks like it was directed by the power rangers cast. when i was a kid, and Empire was released, lucas said that he was going to do nine films as three sets of trilogies. the prequel trilogy was to follow the original; the setting for the last trilogy was to be after the events of the original trilogy. and they were all supposed to be done by now.

Not much of a gap. They go that world where Anakin frees all the mutated feline-type aliens, where he experiences both some weird initiation, aswell as him seeing his future self for the first time along with the destrucion of his second cybernetic arm, which he repaired afterwards before heading back to Coruscant. Lucas needs to quit tossing monkey shit in our eyes with these Clone Wars (Who isn't fine with Anakin NOT being a Jedi Master? Seriously, he wasn't one in the movie, making him angry)
I think I'd rather see a 7-9 done like this. All animated, but eh, this is cool too. If the quality is on par with Tartakovsky then I'm REALLY all for this. And let's not base all our opinions off of 4 seconds with two lines, shall we? =)
George said there are no 7-9, but Mark Hamil said that George asked him during the filming of ep4 if he would play the role again in 2011 as an Obiwan type mentor.
2013 would be a good release year. Exactly 30 years after we last saw the original cast in ROTJ. That would mean GL needs to get his ass in gear and start making ep 7 in a couple of years.

I've seen a new trailer that looks even better. GL said he could have done it like Bewolf, but intentionally chose an old fashion look. Funny, this animation style made me think of the old paper mashay Christmas shows. Works for me, but I would also really like to see some story 10 years after ep3, using CGI (Bewolf style) and recreate Alec Guinness as Obiwan and Harrison Ford as a young Han Solo.

Ok what the **** is up with the plot in this film? From the preview I saw on TV Jabba the Hut has a kid. Count Dooku kidnaps his kid, and the Jedi come running to Jabba's aid. when i was a kid, and Empire was released, lucas said that he was going to do nine films as three sets of trilogies. the prequel trilogy was to follow the original; the setting for the last trilogy was to be after the events of the original trilogy. and they were all supposed to be done by now.
didn't they already do the clone wars? or is lucas so bored with tampering with his other films that he is already rewriting the cartoon

Ah shit its about the Jedi again. I really don't give a shit about the Jedi since they pretty much did close to shit during the clone wars and it was mostly well the CLONES that actually did most of the work. Jedi just got a lot of clones killed since they had close to no experience in military matters but were made generals off the bat because of their ow so mystical force powers.

The way I understand it is that originally, Lucas had the general idea of 9 episodes, but decided to start with the middle trilogy.
There are currently storylines for episodes 7 and beyond, but I don't think they are in script form - only novels written by EU authors.
The -official- word is that they currently don't have plans to make any more movies. (7, 8, 9) - but I wouldn't believe that. That would be silly.

Well there is a gap between Anakin's promotion to Jedi Knight and the abduction of Palpatine. Maybe the series will take place during that gap.

Not much of a gap. They go that world where Anakin frees all the mutated feline-type aliens, where he experiences both some weird initiation, aswell as him seeing his future self for the first time along with the destrucion of his second cybernetic arm, which he repaired afterwards before heading back to Coruscant. Lucas needs to quit tossing monkey shit in our eyes with these Clone Wars (Who isn't fine with Anakin NOT being a Jedi Master? Seriously, he wasn't one in the movie, making him angry)

George said there are no 7-9, but Mark Hamil said that George asked him during the filming of ep4 if he would play the role again in 2011 as an Obiwan type mentor.

I've seen a new trailer that looks even better. GL said he could have done it like Bewolf, but intentionally chose an old fashion look. Funny, this animation style made me think of the old paper mashay Christmas shows. Works for me, but I would also really like to see some story 10 years after ep3, using CGI (Bewolf style) and recreate Alec Guinness as Obiwan and Harrison Ford as a young Han Solo.
